The cleaning staff was very loud in the morning - before 7am when a lot of folks were still sleeping. Also the elevator to the parking garage was out of service for the three days we were there which meant walking a block outside - they should let people know that when they book in the event they have mobility issues.

I parked in the garage and did not get a ticket to get in due to the printer being out of paper. So the attendant let me in the garage without a receipt. I had to get the car out to get something within 10 minutes of checking in and I was not able because I needed a receipt. The hotel charged me $25 to get out with a parking pass while the garage charges $16. The parking shoule be complementary and it’s a total sham to charge for parking.

I use a mobility scooter and found my accessible room excellent. I have stayed in dozens of accessible rooms and this was well laid out with lots of space, outlets at the right height, bed not too high, roll in shower that drained well. The only reason I could not give this an excellent was that I wanted to use the pool and the lift was broken, with no repair scheduled.

Clean and efficient, great affordable location near Northwestern campus and many shops and restaurants. The gym and hot tub were great, but the pool is pretty small. Breakfast was also very good. Would overall recommend this hotel.

Rooms are good, industry standard. Clean rooms, great location and nice staff. Had breakfast buffet for $16 all you can eat and the food was really good. Complaints: broken ice machine on our floor, hot tub sucks - no jets so it was like sitting in a hot bath. Pool is ok - kind of small. Parking is good $18 per night. Very walkable area!

Rooms were well appointed and clean. Bathrooms simple but nice. TV kept glitching but maybe the weather. Great hotel to access Northwestern. Gym was good size & benefit of Peleton bike. Good cardio and weights.

`The room wasn't especially clean. I had to call the front desk because there were dead bugs in the bed. There was also someone else's long black hair in the shower. I wouldn't stay again. I also felt the front desk was understaffed, causing a long wait.

Hotel was grubby and had an odd musty smell, parking is a public lot that is relatively expensive. Furniture in the room was worn and was probably the source of the smell in the room. Some of the lights were non functional. Really glad I was only staying for one night.

A sour smell on my floor and my room, like wet laundry that sat too long. Loud ac units that cycled on and off that rendered the room either ice cold or smarmy hot. A humid sticky feel to the entire place. Would not recommend

The hotel uses an extreme amount of scent machines all over the hotel. There’s a strong smell starting in the lobby. There’s also a scent machine on each floor in front of the elevator. The scents are also noticeable in the room. If you are sensitive to scents/smells/air fresheners, avoid this hotel

Room door broken and did not latch. Slow and bouncy elevators. No free breakfast. No free parking. Rat feces on chairs in outdoor lounge area by the pool. Less than friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was sizable and the beds were comfortable but unfortunately the room, especially the bathroom, smelled like feet. The air conditioning was slightly over- or underpowered too. The front desk attendant was one of the nicest, friendliest women ever. Kudos to her! And Toni in the restaurant was extremely friendly as well. The food there was fine, average. Hotel is a great location for visiting Evanston/Northwestern.

Pretty hotel lobby and common areas. Beds weren’t new or pillow top but fairly comfortable. Lighting wasn’t the best in the room (I did not mind but husband sure did) Zero overhead lights, 1 small floor lamp in living area, with a small desk light on desk in living area, 2 bedside reading lights hooked to headboard, 1 small floor lamp on one side of bed and a lighted mirror in bathroom. (I know thats enough about lighting but it can matter to some people with vision issues). Luckily we had huge windows we could see out of these easily since we had a Jr. Suite. Buffet breakfast was decent, we could always find something for breakfast which was all we were concerned with. Wait staff at restaurant was very nice. Front desk staff and maids were all very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it for other travelers. We didn’t not use weight room or swimming pool so can’t give highlights on these. We are 66 yo female/69 yo male travelers for your reference regarding hotel review. Happy Travels!!

Solo trip was great.Bed could be a little softer and pillows could be a little thicker had to stack 3 up and still wasn't enough so I had to use my arm and had to put forth pillow under my waist because the bed was too hard but other than that everything else about the room and hotel was great

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. When I checked in I was told they only had a room with 1 king because the hotel was over sold. I don't think the hotel understands how reserving rooms works.

It was a nightmare!!! I got there and tried to check in but they said I have to go other hotel because of overbooking late at night!! I had to pay lift more than 20 dollars back and forth but they did not refund it!! Its insane!!

We came in late, we had called to let them know. Waited at the desk for someone to show up. When he did, he told us he was off, dressed in sleeveless sling shirt, and he guessed he would help. Was rude when explaining parking garage. Not an asset.

It was great. The staff was friendly and so helpful! Especially the staff working the evening of March 29th. They let us gather in the lobby, arranged chairs and gathered things like ice and cups for us. Very impressed. The room was quiet, and the bed was so comfy! And thank you for having hot tea! All the staff provided excellent customer service. The driver for the van, I think his name is Sandro, was pleasant and helped us keep to our schedule. Thank you sir! We would definitely stay at this Hilton Garden Inn again. 😊

Too expensive. Everything was overpriced. $5 per day internet; $3 candy bars at self check out; $3 bottle of water in the room. $20 breakfasts; $19 hamburgers. Will look for a cheaper place next visit. Ugh.

Nice sized room, not cramped. Wished their was a fan option in the bathroom. The TV channels were 1 off from the guide making for an amusing experience but we weren't in the room much for it to matter. Decent breakfast options; pricey as you pay for convenience.

My issue is with the breakfast offerings. For almost $17 a breakfast buffet was served with scrambled eggs, breakfast meat and red potatoes. Also fruit and bread. Or as part of the buffet, you could order omelets, pancakes or waffles. Alternatively, you could order off the menu. I chose the buffet and my sister ordered two scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes for $12. No bread but came with coffee. Turns out that the eggs were POWDERED! I could have ordered an omelette and avoided the eggs but they served my sister the powdered eggs and food from the buffet! Needless to say, we found better breakfast options for the remainder of our stay!

NO FREE BREAKFAST! When did this become something common? The TV Channels and guide were wrong and the window shade didn't keep out the light in the early morning. Also there were practically no lights in the room and the ones that there were, faced down instead of up to light the room. I would NEVER stay here ever again! For the amount of money, at the very LEAST, they should have free breakfast.
