Days Inn by Wyndham San Marcos

Clean room. Once we figured out how to use the shower that was great. Check in guy was fantastic. Sorry forgot his name. Check out lady was rude and short with her answers to me. No reason why and I didn’t press it. But not cool. Other than that, it was a pleasant visit.

I don’t recommend it

Staffs were really friendly, parking was good, but the breakfast needs more than just coffee, breads, waffles and oranges. You need to add protein like eggs, yogurt, milk, cereals like other motels. That’s why we moved to Motel 6 in Escondido. It’s basically same price, just got renovated and they have better breakfasts.

This property is in serious neglect. The counter in the bathroom had makeup stains from previous guests. The sink faucet leaked when in use. Upon arrival there was water all over the bathroom floor, we thought the toilet was leaking but didn’t find the source of the leak and it didn't return after we cleaned it up. If you are looking for a slight step above an hourly motel then this is the place. The door to our room was a residential interior door, not exactly screaming security!! We arrived around 11pm and checked in through a window instead of the lobby. I had even called ahead to let them know of the late arrival and was not advised of the lobby situation. The breakfast was lackluster at best! The only redeeming grace was the bakery/mexican resturant adjacent on the property. The staff was friendly and inviting, that is the only saving grace for this location.

The room smelled terrible. The sheets were stained with blood. Asked to have them changed, they gave me queen sized sheets for a king size bed and said I could either take them or sleep in the dirty ones because they had no more. Terrible, terrible terrible. Stains in the sheets, stains in the chairs, DISGUSTING!
