Really friendly welcome with Liz on reception, super helpful and accommodating. Rooms very clean, bed really comfy, great size and good size bathroom. Only negatives I think are, although there is a light near the door and bedside lamps, there isn't a 'main' light so the room was a bit dim in the morning and the coffee at breakfast wasn't very hot but these are very minor ... I really liked the fact that your cooked breakfast order was taken at your table and cooked to order. Maybe this is self serve when busier as there is an area for this. We had lunch in the afternoon, this was lush. I had 3 for £12 small plates, the spicy chicken goujons, plant based chilli and corn ribs. Absolutely gorgeous, and the spicy dip was so nice. My husband and Mum had the burger which they enjoyed. Service was quick and friendly. All in all we had a great stay, and would definitely stay again.

Despite the outer exterior looking a little old and dated, we were greeted to a great room. Spacious and very clean. Check in was very efficient and the staff was welcoming. The room itself was a welcoming space, although the bed was a little too firm for my personal liking. I was a bit concerned when I arrived, as it looked like a motel with access to rooms from the outside. Once inside, though, the room was nice, very clean and had everything I would want. I was on the ground floor, and the window, looking out onto trees, wouldn’t lock so that was a concern as a single female. Breakfast was decent. The staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful. The one thing I must mention, though, is the lack of accessibility. I am disabled, and they were able to give me a ground floor room, which is good as there are no lifts. But the bathtub was very high and I wasn’t able to step into it so couldn’t shower. I don’t know whether there is a more accessible room if you ask, but there is nothing on their website about this. To go to breakfast, you have to enter the pub from a back door, which does not have ramp access so requires going up steps. The front entrance to the pub was locked since they don’t open until 11am. If I had asked they probably would have let me in that way, but walking around to the front of the pub for access is not ideal. To sum up, this is a very nice budget hotel, but not ideal from an accessibility perspective. If accessibility wasn’t an issue for me, this would be a five star review.

The room is dated but the bed and pillows were comfortable. It needs better lighting in the room as it is very dull and un inviting plus the desk lamp was not working. With the design of all rooms you do feel like you are staying at a Butlins site. The evening meal in the pub was very good but the breakfast was acceptable but needed to be hotter I stayed one night which is fine but wouldn’t want to stay longer

Great room, very very comfortable bed which was huge! The refurb has been done really nicely. I absolutely love the toiletries that are included. It’s so nice to see eco friendly vegan toiletries and they are really nice to use too. My hair can be fussy but this stuff was fab and left my hair really soft. Be great if there were vegan milks as well but I know that’s not something that ever gets done anywhere other than all vegan places. My very teeny tiny gripe was that the loo seat could do with tightening up but that’s the only fault I could find and is me being very very nit picky. I used the pub several times and that was amazing. Great staff, great service, great food. Most definitely a place I’d stay again without hesitation.

Really friendly welcome with Liz on reception, super helpful and accommodating. Rooms very clean, bed really comfy, great size and good size bathroom. Only negatives I think are, although there is a light near the door and bedside lamps, there isn't a 'main' light so the room was a bit dim in the morning and the coffee at breakfast wasn't very hot but these are very minor ... I really liked the fact that your cooked breakfast order was taken at your table and cooked to order. Maybe this is self serve when busier as there is an area for this. We had lunch in the afternoon, this was lush. I had 3 for £12 small plates, the spicy chicken goujons, plant based chilli and corn ribs. Absolutely gorgeous, and the spicy dip was so nice. My husband and Mum had the burger which they enjoyed. Service was quick and friendly. All in all we had a great stay, and would definitely stay again.

Despite the outer exterior looking a little old and dated, we were greeted to a great room. Spacious and very clean. Check in was very efficient and the staff was welcoming. The room itself was a welcoming space, although the bed was a little too firm for my personal liking. The bathroom was clean, although the water pressure was a little low causing a slow running shower. Breakfast was booked with he stay, and the staff were very welcoming as we entered to restaurant. The buffet breakfast offered a good selection and there was a cooked food option too. The only downside was the coffee, was an instant coffee option, rather than a machine. Overall, a good experience and would stay again.

Great room, very very comfortable bed which was huge! The refurb has been done really nicely. I absolutely love the toiletries that are included. It’s so nice to see eco friendly vegan toiletries and they are really nice to use too. My hair can be fussy but this stuff was fab and left my hair really soft. Be great if there were vegan milks as well but I know that’s not something that ever gets done anywhere other than all vegan places. My very teeny tiny gripe was that the loo seat could do with tightening up but that’s the only fault I could find and is me being very very nit picky. I used the pub several times and that was amazing. Great staff, great service, great food. Most definitely a place I’d stay again without hesitation.

The room is dated but the bed and pillows were comfortable. It needs better lighting in the room as it is very dull and un inviting plus the desk lamp was not working. With the design of all rooms you do feel like you are staying at a Butlins site. The evening meal in the pub was very good but the breakfast was acceptable but needed to be hotter I stayed one night which is fine but wouldn’t want to stay longer

Checked in around 8pm, car park was busy but we got a space. Room was ok but more suited to travelling workers/tradesmen which is evident by the amount of vans in the car park. Decor could do with tidying but room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Overall value for money you can’t fault it for a short stay.

The staff was very helpful check in was very easy . Plenty of car parking. The restaurant was very nice and the food was great.The room was clean but looking a bit tired. The bed was very comfortable. The lady in reception, the bar staff and the room maids all when above and beyond to make our two night stay very welcoming.
