What a great property, it's large yard with plenty of shade trees gives it a park like setting that is perfect to just relax in. It's only a block from main street and all the restaurants and wine tasting. House was clean and had everything we needed. Owners were very responsive and made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I've already booked another week towards the end of summer, can't wait!!

Happy Hollow was great. Easy walk to downtown and the outdoor space/front yard was a lot of fun. Plenty of room for Corn Hole, remote control cars, frisbee, etc. Interior was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to all.

The house and the yard were terrific. The yard is lovely and fenced in so our dog could run and play safely. The house is comfortable and everything worked perfectly: the heat, the wifi, the washer/dryer, etc. So nice to be able to walk to town, which is only a block away. Totally enjoyed our stay--in fact, we stayed an extra night.

My niece from Avery had a wedding shower in Murphy’s and we booked this amazing house for the weekend. It was a beautiful house and yard and everything was amazing! There were fresh flowers, Easter decorations and we felt right at home. They had everything for our dogs as well. It was perfect!

This was our 4th stay at Happy Hollow and it never disappoints, we absolutely love this place. Clean well supplied home, large fully fenced yard and just a block away from town. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating. Already planning another trip later this summer.

The property was very clean and cozy. Check in process was extremely simple as the door was open when we arrived. The outdoor space was wonderful, plenty for kids to do; swings and games. The pictures are deceptive as the house is quite large. There there 2 living areas and 4 sleeping areas. The house is an easy walk to the downtown which is charming. Highly recommend. We loved this house! The location is perfect - a quick walk to downtown Murphy's which has wonderful shops, wine tasting, bars and restaurants. We stay in VRBOs often, and I think this house was the best stocked kitchen I've seen! We were there over the holidays and it was even decorated with fresh flowers and holiday decorations. This is a very comfortable house with lots of room for our group to move around. The house was set with nice furniture that had some character, it felt like we were in someone's home and not a hotel, which is what we wanted. Plus it was right in town and a very short walk to Main Street. The yard and porch were a plus along with snacks and fresh flowers. Two improvements might be fresher coffee and a way to control the light outside our window (or have curtains that can block out the light). All in all, we hope to return to Happy Hollow!

Communications with the property manager was easy and efficient. The checkout process was reasonable. Would stay here again.

Great location! Perfect house for a girls trip. Note, the bedroom with a queen and twin is semi private. You have to walk through that room to get to the another bedroom and bathroom. Worked fine for our stay. Kitchen and bathrooms had all necessary amenities. Wished we'd stayed longer to enjoy the huge front yard.

This was such a fun location to ring in the new year! Little did we know that we were going to be hit by the storm of the century. The front yard filled up like a lake! The kitchen was well stocked, so we enjoyed cooking and baking during the storm. The one TV made for some interesting programming strategies but we were happy to have cable. Because we were traveling with my elderly mother, might we suggest grab bars in the shower? Walking distance to town was perfect. We would love to stay here during the summer. Perfect yard for games and barbecues. Thank you Janet for opening your home.

This was our 3rd stay at this property and we absolutely love it. The kitchen is well stocked if you plan to cook, we did the restaurant thing all week this time. Great pizza place, amazing sushi and even a Mexican food truck all within a short walk. owners are super cool to deal with and a very responsive. Already planing another visit for 2025.

It's only a block from main street and all the restaurants and wine tasting. House was clean and had everything we needed. Owners were very responsive and made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I've already booked another week towards the end of summer, can't wait!!

The house is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment, games and musical instruments. It’s a very short walk from the center of town. We were all happy with the space. Communications with the property manager was easy and efficient. The checkout process was reasonable. Would stay here again.

Happy Hollow was great. Easy walk to downtown and the outdoor space/front yard was a lot of fun. Plenty of room for Corn Hole, remote control cars, frisbee, etc. Interior was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to all.

We brought up a group of friends to celebrate a good friend’s 60th birthday. The properties central locale and short distance to town served us all extremely well. We were able to walk to town & enjoy the weekend!

The house (home) provided the perfect getaway for the four of us, a sister vacation. We loved that downtown was just a short walk away and both Calaveras Big Trees and Lake Alpine just down the Highway. The host’s attention to detail was a huge plus. From a very well stocked kitchen to a plethora of indoor and outdoor games to chocolates waiting beside our beds, all of the small details that make for a comfortable stay were masterfully crafted. It was a wonderfully memorable holiday made so by an exceptional place to stay! Thanks to Janet for sharing her home with us!!

this place was amazing! It’s clean it’s functional, there was fresh flowers on the table. When we arrived, the yard is groomed and beautiful! This is definitely a place that I will come back to again provided they will have me! Very happy that we had a chance to stay in this home.
