We have visited here many times over the last four years and we have never been disappointed. Everything about this venue is superb, especially the wonderful staff who never fail to make us feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is so comfortable with lots of rooms to sit and relax. The log fires add to the comfort. Breakfast is so enjoyable with lots of choice. You can dine in the Bistro or the Restaurant and the food is all lovely. There is also a bar menu if you just want a snack.

This was our second visit to this truly splendid hotel and everything was wonderful.The location is perfect with beautiful views of the lake.All staff are friendly and helpful and both restaurants serve excellent food albeit with a different ambiance. The only problem is that it spoils you for staying anywhere else !!

A friendly welcome with great service throughout the checkin process. The hotel Itself is beautiful and it was nice to have access to lovely lounge areas, bar and stunning gardens. Particularly nice in the evening just as the sun was setting. The rooms were large and well appointed and the shower was amazing. Loved the TV in the bath, not that we used it but still novel for those wanting to truely unwind. The included breakfast was delicious with a range of options to meet all tastes.

This is an expensive hotel and worth every penny. A very pleasant place to relax in beautiful surroundings. A wonderful building that retains all of the charm of it's period. The room was nicely decorated with a very modern bathroom plus (in our room) a bath arranged so that you could look out across the grounds to the lake whilst bathing. Nice. A good restaurant, a cosy bar, a quiet study and a comfortable drawing room and well tended gardens complete the picture.

We love it here. It’s so serene. The food and service is impeccable. Grounds and lake views are so lovely. We brought our adult son and his girlfriend and they loved it so much too. If there’s one thing to improve or would be to have the outside painted See you again soon hopefully

Positives: The grounds of the hotel are beautiful right on the lake. The food was really tasty (I ate in the bistro) and breakfast was especially special with lots of offerings and extras offered - all plate served not buffet style. The staff were all friendly and made me feel welcome. My room and bathroom were really clean - dressing gown and towel provided and a cloud 9 hairdryer is a bonus. Espresso machine and freebies included is a nice touch. Huge bed and smart TV. Cons: I paid £88 on Expedia only to find out when checking out that this was just a “deposit?” And was charged an additional £25 (was not expecting this). My bedroom door didn’t lock - I mentioned to someone on reception that it wasn’t auto locking when I left the room but they did not check for me and said I mustn’t be shutting it properly (the lock was not working and I slept with it unlocked all night) Had it have been inner city I would have felt unsafe but in the lakes I was ok with it.

What a beautiful place Storrs Hall is. And not just because of the wonderful historic building set in an incredible location, the high standard of furnishings and cleanliness, but also because of the high quality of service and attentiveness that every member of staff provides. From the check in experience, the bar, the Bistro and breakfast, everyone couldn’t have been more polite or helpful. And speaking of food, wow! We ate in the bistro, and the food was stunning, and very reasonably priced (IMO). Breakfast the next morning was also such a high quality treat. I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay at the hotel.

The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom amazing. We hope to return. The staff are so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Cocktails although expensive are delicious 😋

Did not know that the hotel did not have a lift. Had heavy suitcase to negotiate to the top floor (room32) and as my recent back operation was still healing I requested a ground floor room. The staff fully understood and moved me to room7 on the first floor. The view from room 7 was disgusting as green slime covered the wall about 5 feet from the window. When this dries it will give off spores and thus prevented me from opening the window. The staff were great

We had an exceptional experience at Storrs Hall. The buildings and surrounding area were beautiful as was the room we were given. Set right on the lake it was such a great location. But the best part of the experience was the customer service. Every member of the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and do everything they could to assist us. This was not your average hotel experience. Special thanks to Lucy who could not have done more for us and was amazing. Plus the breakfast was superb! Highly recommend this hotel in the Lakes.

We booked a lake view room for 3 nights and it was perfect. The lake is beautiful and the grounds stretch to the water's edge. We've stayed at Storrs Hall a number of years ago but we won't be waiting so long for our next visit.

