Location is great, and having parking in Rye is a real plus. BUT ….. - no longer offering evening meal - a real downer for me - smell of bleach / cleaning products in bedroom and hall areas was unpleasant - poor TV reception. Kept going on and off. And when I asked at reception about this the staff member came 3 hrs later.

Really good spot if you are visiting Rye. Short walk to the old part of Rye,plentiful free parking. Nice room and very good service from the Lady at front desk. Has a Bar,serviced by said Lady,but no dinner restaurant..(while we were there) You can order in and the Hotel will provide warm plates etc;.........or,weather permitting ,walk across the river into Rye old town.

Hotel looked care worn in places. Needs a makeover. Staff polite. Easily found. Everything was Easily reached on foot for Rye. Breakfast was good but could have had a fruit option. Parking on site was good. Hotel sign advertises restaurant but is no longer a restaurant

Nicely situated with good view over a river inlet. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast - good quality sausage and bacon which sometimes lack in other hotels.Relaxing bar area and outside seating next to the inlet which was pleasant on the sunny day we were there.

The actual hotel wasn’t too bad but our bedroom was not good! We were given room 20 & it was horrible. It was filthy, there was thick dust all along the skirting boards, the shower was dirty inside the doors. The furniture was old & tired. There were nails hanging out of the walls. We walked past the room next door when we checked out & the door was wide open, we could see the room was in much better condition than ours was, the decor was better & the furniture was newer! We didn’t think we got Value for money at all.

About 5 minutes walk from Rye old town, markets, shops and restaurants. Hotel, although a little jaded round the edges decoration wise, was lovely and clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were a good size, comfortable beds and pillows and bathrooms very clean. All public areas were clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. Good bar with an area outside with seating overlooking the river. And, breakfast was wonderful and many options. Would stay here again if down in Rye overnight.

Our room was up in the eaves with 1 small velux window and no window in the bathroom and it was 28 degs. We had to keep our door open to the corridor and there was a fire exit door open down the corridor we got a through draft but obviously that wasn't private having our door open. You had 1 person on reception and after waiting for someone to come to the bar after 10 mins I went to the reception and the lady said oh that's me , I'm the only one here and doing the reception and bar . The breakfast table was very limited , cooked breakfast ok but no croissants etc just toast, cereal and apples and bananas.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel and was ideal and affordable for our 1 night stay.Staff we’re all very friendly and breakfast was of a reasonable standard and a good variety.The superior room had a very comfortable bed,bathroom is a little dated but as previously stated served a purpose.Not the best outlook from the bedroom window but again wasn’t there for the views.

Excellent customer service from the lovely lady at reception! Breakfast was great- continental with the option to order a hot meal too (the scrambled eggs on toast was delicious). We had an early train booked for our checkout day however the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast which we really appreciated. Room spacious and clean - we’d absolutely return!

Well presented, decent sized room overlooking Rye Yacht moorings. Comfortable bed and good range of TV channels. Generous tea / coffee / milk provision in room. Good range of continental and cooked options at breakfast - very tasty. Easy walk into town for a range of restaurants for evening dining. Friendly and helpful staff.

Voor 1 nacht een prima verblijf. Fijne accommodatie met vriendelijk personeel. Badkamer wat gedateerd. Met het warme weer van de afgelopen dagen zou een airco prettig zijn, Gelukkig wel een ventilator aanwezig. Goede bedden. Ontbijt met keuzemenu Engels ontbijt, heerlijk!
