This Hotel has a we laid out Bar/Resteraunt , the rooms are clean and tidy with enough soace. They also have on sire Starbucks coffee shop.. The best thing is the Gym and pool, it is welllaid out and verry clean

This was the second time that i have staying at The Village Hotel. I booked it for my daughter's birthday. We enjoyed our stay. The pool and gym are great. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area near the toilets didnt smell nice. We went to the restaurant to eat but found it very expensive. The jacuzzi was cold. I would definitely stay again. I would walk to Cheadle Village for food next time.

£180 fir a basic room the the night, air con not working. I picked this hotel so I could go to the gym in the morning and then had to pay. Disappointed as should have been able to use the hotel facilities.

We were given an accessible room although we didn’t need one. The room smelt musty and damp. The bathroom had orange mould all over the grout as well as black mould in the silicone. It was not the same as the bathrooms pictured in the listing and had wet puddles on the floor and a smell of mould. The bed was ok though maybe a little on the firm side. The restaurant was very slow and the food was very average. I won’t be booking here again even if it is cheap

Arrived after our flight from Manchester, first room given had no working toilet. Second, and last room available, which was an upgrade to us!,had stains and urine left in the toilet and stained sheets. Out of the two rooms left which we booked over a week ago, none was fit for purpose. No rooms left in any hotels in the area at 2:30 in the morning so had to drive home and miss arrangements in Chester. No contact from hotel either.

We arrived late around midnight was given a room which had clearly not been cleaned, the bed sheet were dirty, the floor had not been hovered and the toilet had not been cleaned, We went downstairs and were given another room easily by the nice man on reception. This was was clean but still very tired/worn. The whole hotel could do with some updating and cleaning.

The room had a damp smell which was over powering after a while. Looked like the shower was blocked and it was running onto the floor. With the smell that strong must been doing it for ages

Room was terribly hot. They had a fan already running as I entered but it wasn’t enough and the windows could only open 2cms. The furniture was in an awful state, scratched, abused, looked so tacky and cheap. There were marks and scratches on the paint, even parts where a completely different paint was used for no reason. Bathroom had fungus growth on ceiling, probably due to lack of ventilation. First time in year's that I have visited a Village hotel… shocking.

Free parking on the Saturday was great and meant we could leave the car before we checked in and head into Manchester. We came back to check in at 10:30pm and did check in via the screens. Not the easiest check in but not too hard to do. One staff member showed up as we just finished check in. Got to the room to find a not so nice stain on the bed. The bathroom wasn’t too clean either so did not use the shower. Went down to reception to get someone to change bedding but had to wait over 10 minutes for a staff member to be present. He did however change the bedding in our room promptly and was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and the bed was so comfy. Unfortunately the noise from the wedding in the evening, and the gym sessions in the morning kept us up late and woke us up early. Location was perfect for us and with a bit more cleanliness and less noise this would have been a perfect stay.

The room had no view at all and plug points were very limited. There was a hole in the carpet and a fairly large depression below it. The room needed a deep clean. The bathroom was good. The breakfast and pool facilities were very good.

The corridor smelt of damp, sink was blocked, bedroom very dusty and bed was not made properly. The steam room was broken in the spa and same people hogging the jacuzzi for 45 minutes without being supervised to max stay 20 minutes to allow others to enter. Breakfast finished at 9pm. Hotel very noisy as over the flight path of Manchester airport and woken up at 6.45am by a lady shouting at her son in the car park. Very poor experience.

Room was a bit dated and you could hear everything. From about 3pm till around 11:30 was constant banging music plus the extremely thin doors and walls means I could hear everything, doors banging, shouting, kids running around. Had to sleep in my AirPods. No control over heating just a Dyson fan that had seen better days so when it was turned on it made a constant rattling noise. I used to live just round the corner from here and it had a good reputation so not sure what’s happened.

We stayed before flying from Manchester on a 7am flight. All was good but as we’re going to our room at 8:30pm we saw a number of people arriving for a private function. Again no worries but when your family room is above the women’s toilets and adjacent to the dance floor it was a thought night. The party stopped at 1am and we got up at 4am setting us up lovely for our holiday. Would not recommend staying here if flying the next day. Great to be offered a different room on checkout the following morning and if they had known they wouldn’t have put us in that room but they knew we were in a family room with kids so why would you put a family here with a party running until 1am.

It was a lovely hotel, but the rooms needed updating. The air conditioning did not work and unfortunately the hotel is placed in a flight path. So airplanes were frequently flying over throughout the day/night.

room was tired with chipped enable on bath & missing floor tile. Blind at the window had a wooden pole which banged if the window was open. Good sound insulation for external noise given it's directly under the manchester airport flight path but check there's no parties as disco noise from inside was very annoying.

I have stayed at village hotels around the country and in my opinion this is the worst. It is directly on the flight path of Manchester Airport with flights passing overhead every few minutes. The rooms are dated and some rooms are directly above the gym which has loud music blaring Breakfast is very basic and of poor quality

Overall for the price; the property condition is as expected. However, what isn’t expected anywhere is the noise from the Gym which turns on at 8AM. We were in room 111, and when this starts at 8AM on a Sunday, it doesn’t stop. You cannot sleep in or relax, just pounding techno music. I’m not exaggerating when I say it sounds like you’re just next door.

Shocking. Booked 2 nights and work shifts. 6:30 am when ive been in bed 3 hours, Techno Zumba at full volume. 10:30, staff working down the corridor with no consideration and shouting to one another about their personal lives. 12 Mid day, maintenance starts on the bathroom either next to or above mine. Ended up checking out and not staying for the second night. Never again.

