Manchester Airport Stanley Hotel by Belvilla

Restaurant and bar closed , not good when traveled over 3 hours , check in fast , gentleman on desk didn’t know where the nearest restaurant / bar was not much help , hotel rooms clean and comfortable

The way that the hotel is advertised is not actually what you get. It was very cheap to book a room for a night and it was clean, we slept well and in a nice quiet area. However, there is no bar, no restaurant and it is quite run down. It looks like it was turned over to another owner and they are struggling to run the hotel the way they want to. There was only one person on duty at the front desk; the lift was not working; the room was quite meagre. There is a pervasive smell of mildew in the reception. Also, do not expect an airport shuttle - you will need to get an Uber between £15-25 to the airport. Overall, perfectly serviceable for a single night stay before your flight.

Room was clean, TV, tea and coffee making facilities fine. It's a shame that hotel has no bar or restaurant. Hopefully they will reopen these soon

The staff were so lovely, welcoming, and helpful on arrival. The hotel has recently gone under renovation, the hallways are still a bit retro but the rooms are updated and extemely spacious, perfect if you need to repack a suitcase before flying! The bed was Huge and very comfy, and the bathroom was lovely. The towels were actually a decent size too. I requested a room with a bath and my request was fulfilled . The only thing i suggest is calling ahead to ask about parking charges. To the hotel - if you are a guest of the hotel parking really should be complimentary or at least a discounted rate. The car park could also do with some lighting as it is very dark, especially in winter months.

Booked and got a call shortly after saying no kitchen during my stay. The day of my arrival I got a call stating reception would be closed in 30 minutes and my room key would be left on the desk. Arrived and the property is mid renovation, I'm booked in on floor 3, with a suitcase etc to walk up as no lift. A group of young girls had got locked out of their room, and no staff there to help them, leaving them vulnerable! The car park is being used for airport parking, and in the Unlit carpark you connot see the parking organisation signs for registering to park - none in reception either. I would have cancelled aftwr knowing about no kitchen, but it was a non cancellation booking (no choice and not clear!) AVOID

Hotel is tired and in need of a revamp. Bed was large and comfy. Bathroom had everything you needed. Fire alarm went off twice during the night for no apparent reason which obviously disturbed our sleep.

Very poor condition no food or bar available

Watch out for the £15 parking charge, the wifi was poor but that could have been where is was.

Very basic, no bar, no restaurant, looked run down. Fire slarms kept going off. Wont ever go again.

Rooms were supposed to be ready by 3pm, got there at 4:30pm and the rooms weren’t ready despite having a booking and we were not given an estimated time as to when they would be available. The reception area stinks. The room was dirty; hair in the bed; tape under the bathroom door causing us to get stuck having to pull tape off to get out; glasses in the room were unclean; says free wifi in every room but had no internet or service at all. 24 hour reception yet no one at the desk when leaving. We found receptionist unhelpful and unapologetic upon arrival.

Hotel smelt damp. Threadbare carpets and my room hadn't been cleaned properly. Stained bed sheets and clearly hadnt been vacuumed for some time as there were lots of 'stuff' underfoot.

Twin room was very clean, plenty of storage space and plugs for our 3 phone/watch chargers. Comfy beds, friendly engaging receptionist

No hot water and unclean. Room was nearly given away too

I could not stay in this hotel had to walk away and stay and get another hotel. The lobby was smelly with mould, paint peeling off the walls. Do not stay here it’s not fit for purpose

Everything was run down

The hotel was in a poor state and neglected. It was unprofessionally managed. The lift was not in use so access to rooms was extremely compromised. The room was tatty, dusty behind bedside tables and holes and nails in the walls with missing pictures. There was no remote for the tv but one was provided when asked for at the main desk. The bathroom had two dead flies on the bath, no toilet roll and an unemptied bin with used sanitary products in it! This was reported to management but nothing done at the time. We had to go to the main desk for toilet roll - no phones in the room or means of communication with the reception. There was a strong smell of weed in the corridors at times. This was a last minute emergency booking late evening. The bedding was clean and fresh on the surface of things so we stayed for a minimum amount of time. We reported the issues to the staff at reception who wrote them down and we suggested they look at the rota of cleaning staff who were responsible for room 418. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The first room I was given hadn’t been cleaned and still had someone’s rubbish left on surfaces. The second room was better. However, dusty surfaces. People smoking weed in other rooms which came through the bathroom ventilation. Comfortable bed.

No spoon for making drinks, no hairdryer, no coat hangers. Bedding & towels were clean but room was very dirty, skirting boards, headboard etc were covered in thick dust and drink stains on walls and skirting board, nothing a good clean wouldn’t rectify as reception area lured you into a false sense as the rooms did not reflect and not a Hallmark hotel as pictures although noting it did not say hallmark on the description so probably used an old photo.

