Lovely Georgian period house with grounds. Would be a great peaceful or get away stay. Gym / pool closes at 8pm though

Location & appearance stunning. Interior decoration was period and sympathetic for the age of the property. Staff were polite well dressed & at tentative to your needs. Spa was well appointed, only slight drawback was you need to get the lift up to the spa which unfortunately was out of order, so needed to walk the stairs to reach it. If you ask at the main hall bar/dinning area you can even have a small tour under the premises to the wine cellar & rooms. We look forward to visiting again.

We had an amazing stay at Rushton Hall for our anniversary. The hotel is grand upon arrival, spotless, cosy, and beautifully maintained inside and out. There is so much history! The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and really made us feel special & welcome. We stayed in the Mrs Medlycott room which was lovely and very well equipped (the TV in the bathroom was such a nice touch!) and the bed was super comfortable. The spa was very relaxing and spotless, and the grounds are perfectly kept—ideal for a peaceful stroll. We also enjoyed the three-course Sunday lunch, which was delicious, and finished the evening with cocktails in the bar, where the barman happily made our special requests! Overall, a perfect stay from start to finish and we wish we could’ve stayed another night. We can’t wait to return again soon. Thank you!!

We were three old school friends on our annual weekend away and had such a gorgeous stay at Rushton Hall. The epitome of rest and relaxation, it was perfect. My only criticism is that service is a little slow, but all of the staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Nothing was too much for them, they went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly commended.

Was a beautiful stay, we had Miss Thornhill bedroom and it was perfect!! The only problem was the pool closing so early! Not enough time to enjoy if your their one night

Beautiful old house in very peaceful and pleasant surroundings. However, the grounds looked larger on their website and disappointingly you could walk round them in less than 10 minutes. Apart from the spa/pool, in terms of a games room, they only had a snooker room which was locked for the three days during our stay. On a positive note, the room was comfortable and clean and the staff were all very friendly and polite.

Lovely stately home for an overnight in a superior room. Unlike some of these types of hotels this one is very well maintained and staffed. Even at 11.30pm there were 4 people on reception. Spa was very good too- again many places claim to have a “spa” but rushton is the real deal.

Lovely location and setting. The hotel is impressive and intresting history. Large rooms and very comfortable bed slept really well. However once you look on more detail the cleanliness is not 100% and needs better up keep in certain areas. Room had cob webs / hairs in bath / stains on carpet and walls need a fesh coat of paint, some paint peeling off in areas. Food wasnt that good for price and didnt have breakfast as was a buffet and generally buffets cheap,would have been nice for more options.also would expect at £4.50 for a tea it would have been loose leaf rather then a tea bag. That said for £103 for night its a good deal for amount of space and location. Bit of hike to room so if your older or cant lug your case and walk to far ensure you book nearer reception on ground floor, lifts not working. I would stay again but go out to eat as food expensive and not worth the price didnt enjoy dinner.

Fabulous stay, clean and luxurious. Staff were very helpful. Good pricing and will return.

Room was in need of a refresh, black mood in shower, sink badly cracked, extractor fan not working, blind broken and curtain faded and torn. Service in dining was slow and front of house had poor knowledge of menu.

The room was lovely but wasn't the cleanest. We would have complained but we were only there for one full night. The phone was new but wasn't working which meant that we had to go down to the reception whenever we wanted to tell them something. Other than that, we didn't have any issues. The staff were very helpful, the scenery was beautiful, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious!

Standard of room cleanliness was appalling. Not what you would expect from such a distinguished establishment.

It was not a 4 star type of place. Building are decrepit. Broken glass in windows. Mold. We left the next morning

Lovely building and grounds, well kept. Lovely big room and spa. A couple of bits in the bathroom could do with touching up but nothing major, still really nice. Staff are really friendly. Would recommend more than one night to get the full experience

I was mostly disappointed with bed covers my side had a blood mark on so I did not sleep in it. I slept over the covers I found that very disgusting I did want to let reception know but there were ladies waiting around me.

Out stay was lovely tge air con didn't turn on and the phone in the room didn't work also the room that was the main picture was what I thought we booked we didn't get that room and was told by reception we should have requested that room witch was annoying but apart from that our stay ticked all the boxes

We visited Rushton Hall hotel for a short break, attracted by its history, the ability to go for walks in the grounds, and the spa. On arrival, we were upgraded to a larger room, which had a generous super king bed and an enormous bathroom, in the old part house. The bed was comfortable, with quality bed linen, and our bathroom had both a shower and a deep freestanding bath. The towels were lovely and fluffy, and were changed daily. A bonus was the addition of air-conditioning, although it's location meant you've got a bit of a breeze if you left it on overnight. The decor was a little tired in places, but it did not affect our stay. The house itself dates largely from the 17th century, and the wood-panelled interiors are what you would expect of an English country house. The Great Hall and the Drawing Room are particularly impressive, but it was also lovely to sit and have a drink in the central courtyard. Breakfast was not included in our package, and it was an extra £20 per head. However, the buffet (both continental and cooked), meant you had a good choice, and additional items were available to order at no extra charge (such as poached or fried eggs, vegetarian sausages, kippers, etc). We ate our evening meals in the Brasserie; quality was good, some items better than others, although desserts were very nice. Staff were obliging and very pleasant throughout. We would happily return.

What can you say about a property built in the 1400’s. Absolutely amazing. This place has so much character and charm. That said, any old property comes with upkeep challenges. They have done a good job, but we had little issues. No privacy blind on the bathroom, floor to ceiling window. We used towels to block the window. Refrigerator and phone in the room did not work. AC was great. Bar had no tap beers and everything was expensive to include the restaurant where the portions were very small. Staff were very nice. Did not try the spa so cannot comment on that. Nice for the experience, but would not do it twice.

