Manager was extremely nice and maid was working hard, so no knocks on them. Rooms clean and flooring nice, bed comfy enough for a night. But facilities themselves a little worse for wear with cinder blocks holding up stairs and balcony looking a little unstable. Room too hot for comfort even with fan full blast in October.

Ok for a budget hotel. Room was clean. Staff was super nice. Bed was comfy. The hotel is on a busy noisy street. No AC so had to leave the window open. Someone was smoking in the parking lot and smoke wafted into the room.

Poor hot water. It is NOT adjustable in the shower. It is pre-set. And, it is NOT hot. Stayed here for a very low budget price, but without hot water…not worth it.

Very helpful office staff. Super steep driveways make it difficult for ingress egress, cramped parking once inside. Exorbitant pricing during special events/race weekends, but the entire area does the same. Supply and demand!

jay the hotel manager was so sweet and helpful! the hotel is very clean and the bed was really comfortable. there is plenty of parking and it’s in a good location! not too busy, but pretty close to Monterey. the only issue i had was that the “free breakfast” was a coffee, water, and juice corner in the manager’s office that is available at all times. it’s nice to have free drinks, but that’s not a breakfast lol overall, really nice place to stay!

Room was comfortable but the floors were dirty. It was somewhat noisy partly due to the all-night mini-mart next door. Extremely close to a wide variety of restaurants. Biggest complaint is that the front and back entrances from the street are too steep and I scraped the front edge of my car every departure no matter the angle.

The area was fine, local and within 20 minutes of all the sights. Room was clean. It did have a smell. Old smoke and pesticide. We opened the window and it was ok. People were yelling outside at 5am. The bed was good, clean. Bring your own pillow thier suck.

I stayed at this motel for two nights recently, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I found bugs and insects on the bed sheets. This lack of attention to cleanliness and service was unacceptable. I expect a basic level of hygiene and responsiveness. I would not recommend staying here unless they improve their cleanliness and customer service standards.

Room wasnt very clean and outside was very dirty. Room was right next to a gas station with lots of noise all day and night. I had to leave window open and listen to everyone at gas station because no AC. Better places for similar pricing. Would not come back here again.

Staff was nice enough but for almost $300 a night you would think you would get sheets that didn’t have blood splatters all over them. My 11month old was laying on someone else’s blood before we realized and immediately all got out of the room. All staff offered was to change the sheets. If it wasn’t so late and we didn’t pay so much we would’ve just left. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. A major health risk

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this hotel was so bad I feel like I have to warn others. I spent almost $800 for just 3 nights, and for that price I expected at least a clean, decent room. Instead, I walked into a disaster. The room was dirty from the start the ironing board was stained and disgusting, the closet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the entire place smelled awful. Honestly, if I had known the room would be like this, I would have rather spent $60 to $100 at a Motel 6. At least then my expectations would have matched the quality. This place is absolutely not worth the money. Outside wasn’t any better piles of dirty laundry just sitting around in the open, trash scattered near the rooms, and overall disgusting surroundings that made the property feel completely neglected. Cleanliness, safety, and professionalism were clearly not a priority here. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. If you value cleanliness, comfort, safety, or even basic hygiene, do not stay here. Spend your money elsewhere, anywhere will be better than this.

Do not stay here. Room was size of a shoe box, people were partying all night yelling and playing music till almost 3am. The worst part of the stay was the HARD bed we were forced to sleep on. We couldn’t even sleep due to being so uncomfortable.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean. Couldn't beat the price, but you get what you pay for. Probably one of the most minimalist hotel rooms I've stayed in. Very, very small, and very, very basic. But we essentially only needed a place to sleep and shower; we spent all of our time out and about so this place was fine. Had some pretty noisy and inconsiderate neighbors one morning, but otherwise no complaints.

Advertises free wi-fi, but it doesn't reach the second floor where I stayed. Was temporarily fixed. TV was not connected. (This was fixed.) Huge chunk of ice dripping in the fridge. Only fresh air came from the door, so the fan just circulated stale air. Staff were generally helpful, except for one testy tech guy. Point is, I should n't have to deal with all this - at all.

