Property was better than expected. Great price, updated rooms, comfortable king bed, nice breakfast, really nice common area with pool table, shuffleboard, multiple TV screens, lots of comfortable seating including huge bean bag chairs. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to try the outdoor pool! Gave it a 4 only because I was on the second floor and outside my window was an HVAC unit that made noise, not too loud but was noticeable at night. Stay on the third floor or higher.

Clean room and property. Check in and the front desk staff were good. Parking lot was sketchy at best. Absolutely no lighting in a shared lot with an older shopping center. Lights were present but none were working or on. We arrived about 10pm and did not feel comfortable leaving our vehicle in the lot. Several individuals hanging out in the lot around the cars. I parked in an EV charging spot because it was the only spot adequately lit and close to the hotel door were i felt comfortable leaving my automobile.

The initial great impression was the front desk team member ! She was very friendly and helpful!! The facilities were very clean! Fitness center was small, but still definitely had a nice variety of equipment ! We will stay again! Location was close to the Richmond convention center - about 10-15 mins. Parking was easy and close. No loud noises at night .

The water in the pool was not clean. The pool area should have a privet entrance away from guest that are checking in. There should be adult time to enjoy the pool away from the kids time

We were there for shooting star field hockey tournament. Great location as our home base from the two locations. Room was clean, spacious. Breakfast was spot on and the game room was a hit with the teens.

It was a nice hotel overall. Room was clean, other than a used washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod. Breakfast was much better than most hotels, a nice variety of foods. All of the employees were polite and couteous, location was good. One of the two elevators was not in service, and the air conditioner in our room made a noise as if there was a piece of cardboard caught in the blower unit. All in all, we would stay here again.

I won't go back. Although I didn’t have the worst time. I paid too much for what I got. I was waiting in line for a while for someone to appear at the front desk. A line started to form. I had to wait every time I came down for a front desk associate. The room was spacious and the bed was clean, but the floors and bathroom was dirty. The breakfast was surprisingly good. The location is not walkable to much, but I had short drives to willow lawn and breweries in midtown. The last night I saw a roach in the bathroom. I won't come back and the prices should come for a place that doesn't have enough staff.

An excellent experience. The front desk manager let us check into our room an hour early. The room was clean and was set up well. The beds were very comfortable and allowed us a good night's sleep. All of the staff were very pleasant and courteous. The location of this hotel was close to everything we wanted to visit. We will definitely stay here on future visits.

Staff was nice. Loved the common area with all the games. The rooms carpet was disgusting. Stained all over it and just gross. Two towels that I grabbed had what looked like blood on them. Not stains, like they weren’t washed and still dirty.

This place is a little shabby, I had to change rooms because the first room had an air conditioner that sounded like a Harley. Both rooms were not very clean, a little mold in the bathrooms. Staff were nice, bed was comfortable. Also not in a great neighborhood.

2-day stay. Excellent front desk staff; breakfast staff kept area clean. Bedding was too hard and uncomfortable at times. Difficult to climb into bed for elderly guest. Paris and Anthony were engaging and attentive to every request. Overall outside of property and mats needs facelift.

Everything is fine. But there are some issues I can mention: 1. Noisy room, there is a locked door to the next room. From that room, in the middle of night there was a horrible and disturbing noise. We could not sleep at all. 2. We were almost to lose our breakfast. They serve till 9:30am, it should be a little bit more like 10am

The property was perfectly located for our needs. It had been renovated and was in good condition, with a few areas that needed maintenance (e.g., loose exterior tile, shower seam sealing, and toilet seat tightening). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the rooms were very quiet, especially those facing the mall parking lot. The price point was excellent, and the breakfast was standard (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc.) but hearty. There was plenty of seating in the dining area.

A party was going on in the room next to mine after midnight with loud music. When I went downstairs to say that I couldn’t sleep and would need to check out, the clerk became instantly confrontational and said that I should expect the noise because it was Friday night at a hotel. Quiet hours from 10pm-7am were posted throughout the hotel. The clerk was so confrontational that it was clear I was not welcome. I will never be staying at a holiday inn again.

Night receptionist Anthony was extremely rude over the phone and hung up on me. I called back upset and he hung up again as soon as he realized it was me. Now furious, I go down stairs...sticking to his narrative about my check in process, which he wasn't there for. We both angry at this point and asks what my room number was. Afrer giving it to him, not thinking he proceeded to threaten me by stating trust me, I will take care of your room. I ended up switching hotels. Still waiting for management or corporate to call me back. Worst hotel experience ever.

Arrived at 410 for 3pm check in and the room was not ready. We were told along with other guests that double queen rooms were not ready. Upon being assigned a room, when we exited the elevator, housekeeping was still in our room cleaning. We waited an additional 15 minutes to enter our room. We had an event to be at and needed the room to get ready by 4pm. The staff was rude the entire stay and acted as if they could care less about the guests and their satisfaction!

I found the Holiday Inn Express Richmond-Midtown to be as clean and comfortable as any Hilton and Marriott properties I’ve enjoyed. I would give 5 stars for these areas as well as the friendliness of the two guest services ladies I interacted with upon check-in. On the negative side, the breakfasts left much to be desired—they did not compare to say Hampton Inn hot breakfasts. The first morning, the only hot items were scrambled eggs and pre-made cheese or veggie/egg white omelets and oatmeal. Day 2 offered these items along with pork sausage patties and sausage gravy—or so the labels said. Unfortunately, by 8:30 the gravy was empty, as was the sausage pan, and the eggs were cold. I decided I would just make pancakes, but it was empty as well. The coffee is from a dispenser that makes one cup at a time—a slowwww time—and it’s strong enough to walk. I was surprised by the location of the hotel. It sits amid a commercial area with large office buildings across the street, storage facilities on another side, and flanked by what was once a strip shopping center. The parking lot is large, but it had a car near the hotel with no wheels, propped off the ground by two tires. That did not inspire confidence. It all turned out well, with no problems with my vehicle, but as a woman alone it did not feel very safe.

Everything was fine. The breakfast was until 9 am only. I think it should be until at least 10 am to accommodate tourists. The nice lady that was in charge of the breakfast area brought us muffins and even told us we could take was still left over but we were fine with the coffee and muffins.

Good place. Clean, convenient, easy parking. One of the elevators was out for a while today, but it seems like it was taken care of quickly. We like staying here. Honestly, the free breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The food just is not that good, sorry to say. This is really the only negative thing I can say. We will still book here; hopefully it will get better.

We got in at 4:30 in the afternoon and two women were just sitting in the lounge area and then one got up to wait on us have no uniform and seemed very unprofessional. We got there at 8:45 and half the things had run out the pancake machine was broken, no cinnamon buns no bacon no orange juice we have to ask for that to be refilled as well as another flavor too. Pool location was weird.
