The food and drink was great, excellent breakfast. The pub does a great Sunday roast!

The breakfast provided such a good range of items; I asked for some to be swapped and it was no problem. Our room was really comfortable, spotlessly clean, fabulous view. The staff without exception were kind, approachable, knowledgeable, helpful. The bar was a pleasant place to sit. It is just such a relaxing, lovely place to stay.

Customer service at this hotel is excellent. Lovely views.The only real drawback here is the parking...some is available on the quay behind, but if this area is used for functions it reduces car parking somewhat. There is some parking at front of hotel and also a small underground car park, but on street parking is at a premium...we hardly saw free parking spaces during the week we stayed. That said, would definitely stay here during off peak season.

Breakfast was delicious too! First time for us in Falmouth & this was an excellent choice -highly recommended.

Parkinh was a problem and Wifi not great

Enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel which overlooks the water. We have a lovely breakfast and it was only 5 mins walk from town centre. There's free parking available for guests.

Fantastic location with stunning views over the harbour. Only a few minutes stroll into the town and attractions. Friendly staff. The building is steeped in history and must have witnessed incredible sights over the centuries. As such the building is best described as quirky which enhances its character, far more interesting than a modern box. The room warm, clean and comfortable with a small balcony to take in the view. Well stocked complimentary tea tray in the room, along with a dog bowl and a dog treat box. Yes, the hotel is dog friendly! Having stayed several times previously, I can assume the restaurant dining was the same quality. Having a dog limited dining to the Working Boat Pub below, but again very friendly staff and good quality food. Fabulous views too. Having my dog with me resulted in breakfast being served in the bar with waitress service. Again good quality food and stunning views. The bar a very pleasant location for evening drinks with a wide range on offer. There is free parking on site, but would suggest reserving a parking space prior to arrival. The hotel is geared up to do this. If you are a boater, the hotel boasts its own jetty for you to moor up to whilst enjoying the offerings of the hotel. In my opinion, the Greenbank Hotel is the best hotel in Falmouth, certainly my favorite, and looking forward to returning again.

We stayed just for an extra night after a week in Cornwall. It is a very old hotel which has been beautifully renovated. Attention to detail in the room was outstanding. Provided plenty of big thick plush towels and bathrobe and slippers. Toiletries were provided. Tea coffee facilities with lovely home-made Shortbread was a lovely touch. The beds were comfortable and good quality bedding.. The only problem we had with the room was that we couldn’t open the window much and it was too hot. However, apparently there was a fan in the wardrobe that we didn’t see. The customer service here was outstanding, particularly in the restaurant. The parking was a bit awkward as it was a busy Saturday evening, but we managed to park in the basement eventually. There were interesting photos and letters and information about the hotel history which is really interesting to us as my partners family have stayed there over three generations going back to 1920s.

Staff were excellent, receptionist, waiters , guys in the pub all fabulous which is rare in hospitality these days. Food in the pub was fantastic, lovely burger and a beautiful pint of real ale “sea fury”. Breakfast was outstanding. Lovely room clean and tidy.

Likes: Nice Harbour View. Friendly Hotel staff. Short walking distance to the Falmouth old town. Negatives: Not enough parking spaces. Sometimes only Fish&Chips in the Boathouse Pub (no Burgers). Long waiting times for the breakfast.

Stayed at the Greenbank hotel for part of our Cornwall trip with the dog and the staff were very nice and accommodating with supplying treats for the dog. We also had a room with the harbour view which was fantastic. There is a pub sort of attached which is also very nice. The hotel is very nice, but some bits are a bit tired such as the hallway carpets which have stains. The rooms could also use some sound proofing as we could hear every step from the room above us. Breakfast was included, but was not great and very slow even though the staff had us reserve a time slot ahead of time. There are a few free parking spots for the hotel, but otherwise it's street parking or "VIP parking" for an additional cost. We managed to get street parking okay, but I can imagine during high season it might be difficult to find street parking.

Bed very comfy but room was very noisey and hot. No air con at hotel so had to use fan and have window open (onto main road). Area around the bath was very mucky and tired, lots of mould. Needs re grouting and a good clean. Breakfast was tasty and a beautiful view.

