Decor was cool and unique. Staff was great. Room was clean. The gym was closed entirely all day Saturday and Sunday so working out was not possible. Also the option to stream to the TV in room from your device did not work at all over four days and the front desk wasn’t able to help. Not dealbreakers but things to note. Location was good. The pool is nice although did not seem to be heated. Overall, I would return.

This is a fun hotel. Def had a party vibe. Check in cointer is literally the bar. The "lobby" is a massive lounge with couches and games. There is a pool table and a KISS and a WWF pinball machine. Both free to play. The pool area was sweet too. The staff are super friendly and really accomodate the guest experience. CVS right next door. Free parking. It's not the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were nice. Bed was comfy. I'll probably stay here again

The staff was great. I was looking forward to relaxing in the pool and eating on site so that I didn’t have to leave or door dash. After checking in told the kitchen was out of order. So ok I would have to leave to eat. Got our swimsuits headed to pool. OMG so dirty you can’t see the bottom! Murky , silt. I ask front desk have you seen the pool ? They have no idea and I’m then told our vaccum is broken! But we put chemicals in there so it’s ok to swim! Um no! I was told I could try and use another hotels pool. I wish I had not booked there . I was really looking forward to a day of relaxing.

Everything was ok - but that’s all. It was rough around the edges and was clearly a property takeover that wasn’t done to the standard I would expect from Moxy - the bikes were also out of service and the gym was a bit of a mess with broken machines, a leak and no towels. The staff were nice and friendly but the building maintenance let it down big time and there wasn’t a huge amount in the area if you wanted to quickly pop and get dinner outside.

I like the overall vibe and everything is super clean. Main issue was the elevator by the main entrance is very shaky. Housekeeping tried to get into the room before check out time even though we had the window set to Do Not Disturb. Someone was trying to get into our room at around 3 a.m. a couple tries and woke us up. There’s no shelving in the shower for toiletries. Trash can in the restroom looked like someone threw up in it and it was tossed out, but not cleaned. I loved the AC! Very efficient.

Run down hotel nothing working nothing fixed in the days we were there from Tuesday to Friday morning . The flashing lights from the emergency lights were flashing the entire time of the stay, some rooms were flashing like a strobe light so if anybody had epilepsy that would’ve not worked out well. With zero warning or any signs of them trying to fix anything. The carpets walking down the hall to get to your rooms look like they have never been vacuumed the entire time the place has been open. it smelled like mold and wet walls and dirty water. Coming out of the elevator the morning we were leaving to fly home. There was vomit in the elevator that was not cleaned up and then coming out of the elevator on the first floor. There was vomit everywhere in the hall on the carpet we told them and they seemed shocked, which is alarming for the fact that how many hours has that vomit been sitting there. Every time we walked into the lobby every single employee was sitting at the bar in the chairs doing absolutely nothing. No dusting no cleaning. The pool is filthy. It didn’t look like it had been cleaned with pieces of palm tree leaves floating in the bottom of it. The only time we saw any kind of cleaning was room service and that was questionable. All in all I strongly recommend you not staying at this hotel and the department of whoever is in charge of making sure things are up-to-date really needs to look into this place because I guarantee they would be shut down immediately.

Watch out for dead cockroaches in the hallway! Not the hotel’s fault, but the neighbors across the hall screamed at each other for at least thirty minutes around midnight our first night there. Not a good experience overall.

Unexpected stay overnight was needed. So thankful it was only one. I never put reviews in, so it took a lot for me to say something bad here. When I went into my first room, it had what looked like dried puke in the sink. If that wasn’t bad enough, a giant cockroach crawled out of the opening of the elevator into the elevator when I went down to request a new room. The second room was okay, but the AC controls didn’t work at all. The road noise was extremely loud while trying to sleep as well. Definitely will not ever come back, and would not recommend.

The staff was super friendly and there are fun things to do for kids such as foosball table, pool table, pinball machines, and a fun pool. Our initial room smelled like mildew and we had to change rooms. They were very accommodating. It’s a fun hotel, but it feels a little rundown. There was black stuff (hopefully not mold)in the corners of the shower and all the hanging lights in the bathroom and room were super dusty. We didn’t have hand soap or towels and when I called the front desk to have them send them up they never did. I had to ask the cleaning lady as we passed to please leave towels in our room. Overall, a good stay for the purpose, but the hotel itself could use some work. The staff totally made the stay!

The vibe of this hotel is so fun! My family enjoyed their stay. The lobby is great place to hang out. Only complaint was there was loud music playing from the outside lobby area in the wee hours of the morning which woke us up.

There is no refrigerator or coffee maker in the rooms and there are only two pillows per bed but the lobby is over stocked with everything you will need: pool table, several lounge areas, tremendous snack options plus delicious free cookies. The staff is super helpful and pleasant to deal with. I think the Moxy is a find!

Checked in and was only given one of the two rooms I reserved AFTER I said, “you see there are two rooms”. The response was yes… I thought maybe rooms were joined or something but no just only checked us into 1 (it was 7:30pm so I wasn’t trying to check in early or anything). So I had to go back down to the lobby (which is a hike). No apology, fairly rude. You’re supposed to get a drink at check-in, only gave us one drink for the two rooms I booked…. Rooms don’t have refrigerators unless you ask for one….. very loud, can hear everything. Pics show little terraces but those are only on certain units around the pool. Ours had a window that looked out on the terrace that was full of trash and you couldn’t get out to…. Looks like a fun hotel but beds were not comfortable at all and staff was fairly rude. I will not stay here again.

