Everything was good. One of the hosts was friendly. Great place for the price. Microwave and fridge included. The parking lot was tight. Difficult to get in and out of parking lot. Overall, great stay.

Our room was very large, the heater worked wonderfully, the beds were nicely made with clean sheets and pillows, there was ample free parking, and centrally located between the cities of the Monterey peninsula.

The staff was very friendly and we felt safe. The parking area is pretty limited but it was close to the beach so we were willing to overlook that. The fridge did not get cold. We had brought some food and drinks and they were room temp at best in the fridge. There was an ice machine on the property though so we were able to add some to a ziplock back and use it for our drinks. We were only there for one night and had a comfortable sleep.

The room was less than $65 dollars and was completely acceptable for that price. It was clean and the front desk gave me an iron when I asked for one. The room had a mini refrigerator and a microwave which was nice. It also had a hair dryer. There was no coffee maker, which was a disappointment. The walls are very thin, but with the A/C fan on I spent a quiet night. The bedding was very firm. This is definitely a no-frills place, but clean and reasonably comfortable.

Surfaces in several rooms are not cleaned properly and are sticky and dirty including the tv, remote control,table and nightstands.They have developed a cockroach problem too and on the last visit we saw 3 and a dead one on the wall.There was a Pin Lock on numerous channels including HBO that the owner had no idea what to do to unlock it. Used to be decent but things have gone downhill.

Very dissapointing. Hotel was dirty. As soon as we walked in the bathroom was pooped and dirty. Floor was dirty. Mentioned it to, front desk and they offred another room. Once at the other room, the male worker was inside inspecting it to make sure it was clean. Honestly i was still upset for $150 per night. We stayed 2 nights nothing else was avaliable or we would of left. The room we got moved too was dirty. Had stains on the wall. Just very poorly conditioned. The male worker was outside always just felt like he was always spying.

We we to celebrate one of my son's 4th birthday and my anniversary with my wife. The bed sheets felt dirty. When we woke up we were all itching; my wife and my birthday son ended up with rashes. In addition, it was really hard for us to stay sleep without constantly waking up. A lot of ware and tare on shairs, the bathroom was filthy, including molding. The bathroom door was damaged. Light switch was dirty. There was a horrible smell from the time that we arrived till we left. I informed the reception and the lady said that they were not dirty.

The room was sloped. It was like walking down hill when you entered. There was also visible dirt. I understand for the price I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but I was expecting a level floor and a reasonable amount of cleanliness. The staff was fine. Maybe our room was an anomaly, but I won't risk it for future trips.

Definitely water damage and mold present. Things need to be replaced and fixed in the room. The remote was sticky, didn't even watch to watch TV anymore. Kids had a uv light, at least the linen passed that test...

It was cheap and between a couple of shopping areas with varied options. Its also pretty close to Hwy 1 (maybe 0.2 miles, if that), so you can head to Santa Cruz or Big Sur without having to navigate an unknown city. The room itself was satisfactory, with all the usual amenities. It was a little noisy (being near a highway off ramp and not very thick walls), and I did notice a crack in the shower, but other than that if you just need a place to stay the night for a coastal trip, it more than meets your needs.

Lowest price for a hotel in the Monterey area. The rooms were actually quite spacious. They have been newly remodeled. Nice windows that you can open looking towards the beach. Mini fridge & microwave worked great. Location is right off the freeway too!

It’s the quintessential cheap motel, first place I’ve stayed in years that didn’t even include instant coffee or anything. One step above camping. Towels unfortunately were not clean for us which felt gross. Thinnest walls of anyplace I’ve stayed, could definitely hear all of our neighbor’s “activities.” This place is also on a major highway and a block away from an interstate so it’s super noisy at all times. Nothing really walkable. Parking is tight but manageable. Bed was cheap but serviceable. For $350+ per night (during a busy event week in town) I have never felt robbed by a motel rate before but now I know the feeling. Two nice things I can say, there were no bug problems, and the staff were very friendly to us. Overall this was okay in a pinch but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it’s a last resort (as it was for us).

I went by a day early to confirm I had booked for 6 days, and they confirmed that. Check in was no problem. However, after 4 days, they terminated my Key. I came in from work, and had to argue that I had paid for 6 nights. I went ahead and gave them another night's pay, and 30 minutes later they realize they had messed up. The same thing happened a day later. When you are looking for an apartment, and working, and come "home" to a locked door, IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU HAPPY. And then they don't know that what they are saying to you because they can't do anything beside tell you what the computer says. It all worked out financially but was disappointing and frustrating.

I stayed there with my daughter and 2 friends for vacation. The owner/manager appeared to take a dislike to us on the 2nd day. Knocked on our door multiple times in the 3 nights we stayed. Insisted we get “room service” but meant we needed to let them in to clean. Teens don’t wake up at 8am, sorry. He acted like we were throwing a party and doing illegal things and they needed to inspect. We also forgot jackets, came back, didn’t park perfectly, tho 3 of the 4 of us stayed in the car and he came over to tell me to fix my parking, I explained, and he just stared at me until we left. Bathroom has no exhaust fan, mold on ceiling. Floor has sag in the middle, with creaking. Wall under window is squishy, room windows get condensation on them overnight. 3 towels only, even tho I reserved for 4 people. Parking is TIGHT. Overall between the nosy/rude manager/owner and disrepair, I wish I’d spent a bit more and gotten a better experience.

Parking was horrible the whole are was dirty , we booked a room and wasn’t going to be able to make it the first day so i tried calling 20 times to let them know I still would pay for both nights but would only be there one day , they never answered the phone , I had to pay separately for the day because they cancelled my reservation. And they still charged me for the reservation

It was extremely noisy. The other guests were yelling at 3:30 am on a week night, the traffic was noisy, the heater was noisy. Even with earplugs it was difficult to sleep. There was hair in the bathtub. The owners did not understand English well (which I am okay with as I am an EL teacher) but they could not answer basic questions such as what I was signing for, if I needed a tag for my car etc.

Receptionist said she couldn't find my reservation and asked for cash to get me a room. I refused to give her money and showed her my receipt for the room. She had me come back an hour later to solve the supposed issue. When I returned she said she found my reservation but gave me the wrong room. She gave me a room with 1 queen bed, i told her I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds. She said there were none available so I asked for written documentation so I could solve the issue with Expedia then she miraculously found a room with 2 queen beds. Room was not in the best condition and the Receptionist, the owner, was very rude. It was a mistake to book with them.

Parking was a little tricky but I was able to find a spot on the street in front. It’s situated near the beach and I was able to get a good night of sleep. This is a good value if you’re looking a spot close to all the places that the Monterey peninsula has to offer.

Stayed for 1 night. Everything was just fine. Good place for the price. Staff is really nice & accommodating. The location is very convenient, located close to the beach, fast food and a short drive to Fisherman's wharf area. Rooms were outdated but clean & comfortable. The parking lot is s little quirky but at least it's free & there are enough spots for everyone. I would stay again if I'm ever in the area.

Parking was limited had to use handicap spot and was a tight area. There was zero restaurants in walking distance. Next door to a car wrecker storage. Just off a major roadway and was noisy from vehicles. Wont stay again

Very tight parking and one street to get into it so if you miss it you'll have to flip a U and then another U to get there. Lots of shops and food within walking distance if you enjoy walking.
