Hotel is located in the centre of Manhattan and New York's use of street numbering made it relatively easy to find. Nearest subway is circa 3 minutes away (51st St) and Grand Central is 10 minutes away (more connections), Time Squire is 20 minutes away. Pleasantly surprises about breakfast, limited choice but the food was fresh and staff very helpful. Also limited seating which can be a problem at busy times. The main drawback was being unable to open the windows & curtains, room enclosed on all sides externally and no natural light.

Friendly staff ! Love mini kitchen and apartment style hotel. Spacious rooms. Bed sheets were not the cleanest. Old building not good cable selection , no smart TVs. One elevator for 8 floors very tight could not fit luggage rack in. A hassle waiting for it daily.

The property is old, but it is clean and SPACIOUS! We booked one of the penthouses on the top, and it had a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a dining area, a living room, and a private terrace. 10 minutes walk to Times Square.

Great location and good stay; Plenty of space for our family of 4. Boys on sofa bed in the living room and a separate room for us parents. Basic breakfast worked well for us and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There is only a single lift / elevator (which was broken for a day), but was a great stay.

Hôtel très vétuste . Stores cassés radiateurs cassés , impossible de baisser la température. Literies médiocres. Dalles de la terrasse sont pour la plus part cassées manque de chaises seulement 4 en terrasse pour un PH de 6 personnes. Le dernier jour 1 h avant le départ refus de l’hôtesse d’accueil de nous donner accès au wc alors qu’il y en avait . Nous savions que les normes ne sont pas les mêmes mais pour ma part l’hôtel mérite plus qu’un rafraîchissement. Par contre petit déjeuner très copieux. Emplacement est parfait et surtout au calme . Pour la propreté je n’ai pas mis toutes les étoiles car les vitres étaient tellement sales qu’on ne voyait pas à travers . Mais le reste était très bien .

Estive no Best Western Plus com minha família de 4 pessoas por 8 diárias. Definitivamente, não foi uma boa experiência. Pontos positivos: uma excelente localização, com um ótimo café da manhã, considerando os padrões de NY. Trata-se de um apartamento muito espaçoso, com sala e cozinha, possibilitando prepararmos o jantar e depois assistirmos televisão, o que prezamos bastante. A cama é ótima, o sofá cama também, e o banheiro atende bem. Ponto negativo: o hotel é muito antigo, paredes em alguns trechos descascando, precisa urgentemente de uma reforma. Até aí ok, não chega a ser um grande problema. Ponto inadmissível: após 7 noites no apartamento 3C, escutando barulhos muito estranhos, descobrimos camundongos no apartamento. Minha mulher acordou ouvindo barulhos, ligou a lanterna do celular e viu um camundongo correndo para dentro do armário. E em seguida minha filha viu outro, correndo para baixo do sofá. Tínhamos alguns chocolates e batatas fritas nas malas, e constatamos que todos foram roídos pelos camundongos. Fui diretamente na recepção, relatei o ocorrido, e somente me disseram que nos trocariam de quarto. Ainda fiz questão que uma pessoa do hotel, não sei exatamente sua função, subisse para constatar o ocorrido. Entendo que NY tem bastante camundongos e ratos, às vezes, foge ao controle. O que realmente me chateou, foi a indiferença com que tudo foi tratado. Não recebi um único pedido de desculpas, de ninguém. É uma pena, pois é um hotel com grande potencial.

Every staff member we encountered was outstanding! Very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were comparable to a 2 bedroom apartment, and were comfortable and clean. The location was ideal for exploring and walkable (within a mile or two) to Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Times Square etc. We plan to book this property the next time we return to NYC.

It was a vert spacy apartment with plenty of room for all of us. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. You are close to Grand central station which makes getting around easy. Definitely check out the grand central market! Fresh food and snacks. would definitely book again.

Staff was very friendly. Good space and bedrooms were set up nicely but there are so many spaces that could be cleaned properly. For the money being charged, BW can do better. There is a reason why I stick with Marriot Hotels and its standards. Never again will I try another brand of hotel.

Die Unterkunft wirkt etwas heruntergekommen und das Penthouse entsprach nicht den Fotos. Der Balkon war eine pure Baustelle, der Kühlschrank muss dringend in den Ritzen gereinigt werden, der Flur hat sehr gestunken auf unserer Etage. Die Lage und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist wirklich super, aber noch einmal würden wir nicht kommen. Ein sehr schlechtes Preis leistungs Verhältnis.

