Stayed 1 night

So bad we only stayed the one night and that's because we had to, we went home for the second night. #avoid# Carpets filthy and stained throughout the accommodation, lino in places in some rooms not fitted properly and other parts of the building. A noticeable unpleasant smell on entering the building. Rooms dirty, walls in the room dirty and full of grime wallpaper ripped, chewing gum on one of the walls. Headboard dirty. Carpet in this room, worn, ripped and filthy. Bed should be in the tip, springs sticking in you and not even flat. Draws had dirt in them. Everything was worn. Mold in the shower. Bathroom stank. This was an upgrade room and tried to change us Extra per night. This is not over exaggerated. Reported it to hotels.com with pictures to try and get a refund and got no support from Hotels.com so won't use them again. Hotel lied and said we stayed both night. Good reviews must made up or come from family and friends in my opinion. One girl behind the bar was pleasant. Would upload more images but only 8 allowed on the review.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Shower door didn't shut properly, but apart from that, the bed was very comfy, room was cosy. Great stay!

Convenient location, parking can be a challenge for big cars. Room 3, lovely clean bed, functional bathroom, water pressure for the shower's not brilliant but workable. Air con unit outside window (not for the bedroom!) Hotel by busy intersection of roads and crossings. Keep your door key in the lock. Code for entrance door and key drop on leaving. Good vfm for overnight stop.

Stayed 5 nights

Fantastic location. We could get to the Snowdonia Railway, Anglesey, Llandudno and many other places very easily. Welcoming and pleasant staff. Everything we needed for a 5 day adventure in North Wales. Topped off with seeing my first puffin on Puffin island.

It's an intriguing mixture of an old opposite-the-station hotel, but with beach bar vibe and student staff, and hang out for some locals, even at 8:00 in the morning. I appreciated the on-site parking and the friendly welcome. Food was good. I missed the advertised Thai breakfast the following morning, but had excellent Pad Thai the previous evening. There's a theme here - the owner/manager is Thai. It's not quite sure what it is. I saw somewhere that it was described as a bunkhouse. No, it's at least a guest house, almost a hotel, though it still has a handful of rooms that are not en-suite. So its identity is confusing, but it was welcoming and comfortable.
