I enjoyed my stay at Key Inn. The area was quiet and felt safe during my stay. Room neede a little fixing but all in all a decent place. There were restaurant within walking distance and many other places. The hotel does not offer a laundry facility, but there is a laundromat that is about 3 mins of walking. Housekeeping is offered daily so that is always a great plus. All in all I enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place.

It was fine for the price, no frills hotel. The house keepers do a nice job, beds, toilets, counters and tub all very clean. The carpet in the room need replacing ASAP. It felt gummy and damp or sticky. I needed to keep my baby off of it as much as possible. The bed pillows are super flat/ soft. Easy check in, the pool was clean but their lounge chairs need cleaned or replaced.

Having people sleeping in the parking lot of the hotel is iffy

I woke up to car alarms in the motel parking lot where my car was parked at least 6 times during the night! I almost packed up my stuff to leave in the middle of the night I was so worried about my car being broken into. There were several “disclaimer” signs posted there too. Also “Human Trafficking” hotline signs posted in the room kinda creeped me out. I won’t stay there again

The hotel itself is not bad. The location is rather close to the freeway and another road however. My biggest concern was that the ice machine wasn't working and even after talking with management twice I was told that it was because too many people were using it. But then even in the morning if so was not working and it seemed like they just did not care to repair the machine. The grounds itself were nice and the pool was also clean. I did have a concern however in the morning there was not one but two loud bangs type of explosions that went off. We did not receive a phone call from the front desk to our room regarding it nor a knock on the door from any staff or management about what happened. People were looking out their doors trying to understand what happened and when I found staff they also had no idea what had occurred. It felt unsafe and I still do not know exactly what caused the loud boom that actually shook our room. Aside from that I had no issues and if the ice maker had worked or they made an attempt to repair it when I made a report or even offered to give us perhaps a discount as I asked, I would have been willing to stay there again but don't really see myself ever going back. The price was right but I guess you get what you pay for!

Convenient location and affordable pricing. Police were hanging out at the back of the hotel, indicating there may have been an issue. Room was mostly clean and well-appointed. Toilet was constantly filling, needed maintenance (not so much of an issue since we were only there one night). There was also a fly in the room. No security chain on the door.

Denny's restaurant was next door which was good and access to interstate was close. But no coffee at the hotel whether in the lobby or the room. The inside room I stayed in was quiet which was a plus.

They need a 24/7 security guard.

Stay here at least twice a month I suggest staying in a room facing outward. The tvs all come on with volume maxed. Housekeeping ladies are nice. Front desk employees are nice. Food places close enough to walk. Water pressure kinda sucks. Price is right. Reserve on line. $50 deposit. No cash accepted at desk laundry liquor store and Denny’s are a hop skip away along with 24hr smoke shop

Room was filthy and crawling with roaches my daughter checked in and was out in less than 10 minutes we requested a refund and were told it was non refundable due to cancelation this was not a cancelation it was a conscious decision not to sleep in a filthy roach infested room even if it was for 1 night I gladly spent twice as much at another hotel down the road Overall cleanliness of rooms is subpar and pest control is highly recommended if not required by state or local standards

The rug was really dirty and sticky. I couldn’t relax and walk around without shoes.

Hotel had lots of Cockroaches.

The rooms are not clean enough. The electric plugs and appliances were sub par. But the biggest issue with our room was finding small cockroaches around the tv and sink area.

Room was very old. Food left in the dirty microwave. No remote for tv and no blow dryer in the room as advertised. Homeless people living out of their car. Smoking and using pot by my door and child peeing outside. Room smelled like mold. Ill never stay there again

Terrible service, terrible room. Sheets had stains, water damage on the ceiling, hair on the sink. Absolutely disgusting

Excellent remodel. We love the owners and staff. Everything is spotless, new. Fresh fluffy towels are my favorite because hotels usually are flat and gross. We will definitely be back. Huge fan of this location and Orange Grove. It’s our go to for every Disney trip.

Paper-thin walls near freeway (fill in the blank). Very dingy carpeting, TV barely working, and even a roach coming out of the hole in the door! All this for the bargain price of $100! Only saving grace was a somewhat comfortable bed, but stain on the comforter squashed those dreams pretty quickly.

It’s close to a nice Denny’s where everyone is very friendly. It’s got hot showers and clean beds. It is old though and a bit run down. Not glamorous at all. But ok. 35 min from a beach.

