Pool water needed attention

We arrived to find their key card machine was out of order, so every time you wanted to access your room an employee needed to escort you to the door and open it with a master key, which made access slow and cumbersome. Lobby wall phone had signs on it “out of order”, WiFi went out. While the staff was very nice, key card updates weren’t performed during our two night stay. An oversight on managements part. No notification of their problems were conveyed to us prior to arrival.

We were not able to use the pool. The kids had looked forward to it for the last 12 hours in the car. SOOO disappointing!

The property was well-lit in the parking lot and easy to get it.

Quiet and easy to park

We showed up a little early and they were able to get us into a room so I didn’t have to take my kids to a meeting. The rooms were very spacious and the facilities were clean. The kids loved the pool. It was a great place to stay. The location was great. We were close to everything we wanted to do.

Lots of thunderstorms while we were there. Nice property and great staff, but the building and its equipment apparently needs better grounding because their keycard maker (access to your room) was inop due to storm damage and their cable TV would stop working for a while each time a storm passed by.

We always stay here when we come to Lubbock. I was a little disappointed with things this time. Staff was superb, but the pool was disgusting. The water was green and there were things floating in it. Also, our thermostat in the room was smashed and had not been replaced.

One of two elevators out of service. Ice machine out on 2nd floor. Otherwise, good over night and go hotel .

Carpet was old, bathroom had a ceiling leak with mold and peeling paint and wallpaper. Some congealed spider webs hanging from the smoke alarm. AC function was marginal. Beds were comfortable and bedding was good. They had these nice grab bags for people leaving before breakfast but the fruit had rotted and should have been thrown away rather than put out in bags for to gos. Nice folks working there but place needs maintenance.

Room was very dated , ceiling had paint coming off. The shower had tons hair , towels and pillows had stains on them.

Front desk staff was excellent. Breakfast was acceptable, but not good. Cleanliness was not what i expect.

This was our return stay from a road trip. I requested a cleaner room this time and the room was better than our previous stay. The hotel overall could use a good cleaning.

The staff at this hotel were truly exceptional—kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t reflect the same level of care. It was noticeably dirty and in need of serious maintenance. There was chipped paint, rusted door hinges, and an overall outdated feel that just didn’t match the price point. For what I paid, I expected a much cleaner and better-maintained space. The friendliness of the staff made the experience more bearable, but the hotel itself really needs an upgrade to meet expectations.

Very nice clean room

The rooms were not very clean. Our first room had hair all over the bathroom floor and food on the floor. We moved rooms and that room also had hair on the floor and the bathroom door and walls needed a good wipe down. The breakfast was good though and the staff was pleasant.

There was urine around the toilet in the bathroom that had not been cleaned since the prior guest floors were dirty throughout the hotel shower door Would not stay closed and overall the entire hotel just needed to be cleaned

Large room; nice layout; clean;

The privacy/ room darkening shade was broken in the open position. The ice machine was noisy from in my bathroom.

Large, spacious rooms and beds are fairly comfortable so it was good enough to crash for the night. The room was clean except for a couple hairs in the shower. The pillows were terrible. The linens are scratchy and feel starched. All the pillows are also down or down alternative so squished flat when you put your head on them. Breakfast was disgusting which was truly surprising and disappointing. The eggs were rubbery and an odd consistency, the gravy was cold and runny and the biscuits were stale. They were out of sausage when we came down as well as every type of juice. Even the coffee was terrible. Usually I can power through sub-par food, knowing it’s complimentary, but I took one bite and had to throw it away and get breakfast elsewhere. Stick with the waffles or pre-packaged cereal and you’ll probably be fine.

Check in very easy, room could use some upgrades as carpet was frayed but other than that was fine. Room was big and plenty of room.

We stayed in a limited mobility room for the first time ever. The room very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Waffle maker was unavailable during our stay. My wife and I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

Clean and safe. Breakfast ok and staff very nice. Complaint was that we could hear upstairs guest walking late at night and early in the am!

There was some sort of maintenance problem creating an uncomfortable smell in the hall upstairs and we had no real window being in the center second floor. Otherwise everything was great, Very large room, easy parking, quiet and comfortable, close to restaurants and shopping

The room was large and and clean and comfortable. The vanity in the bathroom could be larger for all my “stuff”.

