Good from start to finish -fast but detailed check-in (best for me), good albeit short evening menu (good quality), good value beverages and fairly good breakfast. Night manager came and found me to advise I had left car window open slightly - great service indeed.

lobby and bar area were very clean and modern. Room area is loud I could here the person in the other room having a normal conversation. Sewer gas smell in the bathroom. mentioned it to the front desk and they told me that was normal for first floor rooms.

Recently updated Holiday Inn Express. Can’t argue for the price paid and this includes a breakfast. Only issue was the bathroom in room was not completely clean and there was a smell round the toilet area. Staff were all friendly and helpful, good car parking and handy to nip off the M6 for a stop.

the rooms carpet was sticky. The air con was noisy and the door closer was slow and made an awful noise if you tried to close the door.

On the hotest days of the year you would think that their air con would work. The ac in the room wouldnt go below 19c!!! Zto say it was stiffling in the room was an understatement. Even in the breakfast area they had mobile fan units on to try and cool it down - that didnt work either. !:-(

Staff on reception were very good, helpful and friendly. Room was excellent. Hotel was very quiet. Had a great nights sleep. Car parking spacious. Hotel was easy to locate straight off junction 10. Breakfast was also very nice. 😊 (This is especially pleasing as in times past the breakfast was the one thing which I thought was very poor.) Thank you.

Convenient location. We chose this hotel during a road trip specifically for the air conditioning and free breakfast. But once in the room, the air conditioning was not working and the bed was rock hard, so uncomfortable. They offered to change the room but it was too late at night for us so we settled for a fan that broke down. Couldn’t sleep at all so we ended up leaving around 4am and had to miss the breakfast… very disappointing stay!

Nice hotel, pleasant room, decent size with comfortable bed. Heating was very noisy though and had to turn off as couldn't sleep with it on. Was warm enough in bed but a little cold when getting out of bed or in bathroom. Food selection was good and breakfast was OK. Staff were great and very helpful

The room was fine, exactly what we expected and had everything we needed. Weirdly soundproof from the outside as the motorway was next to us, but not as soundproof from the inside as you could hear the kids in the room above us running around constantly - something to think about if you’re a light sleeper. Location was perfect, right on the motorway junction, made everything accessible and there was another hotel close by with a great bar for sports. Breakfast was “included” but it’s probably one of the worst breakfast experiences I’ve had at any hotel. Firstly there was literally not 1 seat available when we turned up, then when we eventually got seated, the food felt like it had been out all morning. Bland and rubbery. Realistically they need some sort of timetable, where people book a time for breakfast using their room numbers. You can’t have a breakfast area that is a free for all and doesn’t cater for the size of the hotel. This would also make it easier to plan the amount of food needed at certain times so the quality can be a little better.

I had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very very comfy. The rooms were very clean and stocked up every day. The staff are very friendly and polite. I will be recommending this hotel to others and will definitely return in the future.

An excellent stay so much better than the neighbouring Village Hotel. Staff were superb - very friendly and nothing was a problem. Room was spot on and I slept like a baby. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Highly recommended

I am a frequent guest of HI Express around the country and can honestly say this was the best of them. Welcoming and warm staff, great room, superb breakfast. It felt like they went the extra mile to make my stay very pleasant.

So checked in was all ok but struggling to sleep with the M6 next to me then at 02:20 a staff member tried to get into my room several times which woke me up as i had the chain on door so that was scary to be woken up to see a policemen standing there with staff then to tell me they got the wrong room. I want refund as cannot get back to sleep and im up at 7am to drive. This is not acceptable! The food, diner menu was very limited so i ended going to the THE VILLAGE Hotel over the road to get a decent meal. Worst experience I've had. Will be speaking to management in morning.

For the price could not fault anything! One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in! Staff helpful and friendly. Had an issue with dinner but quickly resolved and given a complementary drink! Although we didn’t need to it was a lovely touch with the sign in the bathroom for complementary toiletries if you’d forgotten them. Towels soooo soft and choice of pillows for the bed.

Clean room - better standard than the expected for an Express. Preference for room was met by reception, so was very pleased. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of options. Coffee machine was good with cold juice from machine, great too. Staff friendly and would definitely stay again

The hotel is lovely and clean, breakfast was included which was buffet style,good choice in food,staff were lovely and helpful the only downside was its very hard to get into the surrounding area ie villa park for concert because of all the traffic said that ghe hotel was only 20mins away but took an hour to get there .

Comfy and clean room. Great shower! Breakfast was ok, but the bacon was quite hard, sausages were tasteless and no scrambled egg. The breakfast staff were very busy and friendly but could have had 1 or 2 more staff assisting. Nevertheless, it was a nice stay!

Stay was fine, staff friendly. breakfast items were over cooked, sausages crunchy on the outside, mushy and tasteless in the middle, bacon dry as old shoe leather, beans and scrambled eggs in a warming try that was far to hot, beans were drying out and egg was so dry it looked like bread crumbs.