The room was spotless as always, breakfast was delicious. Jess remembered me from our last visitwhich was great.

The hotel is perfectly situated along the water and 20 minutes to walk to the center of the tourist hub. If you are in a room that doesn’t face the water it means you are sleeping facing the road and hearing the cars all night and early morning. The property is charming but old and showing every sign of a run down hotel that really needs a deep clean and endless repairs. The floors are all uneven, ceilings and walls full of patches, scuffs and denys, rooms and public spaces need to be thoroughly cleaned and the lifts are tiny. The bathroom was updated but there is black mold around the tub enclosure. Breakfast was included and it was a gorgeous spread. You can tell that the staff tries their best to offer good service to offset the condition of the property but it just needs an overhaul to really restore it to its glory days. Parking was convenient outside and under the hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable, with a great choice of teas/coffee’s etc. We chose a room with a view over the estuary and weren’t disappointed. The staff we spoke to were all friendly, polite and professional, credit to the hotel. There was a great choice of food in the restaurant and bar with views over the estuary. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be going back.

Lovely, helpful staff. Definitely the most fantastic view for breakfast. Room large and well appointed. Stain on headboard, curtains hanging off the rail. Stain on blanket. Bath was badly designed. Carpets in the hallways very stained, is this really 4 Star?

We enjoyed our stay at the Greenbank. Reception were so helpful to find a parking space (we have a camper van). From reception to the dining staff, nothing was too much trouble. Room was sooo clean with a beautiful view of the harbour and looked like the bathroom had been refurbed fairly recently. Reviews on the restaurant we read were mixed, which we couldn’t understand as the our experience was amazing. Thank you to all the staff at the Greenbank. We’ll be back !

We booked a superior room for one night stay and were in 134 which is right next to the road. The room was nice, well equipped and clean but we were woken up through the night by traffic and early morning by deliveries to the hotel so did not get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. I did mention the problem regarding the traffic noise and the receptionist was apologetic agreeing that there was traffic and delivery noise. Never having stayed there before it would have been nice if we'd been informed of this earlier.

Beautiful harbour view room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and we had a fabulous evening meal in the restaurant. The staff are brilliant. Its a lovely short walk to shops and restaurants. We had a really lovely time and will definitely stay there again.

Lovely room with a fantastic view. Really nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Dinner was ok. The bar/lounge area was lovely and it was great to have a pub on site. Unfortunately, on the Saturday night they had an wedding in their marquee on their pier and the music was really loud in our room which spoilt what we hoped to be a relaxing evening for us. We were advised about the event, but it was a lot louder than anticipated. However, the hotel is fantastic and would definitely stay again, just hopefully miss any outdoor weddings next time!

Lovely hotel, unfortunately for me in room 126 the creaking floorboards from above were relentless and I didn't sleep much at all. I would say great location, good food, pleasant staff but, be sure to stay on the top floor.....

Unfortunately I think we got one of the worst rooms in the hotel, a classic double in room 102. It was right at the top of the stairs, and being an older building it meant we could hear every single noise in the corridor and stairway outside. The room itself was quite dated also and was not reflective of the hotel listing. Breakfast was included which is nice, and they did have vegetarian and vegan options, however the vegan breakfast was quite underwhelming and small. Despite the above the staff were very friendly and helpful, it's just a shame that the fairly high cost per night didn't reflect the facilities offered.

Lovely pre Xmas stay for3 nights. Opted for a bay window sea view room, 215 which was fabulous. Breakfast was fresh, great choices. Pub underneath the hotel was also great and meant that we didnt need to walk in the rain.

Really lovely room and staff. Easy to park and super views. Only negative was the bed was very hard.

Excellent service from all staff a pleasure to stay there. We have traditionally stayed at St Michaels when in Falmouth but will be staying here from now on.

