This hotel looks like this in the throes of an extensive renovation. The room was immaculate, very clean, and comfortable. The shower had dispensers for body wash and shampoo, and there was a soap dispenser by the bathroom sink. It has a small 4 cup coffee maker and coffee supplies for one day. We were able to get more by going to the desk and requesting it. There was an ice bucket in the room, but we were not able to find an icemaker anywhere there was an ironing board, but no iron. There is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. There is no dresser in the room if you would like to put your clothes away, but there were a few drawers in the bathroom. The biggest downside was there is no signage anywhere that tells you the name of the hotel, not on the street not on the building itself. If I hadn’t seen pictures online of the hotel, I would not have known that this was the place that I was supposed to go. The lady at the front desk seemed very friendly and helpful. There is a convenient store diagonally across the street but other than that no restaurants or food places nearby. There is a restaurant that kind of shares a parking lot, but we never saw it open. About 15 to 20 minutes from the hotel is a busy district of shopping and restaurants, etc. in Horseheads. Overall, I would recommend this place to stay as long as you know ahead of time what it offers

We had a wonderful stay at the Valley Trail Inn. The newly renovated rooms felt almost brand new—spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome; everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout our visit. You really can't beat the location, either. It's super convenient to all the local sights including the famous Watkins Glen State Park, great food, and nearby wineries. An absolute gem and a great value for the price. We will definitely be back!
