Staff very friendly. Accommodation great as facilities brilliant. Lovely pool, lawn tennis courts, table tennis, putting, beautiful gardens, lovely outdoor patio, had gym but never went, Felt the dinning area seating could be improved but am aware lots of upgrading being done. Great choice at breakfast and food lovely. Service great. We had 2 dogs and being on ground floor with door outside was perfect.

On arrival to the property on Tuesday 4th August in the afternoon, I went up to reception to be met with a sulky unhelpful Middle aged woman, I was asking her questions about electric charging point, as I was still chatting to her, she answered the phone!! I have never met such a rude reception staff member! Hannah who was on reception later on was wonderful, she restored my faith that I’d made this booking, when I chatted to her later about pool and car charger. I injured my toe really badly in room “33” which was the room we were staying in, I told the miserable middle aged mousy receptionist to log injury in accident book, she didn’t seem to know if there was one!! Anyway we were leaving by then as this was the Thursday. Regarding breakfast, flies on fruit on the table where they were set out, tea urn stopped working, so first pot of tea was Luke warm, couldn’t do a second pot!… Restaurant menu for evening meals very limited, so we ate out at wonderful Italian in Keswick and newly opened fantastic South Indian restaurant. The bar tender was closing bar at 21:50 on the Thursday, when my husband asked for a pint of Ale, he tutted at my husband, said he was closing!!! My husband managed to get two pints, but by 22:15, the bar was closed!! Positives at hotel…. The gardens are pretty. Hannah on reception is lovely Negatives The miserable mousy middle aged receptionist (I didn’t take her name) as I don’t tend to write bad reviews Would I stay in hotel again? No!

Lovely hotel, massive room, excellent friendly staff, the only slight downfall was every time someone was walking along the corridor upstairs it sounded like a herd of elephants was about to come through the ceiling but it wouldn't stop me stating again.

The room was very clean and had just been renovated, making it feel much more comfortable. The front desk staff were not particularly friendly and could improve their customer service. However, the restaurant staff provided excellent service and deserve recognition. The swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi facilities were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Lovely place, clean, some maintenance happening, but didn't disturb our 5 days. Breakfast had plenty choices including Eggs Benedict or Eggs Royale, restaurant, lovely food. Staff very friendly and helpful. 20min drive from Keswick, which was handy for more restauarants, bars and the boat trip was brilliant. Tennis Court, mini golf a bonus on-site and swimming pool was good size and good to cool down as weather was hot for our trip. Being Scottish, it would be nice to have bar open a bit later, overall stay was excellent, definitely would visit again.