I have stayed at The Greenbank a few times. This visit was disappointing- service at dinner was slow and we received our food before any water or wine was brought - same at breakfast - food brought before the tea and coffee - not a great experience unfortunately

This was my 4th stay here. I love this hotel, they get it just right for feeling you are staying somewhere special, great service, but relaxing & chilled. The food is great, range of cocktails & drinks in the bar is excellent. Service is fantastic, the staff are all so friendly & helpful. & the rooms are lovely with comfy beds and pillows

From the initial warm welcome at reception to the complementary room upgrade, the experience has been first class. Highly recommended anytime of the year.

This is an excellent hotel, in a superb position - both for lovely views and access to the town. We had small problem with our room, but on bringing it to the attention of the hotel, this was dealt with promptly and efficiently in very courteous way. Indeed, every member of staff we came into contact with were all extremely friendly. The attached pub is also very popular.

I originally booked over a month prior to my stay. My sister was supposed to join me, unfortunately she had an accident. I contacted hotel.com to try to arrange a refund due to the circumstances, they reached out to the Greenbank Hotel and was told that their policy was strict and they would not refund. I then rang the hotel and explained the situation that my sister was unable to travel and that the reason I was coming to the hotel with my sister was to scatter our mothers ashes and have a memorial service There was no empathy from the receptionist that i spoke to and she said they had a strict policy and unable to refund. I had given them over a months notice. I was quite shocked at the lack of empathy and understanding. I travelled on my own to stay there as it had cost nearly over one Thousand two hundred pounds. My stay there was comfortable, the service good. Unfortunately the menu was too fancy and due to previous surgery i was limited to what i could eat. I decided to have Sunday lunch, the meat and gravy was nice but, all the vegetable were really hard, not edible except for the carrot parsnip mash. The roast potatoes were difficult to cut into as the skin was really tough, so i could only eat the centre of them. I will not be returning to stay at the Greenbank hotel, mainly due to how I was treated when I reached out to them for a cancellation and refund.

Excellent location, historic hotel with fantastic views and lovely, spacious rooms. We received an unexpected room upgrade and ended up in a fabulous twin room literally over the waters of Falmouth Harbour! Wish we could stay for a bit longer and enjoy Falmouth (third time visiting for me but always somewhere I want to revisit) and that lovely room!

Nice older place, but extremely difficult to get to. Cars parked along a two way road leaving only enough room for one car; was stuck for a while.

Stunning location, right on the edge of the river ..only 5 minute walk to the town. Stunning views from our room and the restaurant

Beautiful location on harbor

Great location for exploring the south west coast! And the terrace is great for a morning coffee or an evening cocktail and easy access for a cold swim in the harbour! Highly recommend! Get a room with a sea view if you can.

Amazing food, cooked to order breakfast. Dining room looks out direct over the estuary and layout means most tables have a beautiful view. Service was really attentive and staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom was also very clean and comfortable and bathroom had separate shower cubicle. Hotel has a lot of history and building is quirky but has lots of character. Imaginative cocktail menu too, with an added bonus of 2 for £12 on Fridays. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Only issue was with the restaurant...some courses really overpriced considering what arrived...Scallops superb...for price...Pork belly not so...or the Fillet steak..(£34)...This was evening fare...daytime menus & prices more realistic..

This is a well run, comfortable hotel in a lovely position by the harbour. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience lunching in their Water's Edge restaurant, my guests had the chicken main course, which they described as over cooked and dry. I had the fillet steak with bearnaise sauce, the steak was so small and there was no bearnaise, as can be seen in the photograph. I don't know what the problem is in the kitchen, but we had to wait 40 minutes on Saturday breakfast for the Greenbank Grill to arrive.

Tranquil and charming old hotel perched right on the water and a short walk to central Falmouth. Restaurant and bar are excellent, and the staff are among the kindest and most helpful I've come across.

The description of the hotel was better than the actual facility. The hallways were dirty. we could hear the people talking in the room next to us at night. At the pub, one of the waiters spent more time laughing with his buddies than helping other customers. Nice staff in the restaurant. room was very tiny and the stairs the bathroom are a bit of a hazard.

A lovely county style hotel. The staff were attentive and checked in a couple of times that everything was ok which was nice. Great a La carte breakfast menu. We ate in restaurant twice and enjoyed meal. Easy walking distance to Main Street and shops. Falmouth is a great place to stay. Highly recommend town and hotel.