Room was way better than I imagined with a view of the gardens.Nice large and comfy bed and decor was a high standard.Booked a superior room so got an entrance hall and dressing room. Grounds were stunning and enjoyed a walk before a nice evening meal. The hotel bar was in the great hall which was an amazing location. The only let down was the WiFi and phone reception.Probably due to the location and age of building. Would recommend to anyone wanting a luxury break away in the country.

I like this hotel and use it a lot...and thought my luck was in this time when offered an upgrade... Sadly... The room while lovely was next to reception... So noisy until the early hours with people and staff coming and going... And the reception music is on a speaker next to the bedroom wall was playing until well after midnight... Will be careful accepting an upgrade next time

We have stayed at this hotel before, but this time we were placed in the ‘Tower Room’, which was essentially a space between a lift shaft on one side and windows which opens out to the spa on the other, with the noise of the spa machinery throughout the day. There is therefore nothing restful or luxurious about this stay

The room that we stayed in was noisy you could hear upstairs walking about all night you could hear the noise from the reception desk and the door to the courtyard was left unlocked all night. The ceiling in the bathroom could do repainting the paint was peeling away. Would I stay again? No

Lovely room , and very spacious. Air con so temperature spot on , bit unexpected in such a historic building.staff were very helpful and swimming pool was nice and warm . All finished off by nice meal in the evening and a fabulous breakfast next morning. With all the history of the hotel with stunning grounds it makes the stay extra special .

The check-in and bar staff were excellent. Very helpful. The staff in the brasserie need more training. There were several mistakes during our meal from what we thought was a lack of care and concentration. We let staff know about this on leaving. Overall a good value stay in a fine old building, with the bonus of a spa. Thank you.

This place is very charming and picturesque. The staff were very friendly and the food was tasty and served quick. The SPA is lovely and clean and it was a very relaxed stay. Stephanie (housekeeping) was absolutely amazing and so pleasant and polite when we need extra toiletries that were missing from our room. We bothered her to take a picture for us and she took the most amazing one for us to keep as a lovely memory of our visit!

A lovely stay with friends. Meals were tasty and rooms pleasant (comfortable bed) Only disappointment was the receptionist who we had to ask multiple times for a request (also made in the original booking) who said several times “i’ll try…..” but clearly when asked later had done nothing. Just a sour note for an otherwise decent trip

Grand setting and buildings inside and out. Level of housekeeping not good enough, with long wait doe room to be ready on arrival (aware of the warning on booking but being told that it would be ready in ten minutes and then 40 mins later having to ask !! Similar experience in the Brassierie with a wait for desert service of nearly 50 mins.

Beautiful setting, clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. The spa facilities were wonderful. The staff (particularly Dave the concierge) were friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was outstanding and the dining menu met our expectations. Would highly recommend.

From the arrival it was a great few nights stay. The warm welcome from concierge, check in and all other staff. The room was amazing, old charm with modern amenities. The food was amazing, well priced and the service impeccable. Would stay here again

The very disappointing attitude of just one member of staff totally spoilt the little break and I could not and would not recommend this establishment in case the same thing happened in the future.

Overall the stay was good.However,the service in the Brasserie was very slow,from ordering our meals it took 40 minutes for our starter to arrive,then from finishing the starters another 30 minutes for our mains to arrive.Other diners experienced the same issues,apologies were plentiful from the staff but obvious improvements in this area are needed

Outstanding stay. Wonderful bedroom suite. Restaurant was very cosy and delicious food. Special mention to Dave ( concierge staff member) excellent service and assisted us to swap rooms due to minor issue with original room. Very friendly.Made our stay! Would stay again

Lovely hotel ideal for a romantic night or 2 away in lovely grounds, i was greeted on my arrival by a hooting owl which made it that bit more special plus it was a cold clear night with very little light pollution so made it nice for star gazing.

An amazingly well kept 16th Century (some parts are older) Stately Residence now offering relaxation and top rate hospitality in a beautiful setting. They say Northamptonshire is all Spires and Squires. Rushton Hall Hotel delivers this experience just minutes from the A45 and 20 minutes from the A1. Highly recommended to the overnighter or weekend stay. You won't want to leave, belive me.

The hotel is a beautiful building in an amazing rural setting. The room was spacious and luxurious and the food at breakfast and dinner was superb. The staff were all really friendly and helpful especially Dave the concierge and Shirley the breakfast waitress, who really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome.

Wonderful place.The two gentlemen at the desk were excellent.However the restaurant was a let down.The food was not cooked to a high standard.Indeed it was poor.The service was poor as well.Disappointed.

Great value on my stay over Valentine's weekend. Exceptional dinner in the Brasserie. (Food better than some of the servers). Lovely room dovecote in perfect quiet area of hotel.

Our stay at Rushton Hall was perfect and the room (Hollyhock) was very large as was the bathroom with both a bath and separate shower. The Spa and the team are helpful and friendly. Dinner was slow to arrive but very tasty. Some parts of the public areas could do with more attention to detail for example the Chandler in the dinner hall had damaged parts handing down over breakfast trays containing food. Overall Great location excellent staff and fabulous WiFi. For an establishment of this type and the prices charged. My personal rating would be 8.5 /10.

An amazing stay! Staff, service, location, building, room, pool, all great. If I had a tiny criticism and it is small, it’s that their menu range is very small and the evening restaurant only open for 2 hours. I’d definitely go back. Fabulous.