Got to the hotel at 4:30pm got given a room that hadn’t even been cleaned even though check in was at 3pm all whilst having to carry a 22kg suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. Asked the cleaner how long the wait would be for the room and she said 20 minutes, which I wasn’t happy about after travelling for 4 hours and as stated before the room should of been ready at 3pm. Carried the suitcase back down to the reception where the man on the desk told me the room was ready and I had to explain that it wasn’t, he then made us wait in the lobby and came back less than 5 minutes later telling me it was now ready, I wasn’t happy as I knew it hadn’t been cleaned properly. I asked him to change my room, after a bit of back of fourth we got a new room. This room wasn’t very clean and the shower didn’t even work. Spoke to the man on the desk again and asked for another new room. He then came back and tried to give me the same room he tried giving me the first time which still wasn’t cleaned. Again after a bit of back and fourth, he changed our room and we had to wait again for it to be cleaned. Finally we had a room but I was not happy. Absolutely awful experience and definitely would never return or recommend to anyone. The staff weren’t really bothered and took us far too long to finally get a room.

First given room on 3rd floor. Elevator didn't work so had to use stairs. Returned to reception and asked for other room. Allocated room on 2nd floor. No mugs to use with tea and coffee making facilities. Too tired to go back down to reception so used a glass.

The grounds and the rest of the hotel were in need of refubishment and care. There was no resturant which i new beforehand which turned out to be a problem for me (no cafes open Sunday morning and no eating places locally Saturday evening) but that was my fault. It would be helpful to know that when booking. The receptionist was on his 2nd day so was unable to have any local info.

The hotel is very tired, as soon as you walk through the doors, there is a strong unpleasant smell. It needs a complete makeover Our room was large but very cold.

*****AVOID ***** After waiting for 25 minutes, someone eventually attended the reception desk. Then waited another 25 mins while they checked my room was cleaned.... At 10pm! Heating was on full with no way if turning it off. Even with windows open it was too hot to sleep (-3 outside) TV in the room, but no remote, kettle in the room, but no cups, tea, coffee or anything else. Bathroom was very dirty, carpet hadn't been vacuumed, plug sockets hanging off the wall, and the manager, who was pretending not to be the manager told me "the manager had dismissed all staff." This place is finished. The place smells of cigarette smoke and is grimey throughout. And I will be asking for a refund before they run out of money.

Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious & everything worked. I feel the hotel is in need of a little refreshing. Very good value for money for our overnight stay close to Manchester Airport.

On arrival we thought we had booked the wrong hotel as it looked closed as there was a lot of fencing and debris outside the hotel. The receptionist was very welcoming and said the hotel was just opening after a period of closure and asylum residents. There was no bar or restaurant or facilities. We also paid £5 for car park as advertised but were then told we did not need to pay. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom dirty and had a leak. To be honest the hotel should not be selling rooms yet.

I booked this hotel on 1 December for a stay on 15 December. Despite the listing stating that check-in was available at any time, when we arrived at around 9–10 pm we were told there was no room available for us. The reception staff stated that our booking had been cancelled and that I should have received a notification. This did not happen. I received no email, message, or notification of any cancellation. We were then informed that due to an electricity issue the hotel could not accommodate us and were instructed to rebook another hotel ourselves via Expedia, despite the late hour. Only after insisting on speaking to a manager were we offered a room with electricity, although it had no working shower. At that point, finding alternative accommodation was not realistic, leaving us with no real choice. We paid in full for a confirmed booking yet the hotel failed to provide the agreed accommodation and attempted to shift responsibility onto the guest. The service was unprofessional and the handling of the situation was unacceptable. I would strongly advise others not to stay at this hotel.

The hotel was very basic, room only no other facilities. But the reception staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, they really made up for the shortfall of amenities. Rooms were nice and clean, beds were very comfy. For the price it is good value.

Very close to Manchester International Airport - handy for morning flights from the airport. No complaints about the hotel, though better signage to the tucked-away hotel would help.

Great price hotel, shame the taxi from the airport cost £27 for a 9 miles trip.

Good room good location, nothing not to like really

A quick overnight, the roof was clean, lovely super king bed and hot shower. It was perfect for a £10 taxi to the airport. No complaints what so ever.

The ground floor rooms were fine, clean and showed signs of being refubished. However there were issues. I had to ask for tea bags and there was no water in the hot tap of the shower. The grounds and the rest of the hotel were in need of refubishment and care. There was no resturant which i new beforehand which turned out to be a problem for me (no cafes open Sunday morning and no eating places locally Saturday evening) but that was my fault. It would be helpful to know that when booking. The receptionist was on his 2nd day so was unable to have any local info.

Anna was helpful and checking in and out was a breeze. The room was clean and location is good.

Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious & everything worked. I feel the hotel is in need of a little refreshing. Very good value for money for our overnight stay close to Manchester Airport.

Myself and my family stayed here for a week . Two adults 2 young kids. The Rooms were warm clean and the bathroom too. Personally I think it’s a great base for exploring the area . The hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable especially the young chap and lady on the reception lovely people . Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Lidt som at være med i “The Shining” - alt på hotellet er i princippet flot og lækkert, men der var bare dødt. Køkkenet er ikke længere åbent, ligesom der ikke var andet end lidt rengøring og en enkelt receptionist (der i øvrigt var ganske sød)

The hotel room I was staying in looked run down and in need of some work. There were hairs in the bath, no food options available at the hotel seems below average expectations. I don't think it's right to charge customers who aren't using the car park for flights to park their cars at the hotel.