Appartement hôtel très bien situé dans Manhattan, proche de beaucoup de centres d'intérêts et accessible facilement en transports en commun. Personnel agréable, notamment la personne à l'accueil qui nous a parlé français et nous a très bien conseillé. Merci à elle. Appartement 2 chambres très spacieux, bien équipé et propre. Seul bémol: la climatisation fait beaucoup de bruit notamment dans les chambres. Petit déjeuner servi dans une salle assez petite. Bon sans plus mais a le mérite d'être proposé. De manière générale, c'est un très bon hôtel que je recommande pour les familles. Nous avons malheureusement eu des travaux dans la rue avec échafaudage aux fenêtres des chambres donc pas super mais globalement nous y avons très bien séjourné. La superficie de l'appartement et la possibilité de se faire à manger avec une cuisine toute équipée sont des vrais plus. Le bruit est le seul bémol mais c'est NY !

Four of us stayed me, my husband and two teenage daughters. The room was very clean and spacious. By NY standards, the room was huge! My daughters slept on the pull out couch, which was pretty comfortable. The linens were high quality. The location is very convenient and close to many destinations. The staff very friendly. It was great having a pizzeria next door. We plan on staying at the Bayard for any future NYC trips.

I wasn't expecting such a nice large room at a great price in nyc. The room was awesome. My wife and I, and our 2 kids had loads of room and 3 tvs. Seriously could not be happier. Breakfast was great. Buffet style. Coffee, juices, hot chocolate. It was nice to be able to get some food before going out exploring.

Absolutely wonderful! Our suite was remarkably spacious, well-appointed, and clean. The staff was friendly, helpful, and personable. I was particularly impressed with the complimentary coffees and hot chocolates. The rooms were comfortable and the location was ideal. I highly recommend the Bayard!

Estive no Best Western Plus com minha família de 4 pessoas por 8 diárias. Definitivamente, não foi uma boa experiência. Pontos positivos: uma excelente localização, com um ótimo café da manhã, considerando os padrões de NY. Trata-se de um apartamento muito espaçoso, com sala e cozinha, possibilitando prepararmos o jantar e depois assistirmos televisão, o que prezamos bastante. A cama é ótima, o sofá cama também, e o banheiro atende bem. Ponto negativo: o hotel é muito antigo, paredes em alguns trechos descascando, precisa urgentemente de uma reforma. Até aí ok, não chega a ser um grande problema. Ponto inadmissível: após 7 noites no apartamento 3C, escutando barulhos muito estranhos, descobrimos camundongos no apartamento. Minha mulher acordou ouvindo barulhos, ligou a lanterna do celular e viu um camundongo correndo para dentro do armário. E em seguida minha filha viu outro, correndo para baixo do sofá. The hotel looks good in the pictures. In person it's very dated. There is no heater in the rooms, only some sort of central building heating that barely works. I would have never even assumed a hotel room does not have a heater in it. Microwave and stove barely worked. Most of the staff seem bothered if asked for anything (except the young girl receptionist, I forgot her name but she was very nice and greated us all the time). Asked multiple times for extra towels, they brought 2 for 3 people for 5 days. Asked multiple times to refill soap in shower, it never got filled, they finally came with a basic bar of soap. For my dinner I needed hot sauce, I asked them if I can have some they said they don't have hot sauce, when they do, they have it in the breakfast area, but didn't want to take the extra step to give me some. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs and sausage are very water downed. The waffles are very good though but the breakfast attendant also was very flustered when trying to get help because we didn't know how to use the machine and made a little mess. The workers kept asking how many people I have in the room, I paid for 3, always had 3. Shouldn't have to keep explaining why we choose to eat at different time or want a fresh towel to dry off after taking a shower. Overall for a hotel they just need to be more nice and accommodating.

Hotel staff are DYNAMIC! I have never had people do so much to make sure we had a good visit. The apartment was super clean and we totally appreciated the snacks. The breakfast was so much more than we expected. They even accommodated special dietary needs. We will never stay anywhere else going forward.

My family of 5 stayed here during our 4 day stay in the city. The location could not be any better. We walked to Times Square and Central Park. The subway is a block away. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very convenient and helped save a little cash in this pricey world we live in. The room was perfect for a large group and easily accessible to all our adult children. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to others!

This was a great experience from beginning to end. The room was very clean and exactly as pictured, and the front desk associates were beyond helpful and nice, especially the woman who was there for most of our stay. I forgot to ask her name, but I do know she has a teen daughter like I do and was just an absolute gem from the moment we walked in. She even brought my daughter some candy for her birthday as we were getting on the elevator because I'd mentioned we were there to celebrate. I will definitely be staying at The Bayard again and recommending it to anyone looking for a place to stay in NYC with a great location, plenty of room, and a wonderful staff!

