We recently stayed in Room 9 and, whilst the room was clean and comfortable, it is definitely showing its age. The furniture appeared quite dated and didn't really match, which gave the room a tired feel overall. Our stay itself was pleasant, and I have no complaints regarding the service or the hotel staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and we experienced no issues during our visit. The main areas of the hotel were generally well presented and looked fine. My comments relate solely to the bedroom, which would benefit from some investment and updating. A refresh of the décor and furnishings would make a significant difference and bring the room more in line with modern expectations.

We paid a lot for a suite. The room was lovely. However, on arrival, we found somebody elses clothes in the wardrobe.. In the morning, we were very disappointed with the breakfast. There was no cooked breakfast options- it was just cereals / cold meats and the pastries / muffins were very dry. We wished we had gone out for breakfast instead. The worse thing though was that after we got home, the hotel rang to say that I had left my wallet & bank cards. I was shocked to be told that they had no facility to post it back to me. I had spent nearly £200 for one night but they couldn't find 3 or 4 pound to return my wallet!! Luckily, one member of staff said that she would post it to me herself on her day off, with her own money. The hotel needs to do better.
