Overall good stay but car park lighting very poorly lit making it feel unsafe and dangerous. We needed to charge electric car and with no signage difficult to find chargepoint in dark.

The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, the facilities on offer were extensive pool, gym etc but didn’t have time to use them on this occasion. Drinks/food can be ordered 24 hours but at times there doesn’t appear to be enough staff available so there can be a wait and I was overcharged for drinks, I realised after checking the prices. The hotel itself would benefit from a refurb, lots of the doors need replacing

What can I say nothing but a disappointment first room Stains all over the widow was broken no safe no fridge Second room looked to be nice but no fan working in the bathroom so every time you showerd it’s steamed up so I could not get ready for like a hour after as it was full of steam and black mold as you can you see No hot water the first two days as there was a gass leak also partial breakfast because no gas no steam or hot tub we went to order fish and chips after 50 minutes the waiter cones and said they were sold out we had no choice but to stay in that room as they were completely sold out of rooms for most of our stay Elevator was broken the first day as well yes I got a credit for the first nights stay we were there for suppose to be 8 nights we finally had enough of the stink of mold and checked out a day early they did credit me that back but do they should as we never stayed there that last night I do not recommend this hotel the only good thing was the house keepers they were very sweet and helpful also for 4 days they ran out of Yogurt only option was soybean yougurt but other then that the buffet was good for breakfast I’m not happy as we usually always stay in holiday inns not any more very disappointed they need to upgrade that hotel it is not a 4 star at all it’s dirty and moldy

The room was spacious and comfortable. We also enjoyed using the swimming pool and gym. Overall, we had a nice stay. We did not have breakfast, so we can't comment on it. In our room, the heating was a big unit blowing warm air. It makes a lot of noise, so we had to switch it off to be able to sleep although it was a cold night. We could also hear the road.

Nice and clean and as expected from Holiday Inn. Loved the sauna and steam room, after a long drive that was much needed. There's also a rapid charger on site which is an absolute God-send as that was one less thing to sort out / look for.

Fantastic staff who go above and beyond. Leisure facilities were wonderful and great to have a pool that the water temperature is so comfortable. Room was clean and beds so.comfortable, was amazed at how much space we had. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with everything you could possibly want. My husband ordered poached eggs and they arrived perfectly cooked. Lovely colouring set and VIK token for the children where they could chose a small present was such a nice touch. Loved the football table and other games in the lobby. Drinks area much appreciated too. This was our first stay but it won't be our last, will definitely be returning. Highly recommend to all

Mould on curtains. Mould on walls ceiling in the bathroom.Room smelt musty. This was second room as the first had lamps out television didn’t work and also telephone was broken.

The bathroom was perfect, the bedroom ceiling was covered with mould/damp. A lot of cobwebs and saw jumping spiders on ceiling that came from the cracks in the ceiling. Very poor condition in the room. Issues are unresolved about the problems with my room. Very unhappy. Was told to contact hotels.com they just shoved a £25 voucher at me without even asking if that was okay and just told me things that they thought I wanted to hear. This is not how you resolve an issue.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, but the experience was disappointing. The room was not clean, and there was a constant dusty smell. The heater wasn’t working properly, and the room was too cold, making it difficult to sleep. When we turned the heater on, it released a muddy smell, which showed it hadn’t been serviced in a while. Overall, the room cleanliness and maintenance need a lot of improvement.

Awful awful room. Curtains hanging off the wall, stained lampshades, cracked sink. Bathroom door was wet at the bottom where the shower had overflown with previous guests. This meant we couldn't shut the door and there was wood splinters all over the floor the whole time. Room smelt mouldy and all our clothes and other items that we took now smell bad. For the money we paid, we are disgusted that we were expected to stay in this room. We did ask to move but no alternatives available.

The meals were fantastic!!! Chris and Kim delivered exceptional service and nothing was too much trouble. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Rooms were not good unfortunately. We were staying in a twin room, the first smelt strongly of damp and was overpowering upon entry, we were then moved to a different room which wasnt as bad, but still had a damp smell which ive noticed on clothing when returning home and opening the suitcase.

We've had multiple says at this hotel now, as it's a perfect location for trips down to Rotherham. Disappointed at the foisty / mouldy / damp smell in the room (room 15) when we entered it. Not sure if we had just become accustomed to it the following morning. Pool facility is great (another reason to chose this hotel over others), breakfast the following morning has lots of variety & warm / cold foods. The (I assume) wedding party got a little rowdy later on and there was lots of banging doors etc, disturbed sleep a little bit, but not enough to make us change hotels in future.

Staff are amazing as is the food and service. The stay was ruined by our room which was old and tired. The air conditioning unit would rattle and hum during the night (it was switched off) and the road noise is very loud. We reported the issues on the first night and they said they would look at the air conditioning unit but it was not fixed. We were due t stay 3 nights but left after 2.

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff and good amenities. If I am being picky the rooms are quite tired. The communal areas are smart and clean, but the rooms are needing of an update, not least because I would imagine that the design of the fittings and furniture makes them quite difficult to clean properly.