Beautiful hotel, lake view room, with the all important AIR conditioning option. It didn’t cool as much as we would like for a wife that gets hot flashes & being used to keeping your body cool at night for best sleeps (we Americans love our AC.) had to open small upper corner windows at night, but they are behind closed blinds for privacy and difficult to get the cold air into the room. Beds were a little worn out but overall slept good. Staff was amazingly nice, gave advice on sights to see, and very accommodating at breakfast and front desk. Large tub was awesome. Room was very quiet.

This is the finest place I've stayed in the Lakes thus far. The hotel grounds are magnificent. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Every meal was exceptional, both breakfasts and dinners. For me, what truly sets Storrs Hall apart is the excellence of the entire staff. Everyone was so friendly and glad to assist. I've rarely, if ever, experienced such a warm welcome and genuine interaction. The hotel's location feels rather remote, and no public transportation (bus/boat/train) can be easily accessed by foot. That said, Bowness is a five-minute drive away. Car parks are plentiful there. Highly recommended for an idyllic getaway. I would be delighted to stay at Storrs Hall again.

And not just because of the wonderful historic building set in an incredible location, the high standard of furnishings and cleanliness, but also because of the high quality of service and attentiveness that every member of staff provides. From the check in experience, the bar, the Bistro and breakfast, everyone couldn’t have been more polite or helpful. And speaking of food, wow! We ate in the bistro, and the food was stunning, and very reasonably priced (IMO). Breakfast the next morning was also such a high quality treat. We stayed for one night just for a break the hotel was lovely inside and out a very relaxing place to stay the staff we came across were friendly and especially Olivia on the reception desk from arriving to leaving nothing was too much even ringing us so we didn’t miss breakfast overall a very pleasant place to stay and would definitely stay again

Lovely 4 star hotel on the lake. Room was spacious and clean. Food was excellent in the bistro and breakfast. One of the best cooked to order full English ever. Food Service was first rate. Lobby area and external of the building needed some TLC… the reception staff could been more friendly more like the bistro, breakfast and cleaning staff. Small last comment but first impressions count.

We had an exceptional experience at Storrs Hall. The buildings and surrounding area were beautiful as was the room we were given. Set right on the lake it was such a great location. But the best part of the experience was the customer service. Every member of the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and do everything they could to assist us. This was not your average hotel experience. Special thanks to Lucy who could not have done more for us and was amazing. Plus the breakfast was superb! Highly recommend this hotel in the Lakes.

We had an amazing two night stay at Storrs Hall. We couldn't fault anything at all. Food was to die for and all the staff were so eager and happy to help. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The grounds around the hotel were just beautiful to walk around and the view of the Lake was the icing on the cake. We will definitely return in the very near future.

We booked a lake view room for 3 nights and it was perfect. The lake is beautiful and the grounds stretch to the water's edge. We've stayed at Storrs Hall a number of years ago but we won't be waiting so long for our next visit.

Fantastic location & accommodation. Every member of staff we encountered had a smile & always had time to chat. The food was excellent & a good variety of choice. Not within walking distance of alternative places to eat but we were there for 4 days celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary so were happy to spoil ourselves & have a special meal every evening!

This is an expensive hotel and worth every penny. A very pleasant place to relax in beautiful surroundings. A wonderful building that retains all of the charm of it's period. The room was nicely decorated with a very modern bathroom plus (in our room) a bath arranged so that you could look out across the grounds to the lake whilst bathing. Nice. A good restaurant, a cosy bar, a quiet study and a comfortable drawing room and well tended gardens complete the picture.

We have visited here many times over the last four years and we have never been disappointed. Everything about this venue is superb, especially the wonderful staff who never fail to make us feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is so comfortable with lots of rooms to sit and relax. The log fires add to the comfort. Breakfast is so enjoyable with lots of choice. You can dine in the Bistro or the Restaurant and the food is all lovely. There is also a bar menu if you just want a snack.

Storrs Hall is a delight to visit. It was our second visit and everything was just as perfect as last time. We were given the same room. It's luxurious, functional and exceptionally clean. The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom amazing. We hope to return. The staff are so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Cocktails although expensive are delicious 😋

The hotel and gardens have great character and charm.We had lovely quiet room overlooking the woods. It was udergoing some needed renovation works on the outside at the the but that didnt detract from a great experience.