It seems to be a newer facility. It’s a little harder to get to but it’s quiet and comfortable. They were having internet issues but handled it professionally.

Misty is just awesome at check in! She is very polite and always has a smile on her face!

I want to thank Misty for her help. I officially will be using Hilton properties. I always have a great experience. I will no longer be using Marriott.

Everything was very pleasant except the front desk attendant named Omar. I had two reservations and he told me that I could stay in the same room for both but then today he told me that we had to move rooms bc he rented it to someone else.

Front desk did not tell me you have to request maid service. We went to meetings and when we returned the room had not been cleaned. When an inquiry was made the front desk person was rude, accusive, and uncooperative.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful.

We came for a tournament and our team stayed here. The hotel was very accommodating to our needs. Allowed us to gather and have a pizza party in the lobby. The front desk was very friendly. Housekeeping was there for all of our needs and greeted us with a smile. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. I will be staying here everytime I come to Lubbock.

We stayed on this Hotel on a previous time, and it was a great stay. The guy from the kitchen staff was walking around giving people attitude for showing before closing kitchen. We asked for extra towels and was told check you bathroom. We told him we needed extra, he simply turn around and walked away. As we walked away he came back from some other door with three towels. We had other concerns, however its pointless to point them out. Nothing will get addressed.

Lots of parking and was quiet

We found it difficult to find. It is behind another hotel and not easily located. Needs more emphasis that it is just past Lowe’s

Really nice hotel and close to a lot of places in Lubbock. Staff was very friendly, rooms were nice and clean. Also had a good breakfast variety.

Nothing additional to add. There are things around the hotel within a few miles, but nothing really within walking distance.

This is a great place to stay and very safe. It has restaurants near and shopping only 5 minutes away.

The property is set back from the highway so it’s quiet. It’s an easy drive to get back to the main roads. The young man at the desk was very nice and completed our check in with ease. We always stay here when we’re in Lubbock. The rooms are clean and it’s always been a great stay.

Hotel is in great shape and staff was super friendly checking me in and out. Breakfast buffet had many options, and was kept warm :)

Comfortable and quiet -- food not so tasty

Let’s try what I didn’t like. Lukewarm coffee and a not so good breakfast was very disappointing. Everything else was very good.

We have stayed here a few times and are always impressed with the service, cleanliness, and breakfast. I highly recommend staying here when in Lubbock!

This Hampton was a big disappointment: The room had a sofa bed with no sheets and none in the room, nor were any ever brought to the room. The pool was unavailable for long periods of time. It was being cleaned “all day”. When I asked why they couldn’t clean it when it was closed instead of when it was supposed to be open..the staff didn’t know. I asked that the room be cleaned and the desk clerk, who I had never seen before, said ok and walked away. I then told him what room I was in as he walked away. I asked that it be cleaned every day we were there but it was not, it was cleaned one day. The two small trash cans were overflowing Even though we left the sofa bed out…the staff still didn’t put sheets on the bed. Oh and did I mention the breakfast…the breakfast area was dirty. The waffle area was the worst and it was out of batter for every breakfast. The food was depleted and when I asked to have it replenished it was a very slow process. There was not any food in the hot food area. When it was brought out, it was immediately depleted as it was only a couple of servings…then a very slow replenishing, again. There was no milk for the cereal, when asked for more—it was not refilled but only a small amount was added. Oh, did I mention the breakfast area was a mess—unclean and sparsely supplied. I have never had these problems at a Hampton before. But this was not only sub par for a Hampton, it was sub par for any hotel.

Check in was fast! Friendly Staff at the front desk and Breakfast Area. We even received extra towels and toiletries in a basket by our door. The Breakfast was outstanding! It had a huge variety. The beds were comfortable and all outlets worked. Downside the restroom ceiling was peeling, the desk chair was stained, and on the last night we found a styrofoam bowl with rice behind the bed. We didn’t say anything since it was our last night. We would definitely stay here again, but will check everywhere before staying in another room. I chose this hotel because of the 9.0 rating. I would give it 8.5 because it needs a refresh and extra diligence in cleaning.