AC was faulty and was actually heating the room, It was not until the early hours of the morning did I realise this. This left the room warm and as the windows only opens 2 inches took a while for the room to eventually cool down!

Lovely hotel. Felt luxury for a good price point. I only stayed two nights and didn’t use the pool so don’t have an opinion about that. I did have room service though. Very reasonable and fast. Bed was huge and comfy. I was near the swimming pool though so could hear it from my window. Plus the aircon was quite noisy but not unbearable! Parking was plentiful and good location for Rotherham and Sheffield.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and previously always had a room allocated at the rear of the hotel. However, on this occasion we were given a room at the front of the hotel. Whilst we expected some noise from the busy road I felt there was an excessive amount of traffic noise which would be reduced if the room had better windows. Unfortunately our sleep was severely disrupted by the traffic noise.

Clean and reasonably priced, and room had air conditioning. Friendly reception staff. But there were no power sockets by the bed for charging devices overnight, the bathroom door was very badly warped on the inside, and there was no room safe for storage of valuables.

Hotel & pool overall were good. The room was big enough, but there's only 1 chair to share, there's no safe in the room, or drawers. The big downside at the hotel, was no working WiFi or internet or usb ports & the hotel must be in a blackspot, as it was impossible for either of us to make any phone calls.

Ben Kim and the receptionist and breakfast manager were lovely. Very helpful and informative, they all took the time to talk to us. Big thankyou to Ben, who couldn't do enought for me, as I'm disabled, he was offering to bring all my food and drink to the table, so attentive and kind, even though I made him spill his coffee. For such a young man, showed so much care, he will go far in this industry, please make sure he gets recognised for his kindness.

Fantastic staff service from the moment we arrived which was consistent amongst every member of staff in the building. Great as a family of 5 to have a room that we can all stay in together. Favourite part for us was the gluten free options at breakfast and dinner for our coeliac daughter. Made her feel completely included in everything we did.

The hotel itself & our room were good. The bed was very comfy & the parking was great. But we had a few frustrations that tainted our experience. We arrived slightly before check in & were told that a member of staff would let us know once our room was ready. After nearly an hour, we approached the desk to see how much longer this would take & it appeared that our room had been ready for some time but no one had told us. This wait made us late for our evening plans. The next morning we were woken about 7am by people talking in the corridor & lots of doors opening / closing. Then at 7.50am there was a fire alarm test which we weren’t forewarned about. This meant we didn’t know if it was a drill or if we needed to evacuate. We were wide awake after this & ended up checking out earlier than planned as a result. We were only in the hotel to sleep but left feeling quite disappointed by our stay.

Lovely welcome from the staff on reception, really helpful. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was nice and quiet. Beds firm and comfortable, spacious room, lots of hanging space. Shower was great, good pressure. We were there for a skating competition, so only slept in the hotel. Plenty of parking and within easy reach of M1.

Had a great weekend break with family. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Used the steam room and jacuzzi to relax after a long drive. Great choice of breakfast including gluten-free options. Not walking distance to shops but only a short drive away. Definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

Lovely staff, all were extremely helpful. Clean and comfortable room, I had a great night’s sleep. Good sized swimming pool. Nice food. I really enjoyed my stay. Note: don’t use the S60 4NA postcode, it put me on the wrong section of a very long and busy road. Use the hotel name, or the postcode for the Halfords store opposite, S60 2XL.

The staff were excellent, very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was as you would expect with a good choice of food. The room, although dark due to a tree outside the window, was roomy, clean and comfortable HOWEVER, it faced onto the road and the double glazing was useless, it was just like sleeping on the hard shoulder of the motorway. I will NOT be staying at this hotel again until the windows are replaced with something significantly more suitable for the hotels road position.

Staff were brilliant, responding quickly to a couple of queries and in a positive, friendly way. Breakfast was varied and a very decent quality. Pool/jacuzzi/sauna all good. The big negative was the noise from the main road, which was nearly as bad as if the windows were open. Wouldn't rule out returning but perhaps request a room facing the rear of the property.

On checking in we wete asked if we wanted breakfast, apparently it’s more expensive if you decide in the morning. The price for two drinks a pint and half was over £10 pounds so we only had one drink . The manu was very limited and very expensive so we didn’t eat even though we had been travelling all day .

Nice room for our 1 night stay, we ate in the restaurant at night and the food was high quality. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of hot and cold foods and also cook to order .i would recommend this hotel to stay in There is also free parking on site and 24 hour snack bar /food

We stay in this hotel 5 nights + each year but this year it went downhill substantialy, the bedding wasn't changed at all in our entire stay and there was a drink spilled on it the first night but the housekeeping didn't seem to care. No coffee machine for 3 of the mornings which is disgraceful. Leisure facilities collection of also do with a good clean. Condiments weren't replaced and the overall niceness of the place has gone. A good vet could of have got the sausages snorting again!