The quality of Moxy hotel was below average [to avoid poor quality]. Check in was slow. The TV and wifi did not work at all even after a technician worked on the system for about 30 minutes. The front desk was no help at all, especially with the manager out of town and not available. There was no continental breakfast, just free coffee in the morning. Thumbs down for this overnight stay.

A rather quirky hotel. There are no closets or drawers for storage. One wall is lined with pegs so you can hang cloths, backpacks, hats and anything else you like. My room did not have a blackout curtain and there was a light just outside the window that shone in the room all night. It didn’t bother me, but im sure some people would have trouble sleeping. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again.

There was one small issue with after hours hallway noise (Hint: Maybe avoid 1st floor rooms off the reception area), but that was instantly and professionally remedied by weekend manager, "Garett." And for that, my review is an instant 5 Stars.

I wanted to love everything about this hotel, the aesthetic and vibe seemed very cute, but the reality was very different. Don’t ever plan on checking in any earlier than 4 PM. We were there on a busy weekend with a concert nearby, we were stuck for the full day, not able to check in, which was fine, the facilities were not very clean. There was a mop, just hanging out on the floor in th lobby by the bathrooms. By the time we got into our room, it looked like someone had been sleeping in our bed and I’m fairly confident they just made the bed using the same sheets from the people before. It was dirty and there were cup stains and drips on our nightstand. They were very clearly short staffed and admitted they had to hire people to come in and clean the rooms because they didn’t have enough people. The service wasn’t great either, when we went and complained about our rails, they were short and offered to comp us a free drink. There was no main management on site to help & we paid $350 not including taxes to stay! Terrible.

The following review was rejected by Expedia but I don’t know why. See for yourself- A woman who worked several overnights was delightful. Kind, hard working, and helpful. I had a few noisy neighbors (different rooms) over the course of the week, She was able to intervene and help with all. There was one guest (she wasn’t working that night) who insisted on yelling all night and threatening to “beat the a$$es” of those who asked for quiet, the other person working that night (with the yeller) did nothing. I had kids with me and they were unsettled by it.

This property is convenient to Arizona State. We asked for our room to be cleaned, it never was. We asked for towels to be replaced, they never were. The coffee pots were empty, we asked if they could be refilled - indicated they would but 15 minutes later they still weren’t filled. Beds and pillows were comfortable.

Definite a unique experience! The lobby was photo-worthy and aesthetic; and the inclusion of pinball, arcade machines, billiards, foosball, chess, and checkers was fun. The free cocktail (voucher) at check-in was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious and well climate-controlled; if a touch unique. The location is near downtown Tempe, near ASU and all the expected college-town goodies: restaurants, bars, pubs, coffee, and brunch places. Definitely an experience you'll talk about!

The phone in our room didnt worK and was missing a cord therefore wasnt attached to anything. We had to call the front desk on our cell phone and asked that they refill the Shampoo/soap in the shower but was ttold there was a fee. It was half full when we arrived. Frint desk was good with giving us mini travel size bottles. The staff at check-in were very nice and sweet. I just wish the drinks were better. I liked that the person working check-in and bartending were the same person but that could be why the drinks were not good. Getting the basic drinks or a beer were fine but their mixed cocktail menu drinks were just a bit off, it could be better.

This was a nice place to stay for my four night visit. While enjoying a breakfast (which they made in the hotel kitchen, and was great), I heard the management staff having a quick morning huddle with the cleaning crew and sharing a review left. I love the leadership and how they were kindly speaking and engaged with the team members. So I wanted to provide my review so those who deserve praise receive it. The hotel is clean and it’s a nice place to stay. The rooms are updated and offer an interesting experience with the decor. The lobby offers games and I especially liked the bar that was open late and I also loved the option to order a great breakfast in the morning. Overall, I would stay here again and I’m grateful for the good experience with the kind staff.

This place is great. Check in at the bar and they give us free drinks. They had a pool table. Fooseball table. Arcade games. Board games. Pinball machines. Records and record players. A truly unique experience. The bed was comfy. Nice pillows. Great shower.

Stay here only if you’re desperate to be close to campus. It’s dirty, it’s crazy loud, every hallway smells and the hallways are not air conditioned. We are in Arizona! Room air conditioner kept room cool but didn’t remove any humidity had them service it and the maintenance sucks at this hotel. It was not fixed and super loud. Had to ask for a fridge, no coffeemakers in room, it was a weird and inconvenient set up if you wanted the free coffee. Toaster and microwave are next to coffee in a weird spot next to where people eat for their horrible restaurant and bar. Ate there once and it was gross food. The drinks were terrible too for the ridiculous price tag. Also for the love of god MOVE the luggage carts to the front of the hotel it’s crazy how far back they’re placed for families just trying to get their luggage to and from the car. Parking is 15$ daily and unnecessary to charge for your crappy lot.

This was our first stay at a Moxy, and we loved it! The room was clean and well equipt. Lobby, front desk, and common area were fresh, modern and fun. Great staff and great drinks and food. We didn't use the pool because of the rain, but it was beautiful and we would have loved to spend time there. There was a CVC right next door and other dinning options within walking distance. We will be back!

The property was unique. The "theme" was allot like Steampunk meets Hipster. The staff was great for the most part. The food was very good, epically the breakfast. The property is not perfect, however the stay was comfortable for what it was. My only real complaint is that I wish they had refrigerators and coffee machines in the rooms, it would have made a big difference. Otherwise, if you like different, and want an experience, it is a good place to go.
