Nice property. Room on the small side for 3 beds. Cleaner did a good job. Restaurant Was not open for dinner, selection of food available from the bar. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Good location for Guggenheim and easy walk to old town along the river.

Ottima la posizione, noi avevamo una superiore in offerta, ottima la pulizia, dotato di parcheggio 21 euro a notte, non abbiamo fatto colazione. We were offered a river-view from for an extra 20 euros and having turned that down it almost felt as if we were being punished by having a room with one velux window in the eaves. Be aware that unless you arrive at the hotel on the riverside road driving South there is nowhere to pull in and the car park isn't obvious. We ended up parking on the street first and then checking in, fortunately we didn't get a ticket. If you have a large car you're going to hate the car park which is very tight especially if you need to get down to the second level. On the plus side the beds are comfortable and the rooms have plenty of space and storage.

A perfect base for exploring Bilbao with the Guggenheim, city centre and old town all within 10 minutes walk. Really comfortable hotel, contemporary design and very friendly staff. Parking is a bit tight but easy to find. Highly recommend staying here!

The reason I give 3 stars for service is because of an incident in the café. We ordered 3 coffees from a not so interested bar attendant. When I paid with card I accidently pulled out my card from the machine too early (the screen showed a green ✅️ so I assumed it was done). The man got quite annoyed and restarted the process accompanied with a long mumbling of swear words in Spanish (mierda etc.) Not very nice... But everyone else have been very accomodating and been very service minded.

Parking garage onsite is good but tight! Our small minivan scratched on the way down. Drive with caution. Room was clean and perfect walking distance to and from Guggenheim.

The hotel room maybe not as large as expected but comfortable bed and bedding are huge plus. The soundproofing window, in room coffee maker, and a kettle are another plus, which most span hotel miss those items. The parking is somewhat challenging, and need extra careful move around in the underground parking garage.

Hotel was nice and mostly clean, my room did feel out of maintenance, carpet had stains all over or broken, paint in walls had spots, didn’t feel very clean, found facial hairs on the glasses in the washroom. The room smelled like cigarette a lot, I had to ask for them to change for a room and they only air it up which made the stink go mostly away. The place was 10 min walk distance to the Guggenheim same for most core areas. Staff were nice.

Property is facing the river and the promenade, which is a nice aspect of the city. The hotel is across the water from the Guggenheim in Bilbao, and the stunning Zubizari bridge is directly outside the hotel. The rooms could be a bit better maintained as noticeable damage to the walls (scuff marks that need painting over) and the wood paneling (suitcases clearly knicked the wood paneling in my room), and the toilet paper holders are installed at 8 degree angle for some reason. Dust bunnies behind the mini refrigerator could also be tended to as well. Please consider providing more outlets in the room for guests, as it was difficult to find an outlet for the iron. Also, please consider putting regular ironing boards in the rooms as the small ones provided to guests are insufficient.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Notre chambre était confortable, bien équipée et très propre. Petite pâtisserie d’accueil et tous après-midi dans le hall d’entrée, nous avions une boisson rafraîchissante et des bonbons à disposition. Le petit-déjeuner était bon et varié. Cet hôtel est très bien situé, nous faisions tout à pied et le réceptionniste nous avait donné de très bonnes recommandations pour les visites et les restaurants.

Lage des Hotels zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten von Bilbao wie Innenstadt, Guggenheim-Museum und Altstadt gut, da alles fußläufig erreichbar ist. Das Hotel selber ist, es vornehm auszudrücken, in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten eine Suite upgegradet, was ein Witz war. Der Zustand der Suite heruntergekommen mit diversen Schäden an Wänden, Mobiliar und Vorhängen. Die Klima-Anlage funktionierte aus welchen Gründen auch immer nicht und das bei 30° Aussentemperatur und kompletter Sonneneinstrahlung. Der der Badewanne fehlte der Stopfen und die Düsen zur Massage funktionierten ebenfalls nicht. Interesse an einer Reparatur bestand beim Personal ebenfalls nicht. Frühstück mittelmäßig. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals hat deutlich Luft nach oben!!

Great location where you can walk to all the key parts of town. Reception were lovely and the room was spacious. Our only issue was the temperature! The room was so hot we struggled to sleep - we were advised they don't have air con over winter periods so there was nothing that could be done. A shame as otherwise it was lovely.

Myself and 2 friends had a triple room. The en-suite within the room has frosted doors that aren’t sealed so not only can you see silhouettes when showering/going to the toilet, there no sound proofing. This can make it very awkward for couples or friends. This was the only complaint for the hotel. There was a great selection for breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and location couldn’t have been better. Everything is walkable!

We had an excellent stay at the Hesperia Hotel. We had a problem with our booked room when we arrived but Miriam at reception solved the issue immediately. Miriam was very helpful and friendly. Vi hadde en supert opphold. Servicen i resepsjonen er eksepsjonell. Fem minutters gange til Guggenheim museeet og 10 minutter til gamlebyen. Kort vei til sentrum. Store gode senger med utsøkt sengetøy. Spør i resepsjonen etter tips til blant annet restaurant, de er svært dyktige og innehar god informasjon og kompetanse.

Overall I would say the stay was just average and acceptable. I don’t think it is quite worth the price and we were underwhelmed by the general standard of all facilities. The room was tired, the black out curtain ripped and hanging off, black mould on the window surround. The bathroom was dark and dated also. Breakfast was underwhelming, a big choice but not of a very high quality or anything particularly special. Staff friendly, room quiet and comfortable. Check in slow. Well located for Guggenheim and walkable to old town.

My family and I always enjoy staying at the Hesperia in Bilbao. The staff are friendly, it’s clean and safe. The Hesperia is located near Old Town and the Guggenheim, with tons of great restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping and parks. The train is across the bridge as well making it an ideal location to stay.

Location was adjacent to Rio Nervion and the pedestrian bridge for quick access into Bilbao. We arrived early from an overnight flight from the U.S., and the front desk staff were able to accommodate us with an upgrade (small fee) to a larger suite so we could get some sleep! Room was well appointed and the breakfast was very nice.

Great hotel, perfect for our 5 day break in the city. Walking distance to many great restaurants, in new town, Guggenheim and the metro. Lovely peaceful location, beside river. Friendly staff, all the receptionists spoke English which I wasn’t expecting. Breakfast spread was amazing.

The location was great, easy walk to both the old town and Guggenheim, however it felt a bit overpriced for what the room was. Nor was there any tourist information anywhere at all, and no recycling at all. The reception staff were friendly, my main issue was with the "restaurant". There was only a handful of us in the bar/eating area, but I was ignored for nearly 20 minutes, and then received what looked and tasted like microwaved lasagne, so I wouldn't recommend eating there.

Overall a positive stay. The location is excellent - close proximity to Guggenheim, funicular and Casco Viejo. Appreciated that staff let guests borrow umbrellas when it rained. Only minor gripes were lack of same day laundry service (at least the morning I inquired), bathroom countertop not thoroughly scrubbed and warm breakfast items were not warm at all (though variety of buffet was excellent).
