Lovely and very professionally & efficiently run hotel. Loved the cozy atmosphere in the bar, special mention to Maja for her friendliness. Really enjoyed having a decent sized swimming pool and being able to have a swim before breakfast. Our only - slight - gripe was breakfast in that we had to point out to the breakfast waiting staff that the bread had run out 20 minutes ago - they hadn't noticed - but this was rectified immediately. The breakfast service was also quite slow and the coffee was cold. But, all in all a fabulous stay and I've already recommended the hotel to a friend who's planning on going to Falmouth.

The staff were all superb. The public spaces were very good, and the pool was excellent. However the rooms need attention, and the lack of a proper evening meal was disappointing.

We loved our stay in the hotel. The proximity to two train stations and to all the restaurants on High Street made it an ideal location. The breakfast and evenings at the bar were really comfortable and generous, the staff was perfect. DIY check in and check out, though less than appealing, is the way most hotels are working these days.

Great hotel and good location nice to see little touches of excellence. we stayed visiting friends and it was great to be able to entertain them there. Nice restaurant and very up to date rooms and facilities. My one overriding slightly negative comment was how 'impersonal' it felt. The electronic booking -in was more akin to bar code shopping at waitrose (and didnt work.. we needed staff to help, both booking in, and out) and the breakfast process was slick but slightly impersonal. Very efficient but overall we felt 'processed'

We loved this hotel, it was wonderfully clean and beautifully decorated. A nice relaxing vide around the whole place. All the staff we met were polite and professional. A nice pool. No air con in room but that was expected so no problem. A couple things that could be improved.. no restaurant menu, just small plates so no option to eat in. Breakfast was good. There is no info card in room so wasn’t sure of meal times, pool times etc. checkout was done on a pc which lacks a personal goodbye touch but get it’s a modern thing. In the bathroom there is 1 hand wash so you transfer it from shower to sink and back again, no big deal but put a small soap in sink. About a 12 min walk to town or beach. Would happily stay here again next time

Free parking outside the hotel (a bonus), greeted on entry and helped with check in. Rooms were adequate with ensuite bathroom. Comfortable charming hotel, clean room and good facilities. Staff were friendly - especially in the bar. My colleague and I were given upgrades to bigger rooms which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was fine for continental options, however the cooked options were £14.99 each which I thought was a little steep.

Arrived at 2.15pm to no proper reception just a check in screen. Room not ready. Came back 30 mins later checked in. Went to room only to find hairs in the bath, hairs on the area where you made drinks, bits all over the floor including food crumbs. Lamp on side table dirty. Spoke to cleaner who said he would clean again. Shown to bar area where we spoke to the manager who wasnt really interested in our complaint and was more bothered about asking if we would be using the spa etc. Also was adamant that checkin was 3pm and not 2pm as stated on hotels.com booking. The manager appeared five minutes later to say it had now been cleaned to which i replied wow theyve cleaned all that in five minutes. She then said in a patronising manner that she would get them to clean it again just to make sure its done. We returned later to find the hairs still in the bath, crumbs on the floor and even worse a blood stain on the outside of the bathroom door. Absolutely disgusting. Spoke to a member of staff on the bar who said the manager had stepped off site. The staff member called the manager by phone and we were told we could have a full refund as they had no spare rooms. We left and found another hotel and are waiting for our refund.

Professing to be a luxury property. But in truth is nothing more than a beautiful old property with a 60's extension that has had some recentish renovations. The noise insulation is awful, I could hear neighbouring rooms quite clearly. I was woken by people walking in the corridor at night. Check-in and Check-out was appalling - the owners need to employ a person full time until at least 8/9pm, not rely on some very odd screens in the reception area. I checked in around 1830, and had to hassle the bar staff to get hold of my room key. The breakfast was as expected, but nothing to write home about. A final observation, as a client in their 30's is that perhaps the issue I have don't matter to most clients, as they seem to be 65 so probably can't hear too well, and don't have a job, so check in mid afternoon.

Breakfast was a little different: limited cereal option but different bread options for toast. A new one to me was the set menu for cooked breakfast- made to order. Also a choice of teas and coffee. Swimming pool and steam room downstairs as well. A quiet location, a short distance from the shopping areas on each side. 10-15 minute walk or drive it in less. Another feature was book a taxi at the touch of a button. Finally couldn't fault the staff for their excellent customer service. I would recommend this hotel - mainly for couples and friends. Although I would stay here again myself.

We loved our stay in the hotel. The proximity to two train stations and to all the restaurants on High Street made it an ideal location. The breakfast and evenings at the bar were really comfortable and generous, the staff was perfect. No air con in room but that was expected so no problem. A couple things that could be improved.. no restaurant menu, just small plates so no option to eat in. Breakfast was good. There is no info card in room so wasn’t sure of meal times, pool times etc. checkout was done on a pc which lacks a personal goodbye touch but get it’s a modern thing. In the bathroom there is 1 hand wash so you transfer it from shower to sink and back again, no big deal but put a small soap in sink. About a 12 min walk to town or beach. Would happily stay here again next time

Lovely and very professionally & efficiently run hotel. Loved the cozy atmosphere in the bar, special mention to Maja for her friendliness. Really enjoyed having a decent sized swimming pool and being able to have a swim before breakfast. Our only - slight - gripe was breakfast in that we had to point out to the breakfast waiting staff that the bread had run out 20 minutes ago - they hadn't noticed - but this was rectified immediately. The breakfast service was also quite slow and the coffee was cold. But, all in all a fabulous stay and I've already recommended the hotel to a friend who's planning on going to Falmouth.

Comfortable charming hotel, clean room and good facilities. Staff were friendly - especially in the bar. My colleague and I were given upgrades to bigger rooms which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was fine for continental options, however the cooked options were £14.99 each which I thought was a little steep.

Bedroom was in need of a lot of work, including a new bathroom. The bath itself was stained from being so old. Photos can be misleading, as our bedroom looked over a flat roof and carpark. Jacuzzi not working in the pool, nor the sauna. For the money, you’d expect a lot more.
