We always have a fantastic stay at this hotel. I enjoy the rooms, the front desk was unbelievably courteous throughout our stay...To me this is as close to a 5 star hotel as you can get in the area. The only issue with the stay this time was the valet parking was very slow.... We also got to use the pool and fitness center this time which was great!

The dance competition I was attending was held at the Performing Arts Center. Therefore we didn’t have to drive anywhere not unless it was by choice. As for the rooms, I do wish each hotel room had microwaves so you didn’t have to walk to the ice machine room just to use a microwave.

This sits in a beautiful part of the downtown! We arrived to live music and lit up trees. The hotel was huge!!! And all lit up also! Beautiful fountain in front. So nice inside! It has a rooftop pool and a hot tub that is very unique that shows a view of the downtown. Very upscale. Rooms aren’t huge but the desk worker upgraded us to a gorgeous river view at the highest level just for asking! Walking distance to river walk. Enjoyed our one night stay in unique Montgomery. *only downside- you have to pay for parking

The hotel did not have our prepaid reservation. It was incredibly frustrating and to 30 min. Then we were given a room that had not bern cleaned. Once they changed the room there we're still items from last guest in the room. ( safety pin , hanger, hair in shower. The pool was not as pictured and was dirty and in disrepair. No towels and zero concern from staff to get towels Area was incredibly loud .. The only positive was rook service . It was fast the server was friendly. This is not what Ive come to expect from this brand.

The parking was very confusing. We made the block twice because we couldn't find it. It was about 9pm and dark around the hotel entrance, no signs visible... cars parked everywhere. We parked, but then was presented with a valet ticket. Crazy.

The Renaissance Montgomery was perfect! My Mom and I came to town for a show at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center the hotel was still decorated for the holidays and was beautiful. And to my surprise the MPAC was actually a part of the hotel so we did not have to go outside in the cold to go to the show. The room had a gorgeous view of the river, beds were ultra comfy and bathroom was huge. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. We had the best time and are planning our next visit!

When we checked in, we were told the pool was closed and breakfast starts at 6am. At 615am I took my handicapped Mother to breakfast and was told 630 is the start time and we had to move. This is after she sat down. We understood and left. All the paperwork, menus, and staff say it starts at 6 am, however in reality it is 630AM. Not the end of the world, but quite the task to move a handicapped person. The tub in our room was so dirty, it had hairs and nasty water line. Lastly, they did not offer or give the complimentary upgrade, for Silver Select with HOTELS.COM.

The meeting was held in the hotel which was convenient. The AC did not work in the first room I had. The repairman did come in a timely manner but the repair couldn't be made quickly and we were move into a second room that had a faint musty smell.

I had an outstanding overnight stay at this hotel right in downtown Montgomery. I have a block away from the historic Union Station attached to the convention center. The room was large, modern, super clean, and the shower and other amenities were excellent. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Absolutely I recommend this hotel!

Took forever to check in, my non-smoking room smelt like chimney, found a coke can on the sofa, got charged twice for the same room (After spending ton of effort and time, finally their Manager fixed the issue). Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Excellent location; however, the facility itself (largely the guest rooms) were not clean. For example, the issue was definitely not a one off situation as it was clearly evident the dirt and grime was built up on the grout over an extended period of time. The tiled areas within the restroom which were not subject to consistent foot traffic (under the sink vanity), the grout was white while the rest of the grouted areas were completely black. The fabric type headboard had a whole dead center, obvious and evident to any hotel personal cleaning the room. As a long time Marriott customer and considering the nightly rate ($300/night), I was sincerely disappointed in the experience.

I didn’t like that valet parking is in the same spot I dropped my car off. I literally gave them the keys to leave it right there. You have to go to the main lobby to use a microwave when it should be one in my room. My refrigerator wasn’t on. I had to pull it out and power it on myself. I waited 4 hours for it to get cool. Wood chipping were falling from the cabinet which was no big deal. Room just needs a little updating for the price. I did like the convenience of the Performing Arts Center.

I was very VERY disappointed the minute I got to the front desk over an hour after check in time only to hear "my room isn\'t ready". Was told it would be about 15 minutes. They took my cell phone number and said they would notify me. Over an hour and a half later, after watching numerous people check in and go directly to their rooms, I again checked at the desk. Still not ready....but they offered me a room 5 floors higher when I had reserved 2 rooms on same floor. (2 room was for son, his wife and 2 young daughters). Eventually I got the room we were suppose to have near our granddaughters, but nearly 2 hours after it should have been ready. Very disappointing way to start a stay.

The staff was SUPER NICE!!! Everyone on staff from front desk to valet they assured you had no questions or concerns. You can really tell management is doing quality control because everyone was showing consistent efforts. The hotel was very clean and spotless.

We were on a 15 hour road trip to move our daughter to college. Chose this hotel because it had a parking garage available to park small uhaul trailer in for safety purposes. We planned weeks ahead of time, only to show up and be told they were overbooked and they gave our room away. I booked for 2 queens for 3 people. They put us in a king room leaving my 18 yr. old daughter sleeping on an extremely uncomfortable rollaway. They discounted the room and gave us free breakfast vouchers only when I voiced that I wouldn't be paying full price for their mistake, but still... unless I cancel, don't give my room away. 2 thumbs down!! Oh ya, and our view was of the parking garage.

Was not a horrible stay however the front desk gave my wife a very hard time when she was checking in said that we needed a confirmation number and our itenarary number was not good enough which is funny because that is all we were given. They also gave us a single king room when our reservation clearly said 2 queens. They did fix it but only after she had to prove what we booked. So after getting checked in and the right room finally was not a bad stay . They did give us a handicap room which we didnt need and those doors are very hard to close and no tub. But everything else was fine

The front of house really seems to try to provide guests with good service but the back of house, mainly my experience with obtaining food on the property was very disappointing. I have stayed here for 3 nights , so far, and have been successful in getting food from the in room dining option one time. I don’t care how great everything else is if I am consistently hangry! We enjoyed the House Restaurant. We only had the breakfast bar there and deserts on one evening. The White Chocolate Bread Pudding & the decadent Chocolate Cake both served with fresh fruit and whipped cream were awesome. The hotel was lovely and quiet our room was clean and spacious with a lake view. Staff was friendly and attentive.
