Stayed at the de Havelet for 5 nights. From the moment we arrived the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and well appointed and the bedroom had aircon. The swimming pool and spa area was very clean and a nice area to relax after a days sightseeing. The restaurant food was of a good standard and all the staff were helpful.

A lovely hotel, super clean room. Spa with sauna, steam and heated pool was perfect. The restaurant next door (also used for breakfast) was excellent too and the courtyard for alfresco drinks was a great little sun trap. A special thanks to all the staff in the hotel and next door in the Copenhagen restaurant who where friendly & helpful. The hotel is on a hill which may not suit some with motility issues. Although there is a shuttle bus to the harbour area.

Beautiful hotel. Our room was very warm and the air con didnt work very well but there was a plug in fan which helped. The small pool and spa area is nice. Only downside is the very steep hill between hotel and the port area. There is a shuttle a few times a day but it may not be a suitable hotel for people with mobility issues.

Pleasantly surprised by the Hotel de Havelet. We went for an upgraded room and were very pleased we did. The air-conditioner was a welcome treat for the hot summer nights. We weren't expecting a pool and hot tub either which was a nice treat at the end of the day!

The bed was large and comfortable, so we were very pleased with our room. We also love dining in the Copenhagen restaurant where there is so much choice.

This hotel is excellent. All the staff are conscientious, hard working and extremely pleasant. We would particularly like to commend Joana on reception who went above and beyond to help us. Attila ,the restaurant manager and his team- Pitchie, Stephanie, Marian and Alessia. They were all very friendly and made our stay most enjoyable.The house keeping team were also excellent and so was the handy man who helped solve a problem for us.We thoroughly enjoyed all the lovely breakfasts we had there and the evening meals, The breakfast spread is extremely good and the cooked breakfasts were all of a consistently high standard. The evening menu/meals were also very good. We enjoyed Mick's complimentary bus tour of the island on Tuesday afternoon and would thoroughly recommend booking a place on that as it gives a nice overview of the island and helped us decide where we wanted to explore later in the week. The only thing we didn't like quite so much was the VERY steep hill the hotel is on. We found a slightly gentler walk down to St. Peter's port through the narrow quaint lanes but after a couple of attempts to walk back up we opted for local taxis. The taxi rank is near the roundabout with the flags on it. The charges were between £5 and £7 which we thought was a small price to pay.

Fridge, air con, daily fruit, bath & shower, huge bed, big room with settee, sockets aplenty, no outside corridor, all made for a comfortable stay. The one requested repair was done within the hour. Staff were in a league of their own, falling over to be helpful.

The staff were lovely and went the extra mile. We had a lot of noise in our room and asked to be moved - the receptionist was very understanding and we were moved to a lovely , quiet room at the back of the hotel and also found a bottle of Prosecco and. Strawberries with an apology note - couldn’t have asked for more

The staff were lovely and went the extra mile. There’s a reason the Hotel de Havelet is award winning. From reception to the room, food and breakfast were amazing. Couldn’t fault a single thing with Hotel de Havelet. Every member of staff was amazing. The food is always awesome. Views over the bay are breathtaking. Hotel de Havelet will make your visit to Guernsey memorable.

Little bit disappointing that when I booked wasn’t informed of the building work at the hotel. Also some building work being carried out behind the hotel that was slightly more irritating due to early starts