The hotel itself was of a good standard and the club room was a nice clean room. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food good. Thats the plus points. The negative the room although a club room didnt have air conditioning and was very hot as it was a hot night. Also the hotel is on the flight path to Manchester airport so jets were passing every 5/10 minutes until circa 11pm and then start again circa 5:30am. As i was there for a business meeting I feel more tired than i would have done if i had driven the 2+ hours it would have taken me from home.

I arrived at the hotel at 8pm to be told that my room had been relet and that the hotel was full. I had paid for the room in advance. Having just arrived back from a business trip in Belfast this was not acceptable. I had stayed in the hotel on the Thursday night and my car was paid till Sunday. The hotel never contacted me to advise they had relet my room and i arrive to find out. I am not familiar with the area, and as a single female traveler had to find alternative accommodation 42 miles away undertaking a dark and icy journey to the new hotel, over an hour away. The Village hotel didn’t seem bothered and blamed Hotels.com

Not a good experience, badly handled complaint by one of the hotel managers, I really do not recommend booking last minute to a place that has a bad attitude to not being able to shower as a guest in a hotel! If you have accessibility needs and require a chair in the shower, please find a more trustworthy hotel to ensure your needs are met and you have the right to clean yourself, as a paying guest in a hotel! Never again Village!

Ramat was incredible when checking in to this hotel. Smart, professional, courteous, generous and extremely helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience. I am already thinking of staying at this hotel again and the main reason for that is the way I was treated upon arrival. Thank you Ramat. The room is also very spacious and the bathroom a treat, especially the rainfall shower.

Really bad experience, hardly any staff about, did self check in and barely saw anyone, room was awful, weirdly layed out and mattress was really stained. There was also a party going on down stairs and the noise from it was awful. Tried the live chat as it said to do that as there is no phone in the room and ever got an answer

No staff at check in when I arrived. Tried to use self check in but when I got to my room the key card would not work finally found a member of staff to sort it out. Bedroom and bathroom looked very tired. Mould on ceiling in bathroom, seal on shower screen falling off, no soap in soap dispenser had to use shampoo. No mirror in bedroom at all scuffed paintwork. Room very warm. Paid £163 with no breakfast included expect much better for this price. Would not stay again.

Shower would not provide hot water in the morning, no time to complain as we had to leave soon. One of the party was accused of trying to steal breakfast, despite us paying for four when we booked. Three rooms booked, one with two breakfasts. I couldn’t get through to the employee that there were four meals ordered and paid for, but only three rooms. I had to push past and take a breakfast from the buffet, with a staff member saying “you haven’t paid”. This ruined the family breakfast we were hoping (and had paid) to enjoy.

Great staff from breakfast team, housekeeping (Kim went out of her way to get us into the room we needed), and front desk staff (Stanish, Rohats and Alexia). We normally stay at the HIE Runger Lane but chose the VH and glad we did. Was able to unpack to see our clothes rather than living out of the suit case for 12 days, loaned us extension cords to use for our CPAP Medical devices, and just a cheerful attitude from everyone all the time. If they didn't like their job you could've fooled me.

Difficult to check in using self serve with no staff visible for over 10 mins. No coffee on arrival due to Starbucks being closed and hotel coffee machine not having any milk. No information on where to find pool and if you missed your room number flash up on the self serve you had no idea where to go.

We were disappointed that there was only a buffet breakfast offered. We would have liked to order coffee and toast or something simple. Starbucks was convenient but pricey. Also surprised that we had to pay for parking while staying at your hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay, very close to the airport and a 5min walk to lovely Cheadle village. I had the luxury of having a pass to the full service gym in the basement and felt rejuvenated with a sauna and pool workout very morning. We did eat the breakfast, std fare and also one meal, the curry and the tuna melt, both decent. The bar does have the Sky Sports pkg so was good to watch some sport while having a beer. Quite a modern hotel, good sized rooms and we got a great deal on the booking. Initially thought the food on the menu was expensive but, when our order arrived, we realised we were paying for quality. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we revisited the area.

Beds a bit soft, but no chair in the room. They did bring a fan or it would've been unbearable. Limited power outlets and none at the bed, so got an extension cord for our power strip (brought from home). Door didn't lock. Food was good, but no food options before 8am on Sundays... difficult if you have an early flight! No takeaways allowed either.

Generally although comfortable stay, convenient for location. it was not my best experience at Village Hotel chain. The cost was not VFM. I had a club room and expected higher standard. Felt like I was in a budget hotel. Check-out was rushed.In other Village Hotel booking a club room made you feel special. Breakfast was average, hash brown were broken up before you touched them with serving spoon. Some of Bacon and sausages were pale and undercooked. Juices were not fresh tasted watered down and like cordial. Best thing was scrambled eggs. Overall breakfast buffet did not look attractive or appetising. Disappointing breakfast.

Started off ok, nice swim, room was alright not the best, then all went down hill shocking service no Sunday roast on a Sunday no Steak either only burgers or breaded chicken so ended up eating nothing, breakfast looked like a dog had eaten it first, apart from the pool nothing else is worth bothering with.

Staff lovely, helpful and friendly. Restaurant food great. Room a little tired and very warm! We could only open the window a few inches but this meant we heard lots of noise from below and the room was still very stuffy. Some lights and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. Beds and pillows not the most comfortable.
