Okay the room was on the smaller side. But having said that it was nice and I’d stay there again. The food and drink in the bar was good, and served like we were in BA First Class. A serious touch of elegance.

Lovely hotel in the beautiful village of Alderley Edge. Easy to find, plently of parking and the staff were all very friendly and genuine. The room itself was well presented, very clean and comfortable. Useful amenities with plenty of tea bags, coffee milk etc with lovely biscuits. The restaurant was fantastic, good lighting comfy seats great atmosphere eith attentive and friendly staff. The food was very good, and the fish was the size of a shark! The chunky triple cooked chips are highly recommended 👌 All in all a great stay was had, thank you, we will be back.

When we originally got there, we were given a ground floor room that was dark and dingy and freezing. There were also someone’s dirty socks left in the shelf. There was also a wedding going on and the room we were given was right next to it so was very loud. I spoke to the reception and they were nice enough and moved us to the top floor this room was also small and the beds didn’t even feel like full size double. My husband got a shower and the shower fell off the wall while he was in it. There were also dirty marks on the toilet. Although the music was quieter from here, you could still hear it way past midnight.

Asked to change room as the one I had was directly over entrance to the Banqueting Suite and there was noise from people smoking and chatting outside. The lady on reception was very helpful and gave me a choice of 2 other rooms to move to.

Room felt outdated and carpet could have done with a clean. There was building work going on in other rooms during the stay so I expect that all rooms were going to be updated and refurbished eventually. Didn’t feel that room rate reflected the standard. On a positive note the restaurant was excellent.

We liked breakfast and bedroom. The. waste bin in the bedroom had previous ladies underwear in it!! The toilet was blocked on the morning when we were leaving, broken tiles in the bathroom and plug hole had so much debri in in when the plug was removed after a bath the debri came to the surface of the bath water.There was no heating , after reporting the lack of heat a male came to check, he said “ if no heat in 30 mins report it again. The heat came on 20 minutes later, for approx 2 hours, not at all in the morning, it was very very cold. All in all a disappointing over night stay. Room 49 needs a lot of TLC .

Room was quite cold but old windows can be draughty. Food was ok in restaurant but nothing special. Bath taps had lots of black stuff in one and the wall was peeking in the bathroom. There was also a long black hair in my bed. I didn’t complain as all minor things, could be a better stay with more attention to detail.

This is a lovely hotel that is clean, the food and service is good, but the WiFi on the first floor (Room 22) was terrible which is a shame as I had to work in the evenings and use my phone as a hotspot as my mobile 4G was faster and more stable than the WiFi signal in my room. The reception did ask their IT team to reset the network, but it made no difference.

I have stayed a the hotel a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. It is a lovely hotel, the bar area is very nice and rooms are nicely presented. My only criticism this time is we were in quite a noisy room, ( 11 ) with creaking floorboards, running water, toilets flushing in surrounding rooms. As a consequence my daughter and I didn’t have the best nights sleep. I mentioned to the lady on reception when checking out but she completely ignored my comment. If I stay again which I likely will I don’t want room 11!

Our choice of the hotel was determined by location for a family wedding. Not disappointed; we enjoyed the food offerings, both dinner and breakfast. Our selection was a basic room, and I would comment that this was quite snug.

Came for a local birthday party at a different venue and the staff on reception and on the bar couldn’t have been nicer - even tolerated us for drinks at the bar after our night out. Could not fault the room, hotel or staff at all. We left items in a cab on the way back to the hotel and they even helped us track them down. Will certainly be staying here again ❤️

I have stayed a the hotel a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. It is a lovely hotel, the bar area is very nice and rooms are nicely presented. Great hotel, we've always wanted to stay here but never got the chance as we live up north now. We ate at the hotel in the evening and the food is of a high standard with a good wine list. The staff are always happy to see you.
