A nice comfy hotel with good looking reception and dinning areas. I enjoyed my night there. Had breakfast in the morning and it was lovely. Only downside is I requested my receipt by email and left my details @ reception but didn’t receive it as promised.

We had a really warm, friendly welcome from the lady at the reception desk when we arrived. Our room was comfortable & clean. The rooms are big. There's not a hug amount if furniture in the rooms but it exactly as pictures show and funtional. The bar area was nice, very quiet but didn't bother us. We had a few games of Pool which was an unexpected nice touch. This hotel was everything I would expect for the money, if not more. Great location to walk to the Marina where we gad a lovely meal at the Bistro on the Quay!

There are some great Positives about Novotel Ipswich. It’s nicely situated with the town centre (and restaurants) a short walk one way and the waterfront a short walk away the other way. The staff in the hotel are friendly and reception was welcoming. Cannot comment on the food as didn’t partake. Breakfast if pre-booked was £15.95 pp. there are options nearby instead. We had a room on the car park side of the hotel which, whilst not a great view, was at least quiet. The opposite side is by the inner ring road and may be noisy. The car park has signs indicating that it’s £20 per 24h to park. If staying don’t take any notice of that and instead pay at Reception £7 for 24h. Didn’t see any cheaper alternatives nearby. Room comfortable enough but my feeling was that it’s a borderline 4* and probably a high 3* as services and additions were limited. I found the guest WiFi poor in the room (3rd floor) and the TV

Great location, walking distance to train station and downtown shopping/restaurants. The service was great and the breakfast was good. The hotel seems to be in the process of renovating. Our room was comfortable though the mattress was a bit hard for my taste. Slept very well though.

Paid for parking than got fined, parking was a nightmare spaces you had to climb out the window to get out, the fine added insult to what was a joke. otherwise ok bar closed early.

Found the room was a bit smelly on first entering it, as if someone had been smoking in the room before. Slept well. Parking was an issue as no spaces were available on arrival at the hotel, so I had to pay for parking on a nearby road/street.

Super super clean, helpful recycling facilities, comfortable room, thoughtful touches, modern bathroom. Really really happy - exceptionally good value for money, excellent customer service with the personal touch. Will definitely return. Excellent base from which to explore nearby Suffolk coast. Great position a very short walk (under 5 mins) from Ipswich waterfront/marina.

On arrival, we were given the wrong room. This was rectified however the room we were given had a terribly strong unpleasant smell. It came from the drainage. The hotel staff spray air freshener but this only masked the smell for a short anount of time. We were offered complimentary breakfast for our inconvenience. The size of our room was great and the staff did the best they could but overall the stay was very underwhelming. I will add that the staff at breakfast were particularly welcoming.

The quality was poor. An executive room was just a regular room. There was mold in the window. Staff was hard to come by and you end up waiting a while. The staff even messed up my food order. The drink order they tapped the keg dry, decided to replace it, and use the same half from the tapped keg glass to complete my order after stating it wasnt to quality and you cant have it. Only one elevator. No dog amenities and the information about dogs was unclear. You cant leave them alone in the room even if you assume liability and pay for a deposit.

Hotel is great if you’re not out on the side which it shares with a busy round about like I did, to their credit when I asked to be moved an was moved to the quite side it was great and I had a lovely sleep but I doubt I’d if slept on the other side.

The rooms were clean, large and modern with a great power shower. Bed was a bit firm for us and I don't know why hotel pillows are just so bad.liked the hotel, good value for money and would stay again if in the area.

Very modern, clean rooms, and nice atmosphere. Only problem was staff. Mostly lack of. Had to wait a while because no one was there for checkin. After 10-15 min other (friendly) staffmember checked us in. Other minor issue was taxis. Staff wil not order them for you. You have to do this yourself. Although its not a problem i never had to do this in any hotel i’ve been to.

Nice and central for ipswich, but not right in the centre about a 5 minute walk from the town centre, the waterfront, and the station . The staff were lovely. The gym was small, but clean and more than enough for a weekend stay. Would definitely use again.

The hotel is OK, it's owned by a cost cutting company. It has no character, it's purely functional. It is clean, the people working there are doing their best. The breakfast offering is appalling, just the cheapest, nastiest food substitutes, scrambled egg out of a pre-made bag and cheap nasty bread.
