We stayed at the Abbey Hotel for 4 days over the May bank holiday ,first time at the hotel .The staff were all friendly . The hotel lounges were large with comfy arm chairs and sofas with a bar area. We stayed in a standard double room 208. The bed was perfect ,the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a hotel for a good night sleep. The breakfast was included and we had a full cooked English breakfast ,it is self service and staggered times so you are not kept waiting. The food was good. There is a restaurant with a set menu . They no longer serve Sunday Roast but there is other meals on offer We enjoyed the location as it was central to the town , next to the priory church and shops, There are plenty of cafes and pubs nearby and a Wetherspoons up the road for very good value for food and drinks. There were a few very minor issues during our stay ,the hotel and rooms are really clean , beautiful carpets, and well decorated , the bedroom furniture in our room was very tired looking which let it down. The bathroom was good with a fantastic shower and lovely hot water. The tv didn’t always switch channels ,could have been the remote but after my husband retuned the tv it worked better. The parking is free ,the spaces are tight in the car park ,there are over hanging trees which need cutting back as leaves and pigeon poo cover your car and poo even ended up inside our car on the back seat. However overall the hotel was good quality and would stay again.

Very well situated hotel in the heart of Malvern. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. We opted for one of the cheaper rooms and so did not have a view, but the room itself was absolutely fine and was good value. We have found that more and more hotels are charging for parking, so the free parking here was very welcome.

2nd stay and paid extra for a “double executive “. Word is dissppoonted , expecting a spacious room with a decent view . Instead got a dated room , view of a flat roof , 1980s style hair dryer , previous stay had a 70s stained yellow dryer ,worn brass door handles with loose fitment handles , dated curtains and mis match carpets along corridors . Breakfast is well presented and good choice . Great location to town but parking at hotel sucks when a function is on , non resistants visiting taking up all the spaces and double parking . In a nut shell , lovely looking hotel but dated interior and fittings needs upgrading .

The hotel was very nice, in an excellent location. The room was comfy, although no aircon so got very hot as I stayed in a heatwave. Breakfast had a good range and the bar area is very nice for the evening.

What a lovely hotel, with an incredible view of The Priory church, adjacent to the hotel. and the museum, which was the priory gatehouse. We upgraded to a king-size room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size. Free water and teas/coffee. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining areas/bar were ambient with plenty of comfortable seating. Great food and a variety of breakfast to choose from. Loved the restaurant for breakfast too. It was so convenient to be based in the town with an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Convenient for those wanting to walk the hills. We will definitely stay again.

I could not check-in using the electronic link I was sent. The check-in staff were very good, but there was a long wait at the bar on Saturday evening as there was no one staffing it, when he did arrive there were no apologies given. There were some parts of the hotel which seemed a little tired, the bathroom we had and the carpets in the corridors and on the stairs in particular.

Very dated interiors, weak shower pressure (almost dribbling), no shower gel (shower gel dispenser empty, had not been checked by cleaners), room was stifling hot but thankfully there was a fan in the room. Breakfast was mediocre at best. We travel to Malvern fairly frequently and will not be revisiting this establishment

The hotel is well located, with incredible views from our room. The food was good, and the room was clean and well maintained albeit v dated. Disappointed that it wasn’t the greatest dog friendly hotel ever. Dogs not allowed at breakfast, and nothing specific provided (like a bed or bowls etc.) That said, I would stay again for th3 location in Malvern, which is such a beautiful place

We had to move rooms as our bedding was dirty in the first room. The room we were moved to was considerably smaller and was very hot and uncomfortable (even with a fan in the room). Overall place looked tired. Breakfast was good and staff were ok but surprised to be given a worse room when we changed because it wasn’t clean!

Very disappointing. Cost of the room over £250.00 per night. Mould in bathroom, dispenser dirty. Decor in reception rooms very dated and depressing. Expected waitress service for breakfast, food was good but coffee/tea machines! No fresh coffee tea. Overall would not recommend and value for money absolutely not.

My room is very dated and although I kept both windows open all the time it had a faint smell of mould. There were coffee stains on the radiator, the cups looked a little stained, the windows were dirty and the room generally didn’t look clean. The curtains/cushons/bed throw look old and as they hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. The bathroom is very dated and I could not regulate the hot/cold water flow in the shower. Also to be noted that there is no air conditioning in the room although a fan is provided. The sleeping experience wasn’t particularly positive, probably because the duvet is syntetic. The common areas in the hotel looked better but very dated. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was ok.

Beautiful hotel, was a bit disappointed not to be in the old building, for the price we paid. No air conditioning, which due to the extremely hot weather, (not the hotels fault), made sleeping difficult as the room was too hot.

We had a huge comfortable bed which was great. Bedding was lovely and fresh and clean. Our room faced a courtyard backing into a lively beer garden which was noisy so not a great place to get an early night. The free breakfast was not really worth bothering with though sadly as the ingredients were not great. The staff were all great.

