The hotel is doing some freshening/renovations, but it was still very quiet. The Calypso restaurant has really good food and a beautiful outdoor area overlooking the lake. It is a short walk to Town Square, so very convenient. The only issue is that there is no designated hotel parking, so parking after 5 pm can be sparse due to the nightly entertainment at the square. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice , clean room. Good shower- has 2 showerheads for some reason. Restaurants are very convenient w/numerous options incl Calypso in the hotel. Deck has a lake view and is very nice place to hang out. They also have a pretty good gym for a hotel- would be nice to have some shades, etc so its not like a fishbowl when people walk by. Would definitely stay again.

We picked this hotel because it had a pool and bar, that we planned on hangout at. Neither were available due to renovations, ruined our entire night. It would have been nice to use both since that is what was advertised on your website. Would second guess using your website next time due to false advertisement.

This hotel needs a major renovation. The elevators are very very slow. There’s a restaurant onsite, no breakfast or lunch is available. The first day our towels smelled very musty. The soap & shampoo offered I believe was watered down because it took too much to lather up. There was 2 shower heads (nice) but very high pressure. They sprayed everywhere. My husband worked out and the equipment was very old. Also, the pool and it was full of tree stuff. Bottom of pool was very rough and needs an update. For $200 a night, it did not impress us at all and will never return.

This property was amazing! Megan at the front desk was so incredibly helpful during our stay, staff and housekeeping were excellent. Rooms are great, the beds are so comfortable and the sheets are the most comfortable sheets we’ve ever slept in. We bought 2 sets to take home! The bar downstairs was great and the pool area and the grounds are beautiful. We will now make this our return hotel each time visiting my grandmother.

Good and pleasant hotel overall. My only complaint is that we stayed for two nights and the room was never cleaned. We would have expected at least the basic housekeeping service. It would also be nice if they offered at least a bottle of water in the room.

Shower had mold at the floor line... printer and elevator had issues... price for convenience food in the lobby was expensive i.e. $3.00 for 2 ounce chips. Paint smell in the lobby was unbearable. One bartender on for opening night at the bar... wait time for a beer was 15 minutes. Last years stay was excellent, this year not so much !

Property did not match photos at all. Everything in the room was very worn and dirty. The first night we had no hot water and when we finally did get hot water the tub didn’t drain properly so I was in ankle deep water taking a shower. Not much help from staff. I was pretty disappointed with this property because it is in a really neat area with lots of shopping, dining and nightlife.

Liked: comfortable beds, spacious room and TV, nice swimming pool, beautiful lake view, nice meals at Calypso. Disliked: no breakfast; small shop w/ few items to eat. Room was never cleaned up (arrived Monday; Thursday night we asked for clean towels/ removal of trash. Admittedly 1 day we left 'do not disturb' sign by mistake. Checked out Friday.

Our stay was just overnight but The Villages area is very nice. The Inn was very nice as well. Very quiet area where you felt safe taking a walk to go eat. Parking was super easy and plentiful. The A/C unit is top notch. I deducted 1* due to bed being a little to firm for me.

The room looked nice at first glance, but there were things that weren't very accommodating for travelers. The lamp between the beds was huge and there wasn't much room to lay anything on it. The credenza in which the TV sat was pretty worthless for a traveler. You really couldn't put anything on it ( maybe some packing cubes) but looked modern. The lighting was dim. My roommate is 89 and she was upset that there was not a grab bar in the shower. She was afraid of falling, so didn't shower. It would have been nice to have had some complementary breakfast. The beds were comfortable and it was a clean and nice looking room. We had a nice view of the lake from the balcony.

Loved that the room had hard floor. A dimmer in bathroom was helpful! Easy to clean. Wish there was a mini-refrigerator that includes freezer. It had a small chiller. Having breakfast available / included would be nice.

Hotel appears to be old needs to be renovated. The air conditioner is the old style wall unit it sufficiently. The room was clean but needed an update. Staff was friendly on check in but when I tried to get a copy of the receipt, they couldn’t do it at checkout.

Upon check in we were informed that Hotel is under renovation. Bar/Restaurant is not open. Front desk and staff were very friendly. We were upgraded to a balcony room which was gorgeous. Room was quiet and cozy. Property is walking distance from bars, shops, restaurants and entertainment. Can’t wait to return and see the completed renovations!

Lobby under construction not told this - nor listed anywhere, bar restaurant also this way - so go in and out an awkward back entrance exit - but shoulder season and don't care anyway, but what if was counting on all that ?? and the guy knowing only half full or less at check in and leaving before the weekend - and give me the parking lot room over the dumpster ?? Both these things annoying, right !!?? Well - told the guy "Lake view Please"!!! Duhhh ??? Maybe they all need to go to a hospitality class or something ?? Otherwise good place...

Very nice hotel. Everything was great. Only wish they offered a breakfast service. No breakfast is offered but have local places a short walk away. When I called to request having my brother and sister in law’s room near our room, the male associate sounded very impatient with me. Not as customer friendly as all the other employees. Everyone else was wonderful.

We love this hotel and stayed here a few times, staff are fantastic and we love location, walking distance to everything including nightly concerts at town square, only request is I wish they had a recliner instead on a chair, us older folks don’t always watch tv in bed.

Awesome experience once again. I love the location of the hotel. We rented a golf cart a street over from the hotel and drove all over the villages. If you don't want to rent a golf cart, everything you need or can think of is within walking distance from the hotel. I love staying there when im in the villages.

The Waterfront Inn in the Villages was perfectly located for our visit and stay in the Lake Sumpter square area. The staff was welcoming and helpful and ...fun! Great service from the front desk and the onsite restaurant staff. The hotel was perfectly adequate - just not quite as luxurious as the Brownwood in the Brownwood square area. The price was fair and the room was clean with comfortable beds.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but I must say this past day is hands-down the best we’ve ever had. They have renovated the lobby and restaurant area and it has really elevated this hotel. The rooms have always been spot on clean and comfortable. But now with the new renovations with the Calypso restaurant that has an amazing outside bar and dining overlooking the water. We have decided that this will be our permanent staycation place. We thoroughly enjoyed eating multiple meals at the Calypso restaurant, including the coconut, curry mussels, sticky chicken, coconut shrimp, the sheep crab soup is just to die for it has so much flavor. We typically caught lunch here and ate the appetizers and laid out by the pool and drink drinks. We had top-notch service from Alex and Pedro. Alex was our server and she was on it. Pedro was our bartender when we just wanted to hang out he was fun inviting and made awesome drinks. I would recommend this hotel and this restaurant over and over again.

We stayed only one night as we were closing on our new house. The staff were very friendly and the bartender Matt took care of us at happy hour. We walked next door to Cody’s and had a good dinner. Unfortunately we were too tired to go listen to the band playing on the square - we heard they were very good. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to our friends.
