Stayed 2 nights

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the room was not very pleasant—it felt quite outdated and wasn’t as clean as expected, with noticeable spider webs. In addition, it was quite noisy in the morning, which made it difficult to rest properly. On a more positive note, the restaurant staff were excellent. They were very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. Overall, while the staff made a good impression, the condition of the room and the noise levels could really use improvement.

Lovely comfortable place to stay with very attentive staff. Great location, only a few mins walk to shops, pubs and the lake.

Stayed 2 nights

We were booked for 2 nights at this property. It is quite near to the Bowness pier and the shops and restaurants. The rooms are spread across cottages and rooms in the main building with reception and restaurant/bar in a separate building. Even though near the centre it is quiet. Staff is great and welcoming! Good breakfast options. The hot breakfast is cooked on order and rest is in a buffet. All in all very comfortable stay and location can serve as a base for exploring other parts of Lake District.

Lovely breakfast, great staff and gorgeous gardens. Stayed in the house which is a Edwardian property which could do with a facelift but it was cosy and warm with everything we needed