Very nice hotel, stayed ther 3rd time. Decided to go for a premium room this time, paid significantly more for a premium room but couldn’t say what was premium about it, same size as standard room, bathroom even smaller, no aircon or even fan, no mini fridge, total rip off to charge much more for same standard like normal room. So next time just don’t bother and take standard room as hotel itself is really nice and perfect location

The property looked lovely but the room only had one window which was on a security latch and only able to open 4 inches. No air conditioning was like a sauna and not able to sleep. The bar/waiter had a dreadful cough. Hope he didn't have covid. Very disappointing stay

Room was good though the view was just the side road entrance to the car park. Hotel staff all very friendly and the public areas had a good ambiance. Breakfast was excellent. Our problems were with the comfort levels in the room. There were 8 pillows in our room but all with the same degree of firmness, all were extremely firm with no give at all. The result was like sleeping on a brick, one was not enough but two was way too high, no amount of pummeling affected this. When we stayed it was very warm, the room definitely needs air conditioning. A fan is available in the room though it is not really adequate. The receptionist informed us that they cannot get air conditioning because it is a listed building, a quick check on Google lets you know it is possible. Either she didn’t know and was making it up or else that is the official line. Whichever way you look at it, it is still lying to your guests and we didn’t appreciate that. Regardless of the two negative comments we would still stay here again but maybe take our own pillows next time.

We had the Elgar suite which was large with a huge bed tub chairs tv complimentary drinks. The bathroom had a bath with shower over. Check in very quick .Staff very friendly . The buffet breakfast was lovely with big choice. The cooked breakfast was extremely good. We stayed two nights and really pleased with room and service we will visit again.

Everything was lovely, although the shower was very old and the water pressure poor. Otherwise the room was lovely. The 1st room we were allocated wasn't ready but they'd already sent us up, so we had to go back down and get a new room. They were very apologetic and it was fine.

Staff and service were very good. At very short notice and without a booking we were found a table and dining for 5 people in the very busy restaurant so allowing us to have an evening meal and get to a show at the local theatre. Top marks. Having been prompted to reserve a table for breakfast on Sunday morning we turned up at our reservation time only to be told that there were no tables available. What is the point of making a reservation if it cannot be honoured? I took this up with the receptionist when checking out who simply said that some people will turn up for breakfast without making a booking. I’d better not record my response to that explanation.

I could not check-in using the electronic link I was sent. The check-in staff were very good, but there was a long wait at the bar on Saturday evening as there was no one staffing it, when he did arrive there were no apologies given. There were some parts of the hotel which seemed a little tired, the bathroom we had and the carpets in the corridors and on the stairs in particular.

The Abbey Hotel was ideally placed for our theatre visit and close to the shops we wanted to visit. Access to the Worcester Beacon and the superb views is close by, the station is within walking distance through a lovely park and there are many independent cafes to relax in.

Beautiful setting and hotel - enjoyed our second stay here, this time with some of our family. Lovely big room and fab breakfast. Great position for the quaint town with lots of bars and restaurants as well as for walking in the hills.

What a lovely hotel, with an incredible view of The Priory church, adjacent to the hotel. and the museum, which was the priory gatehouse. We upgraded to a king-size room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size. Free water and teas/coffee. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining areas/bar were ambient with plenty of comfortable seating. Great food and a variety of breakfast to choose from. Loved the restaurant for breakfast too. It was so convenient to be based in the town with an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Convenient for those wanting to walk the hills. We will definitely stay again.

Of course the older properties you need to know about on rooms and bedrooms etc But the area in Malvern is excellent and minute walk to cafe etc We meet up there as central U.K. and walked everywhere up the Malvern Hills. Very easy to walk thou Breakfast and evening food in abbey is good for us all. Then Sunday went to abbey cathedral Relaxing weekend and place to stay

Very much liked the Olde Worlde aspect of the hotel. Room and bed were comfortable. Hotel plumbing could benefit from an upgrade. The shower and bath were difficult to operate and the water was very slow running. However, water into the hand basin was fine. We felt the menu for evening meals wasn't very inspiring. The breakfast buffet was good and we were able to order gluten-free options including bread. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend.

Lovely building in a great position. The room was clean and decent & the beds were extremely comfortable. We were a bit disappointed by breakfast however. For the room price we hoped for nicer than the bog standard buffet fry up & toast machine.

Very disappointing. Cost of the room over £250.00 per night. Mould in bathroom, dispenser dirty. Decor in reception rooms very dated and depressing. Bolting windows during a heatwave and suppling a very weak fan that just moved hot air around meant we moved hotels. Breakfast was poor, the cooked eggs were congealed and hard even when I requested a freshly cooked one. Clean, comfortable, lovely room. Staff really helpful and no ask was too small. Breakfast was all inclusive and plenty of choice. A few cocktails on the menu would have been great but the variety of other beverages was absolutely fine. We will definitely return.