This hotel is pathetic. NYC gets 30 inches of snow, state of emergency declared, order to stay off the roads and my flight was cancelled. They would not refund my two night stay even though no one could get there. I don’t want to hear about I could have bought the travel insurance” because this is highly unethical and illegal. I’ve filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Board as well as two state agencies. It’s like charging $10 a gallon for gas in a hurricane evacuation. Pathetic.

Amazing location for a family of 6. Dated space but the size of the unit was massive and quite rare in NY. Grand central and the 51st station were within walking distance. The staff at the front desk were helpful and always accommodating. We will be back.

A member of the staff tried to enter my room at 1:44 am, without even knocking first. I phoned the front desk and they apologized and said the reason was that I was in the wrong room so they thought it wasn't occupied. In the morning when I went to report this to reception the woman working there said it couldn't have happened. No apology just complete denial. This is the second time this has happened to me at this hotel. Honestly, it feels unsafe and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This place is amazing! What a fantastic deal for a family of 6 to be safe and comfortable in NYC. The location couldn’t have been any better, this is a hidden gem. The rooms are older but they are clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating. The breakfast had a variety of eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, pastries, juices, yogurt and fruit. The coffee/hot chocolate machine was available 24/7. 2 blocks to Subway station and about 3 blocks to Grand Central Station. 10 minute walk to Rockefeller Center. Will definitely be back.

Hotel is located in the centre of Manhattan and New York's use of street numbering made it relatively easy to find. Nearest subway is circa 3 minutes away (51st St) and Grand Central is 10 minutes away (more connections), Time Squire is 20 minutes away. Pleasantly surprises about breakfast, limited choice but the food was fresh and staff very helpful. Also limited seating which can be a problem at busy times. The main drawback was being unable to open the windows & curtains, room enclosed on all sides externally and no natural light.

Great spot for our family to unwind away from the crowds of Rock center and Times Square. Everything we needed was within 1-2 blocks- subway, groceries, NY bagels and all of NY at our doorstep. So glad a fiend told us about this gem!

Every staff member we encountered was outstanding! Very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were comparable to a 2 bedroom apartment, and were comfortable and clean. The location was ideal for exploring and walkable (within a mile or two) to Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Times Square etc. We plan to book this property the next time we return to NYC.

Personnel agréable, notamment la personne à l'accueil qui nous a parlé français et nous a très bien conseillé. Merci à elle. Appartement 2 chambres très spacieux, bien équipé et propre. Seul bémol: la climatisation fait beaucoup de bruit notamment dans les chambres. Petit déjeuner servi dans une salle assez petite. Bon sans plus mais a le mérite d'être proposé. De manière générale, c'est un très bon hôtel que je recommande pour les familles. Nous avons malheureusement eu des travaux dans la rue avec échafaudage aux fenêtres des chambres donc pas super mais globalement nous y avons très bien séjourné. La superficie de l'appartement et la possibilité de se faire à manger avec une cuisine toute équipée sont des vrais plus. Le bruit est le seul bémol mais c'est NY !

The room look the same as pictures. Very good location, walking distance to subway, food place, 24h supermarket and to Times Sq area. Room is very big for NYC standard. Furniture abit old yet is clean. Room abit dark due to lighting & dark huge furnitures. The breakfast place is abit headache, the cafe is so tiny, crowded and not much food. Good point was they allowed us to collect our food and eat in our room. Overall was a good experience.

I wasn't expecting such a nice large room at a great price in nyc. The room was awesome. My wife and I, and our 2 kids had loads of room and 3 tvs. Seriously could not be happier. Breakfast was great. Buffet style. Coffee, juices, hot chocolate. It was nice to be able to get some food before going out exploring.

We stayed in a two bedroom penthouse apartment with a sofabed which was great as it meant our two teenage children could have their own rooms. The location was amazing and we really loved being able to eat the free breakfast on the terrace to our apartment. A great find!

Really enjoyed having the flexibility that the Bayard location offered. We will definately use this as our hotel of choice when we travel in the future to NYC. Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of. Very accessible to multiple areas and clean and service was accommodating. We felt appreciated and welcomed

I know it was a fluke, but the day we got there, there was a notice posted that the next day there would be no water surprise. I thought that was outrageous no showers there were 5 of us with 2 children anyway, the patio was also unavailable under construction struction... looked fine? And the expedia website claimed there were city views upon arrival we were told that they had no city views and the website was wrong as usual great location gorgeous room really really bad toilet tissue and the hotel restaurant was unavailable throughout our stay