There was no A/C in the room, only a ceiling fan so the room was stuffy. The bedding had either burn marks or tears on it. There were families with kids which normally would be fine, but they were running around, yelling inside and outside the rooms until really late. The family upstairs let their kids jump up and down so we could hear them pretty badly downstairs. They were also slamming doors at night and in the morning. When I called the front desk to complain about it in the morning there were no apologies or anything of the sort. All they said was that some of the families were getting ready to check out that morning and when I asked about the ones upstairs they said not until the next day. They didn’t apologize or offer to go and ask them to stop, nothing. The 2nd night, whoever was staying upstairs was also making a lot of noise, including squeaking of their bed for almost 30 minutes. The walls and ceiling were just so paper thin, you could hear absolutely everything from the rooms next to you and upstairs. When we went to check out, there was a sign in sheet for management to send you an email with the receipt. There was no manager there and a housekeeper came out to the front to let us know. Truly disappointed with this hotel.

The smoke detector in our room was melted and disabled and the front desk refused to address this as a safety issue or refund our stay as we had already paid. I consider this hotel an extreme safety hazard. Also noisy, old and poor customer service.

The little balcony was a nice touch. The Clerk was outstanding! My Moms (80yr) booking at another hotel that was going to have no power, but they expected her to stay there, well when I told the ckerk at your hotel about it, he immediately made accommodations on the spot. Awesome service and will probly always stay here when in town!!

This hotel is situated in a V between 2 busy streets and therefore the noise level in the room from the traffic is loud enough that I had to wear earplugs to sleep. It was only after asking for the third time that I got a room facing the courtyard which was noticeably quieter.

It was safe, convenient, and comfortable. We arrived after hours and called to check in and waited about 10 mins. The room was fairly clean but did have a smokey odor. No AC in the room. Outside the bathroom window was drug needles.

Room wasnt very clean and outside was very dirty. Room was right next to a gas station with lots of noise all day and night. I had to leave window open and listen to everyone at gas station because no AC. Better places for similar pricing. Would not come back here again.

Nice, clean room. The bathroom was really big. The traffic was kind of loud, but not too bad. Very convenient to the bike trail and close to the beach. We would definitely stay there again.

Econo lodge was wonderful, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Tge breakfadt was good, clean and fresh. Our room was very large clean for the most part, the only conplaint was the floor could have been mopped better.

Affordable and clean with the added bonus of a light breakfast. The roads surrounding Bay Breeze Inn can be a little noisy but I would book the accommodation again.

Sam at the front desk was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was minimal, muffins, coffee,orange juice ,frozen breakfast burritos. Cleaning staff are awesome and so accommodating to get you what you need...extra pillows, coffee towles. The outer hallway was really wet due to roof leak. Room was very clean and comfortable. Water was very hot and everything worked great! Close to shopping and restaurants. All in all a wonderful 2 day stay.

jay the hotel manager was so sweet and helpful! the hotel is very clean and the bed was really comfortable. there is plenty of parking and it’s in a good location! not too busy, but pretty close to Monterey. the only issue i had was that the “free breakfast” was a coffee, water, and juice corner in the manager’s office that is available at all times. it’s nice to have free drinks, but that’s not a breakfast lol overall, really nice place to stay!

This property used to offer smoking rooms which is why I stayed there. They do not any more, which is a big negative for me. They also used to have a continental breakfast but the juice machine was not working, and the office does not open until 8, way too late to grab something before you leave.

Nice service, rather big room, just a block away from the beach. Although close to a road and fireworks all around, it was actually pretty quiet. Breakfast is astonishingly varied, and coffee all day made us happy. I would absolutely recommend.

Checked in on a Tuesday night. Very easy check in. Room was clean and big. Bigger than other motel/hotels in Monterey that I've stayed at. Didn't need to use the AC or heater so can't comment on those. Room was quiet at night. Out of my 5 night stay there was only one night where I had to park my car on the street. Otherwise parking was fine. Staff was very friendly. Housekeeping forgot to replenish the coffee and cups one day so I went to the office and they gave me what I needed. No problem. Overall I was very pleased with my stay. I would stay here again!