I decided on this place because it was the cheapest I could find, and it lived down to my expectations in the usual areas — scuzzy carpet, old fixtures, A/C has broken slats to direct the air flow, remote control looks and feels like it was made in 1960. However, I was pleasantly surprised by several key features. The wifi was excellent — fast, no interruptions or crashes, no problems logging in, etc. Second, the A/C is powerful and does a good job cooling the room. Third, the wall-mounted flat-screen TV is in very good shape and the remote control, while old and requiring some getting used to, does work. Finally, the housekeepers are fantastic — very nice and willing to accommodate your schedule into theirs. Overall, I felt this was a good experience. Surprisingly so.

Unfortunately got a room facing the freeway, and underestimated how noisy it would be in the room. Overall not a bad stay, but I think there is better for the price. A couple outlets in the room did not work. But conveniently located if you are traveling along I-5 and don't want to go too far out of your way.

Beds were terrible and you heard every little sound from other guests and freeway.

Easy check in. Stockes minimum room necessities. Hard bed with rough sheets. Dated flooring. Great size fridge and microwave. The air-conditioning did not stay running for more then a few mins so we stuck with it on fan mode.

It was hard to sleep with the room on the same side of the frwy, not to mention the room was cold and not eniugh blankets

The room seemed like it was just updated. Smelt like new carpet. The heating unit could have used an upgrade too it was very loud. There was only like warm water. I tried to wash my face and the water in both skunk and shower didn’t get above room temp at best.

I read the reviews prior to making the reservation and the photos made the place look nice and well kept and I read several of them but I thought that some people are hard to please - like they may be expecting a stay at the Ritz or Marriot and were disappointed. This is not a high end hotel but if you expect to get any sleep in this place - forget about it. It is right next to the highway and you hear everything - from accidents, to loud motorcycles and racing cars to emergency vehicles. So, if you are expecting a relaxing stay forget about it. On the other hand, if you are the type of person who cannot sleep unless there is noise, you will sleep like a baby.

Rooms with door on El Camino are noisy.

Well the man in the front office was very nice and helpful i had a good stay there,clean,quiet.

Fantastic front desk. The gentleman got us checked in right away. Bed was surprisingly comfortable while. There’s also an excellent Korean BBQ restaurant next door.

Still haven’t received deposit back

The check in receptionist was very nice, courteous, helpful and efficient. However the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 10:00 asking if I was checking out when check out is at 11:00. I felt rushed and I was very angry. I reported it to the front desk when I checked out. Will not stay here again.

Used Hotels.com reserve two rooms. The Hotel could not find the 2nd room reservation and did not honor the agreement. They wanted me to call and find out what went wrong. I had a valid email, reservation number for both rooms, and a receipt. I was not going to call Hotels.com because I had been on hold for 30 minutes the last time something went wrong. I told them to call and an argument started. Even after showing the staff my proof, they were not willing to help. The problem... Somehow a 2nd transaction had been generated and another person's name was added to a room. I didnt do that, but after 45 minutes in the lobby, it was handled. Then the next day out keys did not work and we had to go back to the front. Even after listing all responsible parties attached to the room, they would not honor their identification. They had to call me to leave my function to go meet with the staff so they could allow the other, assigned person, into the room. Why did I need to add them in the first place if they were not going to accept them as an associated party to my room?

It's a retro building, the rooms and grounds were kept very clean. It's close to Old Tustin, Irvine, and right next to the 5 freeway. Convenient walking to some stores and bus transportation. Negative would be that there are some sketchy people staying there or hanging around the area. I didn't want to go out walking at night . Also the rooms are pretty small, but kept very clean.

Key Inn & Suites sits in a great location. There are restaurants within walking distance, a laundry facility also within walking distance. Staff are friendly and courteous. The room really wasn't too bad. It is pretty spacious and clean. There were two things that were a bit of an issue. The bathroom door had an issue with a loose hinge and the carpets could use some cleaning. I do not like to wear footwear indoors and my feet was getting dirty from walking around the room that I ended up wearing socks the entire time....maybe a good steam cleaning or however you would clean carpets. All in all, I would rate the hotel a 9/10!

This is a low-cost hotel, a perfectly serviceable hotel for a seasoned traveler who needs something simple and cheap (not recommendfor family). It's right of the highway so noise can be an issue. Location's decent, with the Marketplace with 5 minutes. First room smelled of smoke but staff provided a second room without issue.

The stay is comfortable and quiet. It is close to a restaurant which is convenient for eating.

Dennys restaurant is right next door, very convenient.
