It was good in many repects (very clean room, good breakfast, good parking, easy check in). So so in others (food and coffee were unpredictable in availability, halls and elevators werent clean, no hot water in whirlpool, lots of standing water in pool floor area, staff was loud and lots of public complaining). We visited the Eisenhower Museum which was great, but the rest of the town is run down. M&R Grill down the street was very good and the local Pizza joint downtown was as well. We would stay again and cross our fingers that their act together, lol.

"Breakfast included" was a joke. It was more like a continental breakfast. The swimming pool was cloudy. The spa was broken. Our room keys had to be reprogrammed several times. On the plus side the bed and pillows were very comfortable

We were very excited to stay here, as it's a new hotel. But we were disappointed overall with this one. Parking was difficult because all of the painted lines have already come off. The floor of the room had clearly not been vacuumed. There were crumbs and stuff that was not from us. The shower had not been cleaned. There was no actual hand soap, just a Dove bar. What there was for breakfast was good but there could have been more options. The only egg option was an omelet. The only meat option was bacon. And there were no potatoes, which was disappointing. The pancake maker was awesome. This hotel was also a little pricey. Over $200 for one night for one room. I think next time we will just stay across the street at the old Holiday Inn.

Stay was good but could use some help with cleaning it was dusty and the room we were in had black mold and in the bathroom. Went to the pool and it wasn’t heated and the hot tub wasnt working either. There was black mold in the pool as well! Not a lot of people which was nice! I think the breakfast could use some help! I personally think it needs to be updated

Condition of property is bad. Hole in room carpet, stain in bathroom tub, dirt or mold around tile and base of tub. Door to pool was jammed and inaccessible. They are putting up a Holida Inn Express across the road. I assume they’ll tear this one down. We would not have stayed here if we had known. Very disappointed.

The side entrance to the building supposedly requires the use of the room key to enter but the door doesn’t even lock. That makes me feel much less safe…about as safe as a drive-up motel without the barrier of a lobby. The pool room had the back door propped open and anybody could sneak in from outside. The coffee maker in the room was dusty and filthy inside; it was very unsanitary. There was no hand soap for the bathroom sink. The front desk attendant searched and found two small bars though she seemed annoyed with the request. She also didn’t seem to want to reprogram our card key that didn’t work. Even our 5 y.o. commented “She wasn’t very friendly.” She didn’t look up to greet people when they entered. Anybody off the street could be in this hotel. At least it is quiet; I think it may be because people know not to stay here. This room was extremely overpriced. For this rate we expected much more. Haven’t had breakfast yet so I can’t comment on that.

Went into the supposedly “clean” bathroom in our room and found whiskers and other gross things in the sink. The counter had not been cleaned and the other surfaces in the room had cup rings indicating they had not been wiped down either. The staff were responsive and immediately came and cleaned the bathroom but it made me wonder what else had been missed.

Room hadn’t been cleaned. I took photos. But it was very late and it was the last room they had and I was too tired to keep driving. Bed and pillows smelled liKe smoke. My room was supposed to have a coffee maker but it had been removed. The hotel lobby looked quite nice. The desk staff seemed nice but were not qualified to offer me any compensation. Had they been able to offer any small comp I might have been satisfied. I was told a manager would reach out They did not. There were long and short black hairs all over the shower. There were dirty shoe prints on the shower floor. The night table had an oily substance and finger smears on it. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed The bed was made and appeared clean but smelled strongly of smoke. I paid almost 200 bucks for the room I never like to leave bad reviews but you did ask…

The room was tired and not well maintained. There were brackets for a mirror and pictures on the wall that had not been removed when the items were removed from the wall. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The toilet did not flush well unless you held the handle down for a considerable time. Then it would not stop filling. I had to open the back and push the plug into the hole at the base of the tank to allow it to fill. The toilet in the next room had not had that done apparently, because it ran the whole time we were there. The check-in was very slow due to the computer system not working well. The signage on the outside of the motel was almost non-existent - only a 4'X5' durable plastic banner by the entry. In fact, we went to the Holiday Inn Express across the street, thinking it was our reservation, because we couldn't even see Abilene Inn. The parking lot was not well lit - only minimal lighting by the front door.

The room was nice and clean, except for inside the shower wasn't cleaned properly, still a little dirty. I know it's not anything you can do about the HVAC System, but it was so loud we had to turn up the television in order to hear it! Other than that, I would would stay again and I would recommend the Hotel to others ❤️

We picked this higher priced property cuz get what you pay for!! Check in was difficult; less than welcoming staff; keys would not work/got new keys; the room was not refreshed-bed not made, dirty tub and smelled. Back to the front desk again to ask clerk to check it out. Snippy response and got another room. Bed was clean/made but tub was dirty with brown stains. This is a new facility. Shower dripped all night. Check out some other place.

No vent in bathroom showerhead did not work very good lime buildup on the showerhead and sink toilet did not flush properly entry door had big gap light from the hallway shined threw the refrigerator did keep things cool the ice machine was broke the vending machine was empty the toilet had urine stain on the base I did have plenty of towels the room had a musty smell

Though one is asked at check in to sign an agreement that one won’t smoke (under penalty of $250 if you do) the room clearly smelled of old stale cigarette smoke. The breakfast was quite lacking as well. And to the owner(s), you should be ashamed putting people on beds like that. Mine had zero support and felt like I was sinking down to the box spring.

No wifi. Rooms in poor condition with such things as peeling wallpaper and a poorly fitted door that let hall light filter through. Bed was really awful. My wife and I were stiff the next morning. I thought the staff was nice and responsive but the owner needs to upgrade the property. Will not stay here again.

Fantastic and friendly helpful staff. I mixed up the date on my reservation and they were able to fix it right away. The place was absolutely clean. It's a new hotel and common areas are comfortable and inviting. Breakfast bar was well run and food was good. Lovely restaurant right next door.

This was one of the larger hotels in Abilene - but it was an old property. A new, replacement hotel is opening very soon. It felt like thisnhotel was being ignored and all resources put into the opening of the new HIE across the street. Also, we had a bad check in experience. As i was on crutches, i asked if we could have a first floor room. Shebsaid none were available and then proceeded to give us a second floor room farthest away from the elevator. Also, we had prepaid for our room on Expedia, yet this check in girl charged my credit card again for the room. We checked in arpund 6pm, so surprised we couldnt have been placed in a room closer to elevator. I would like to compliment the front desk manager, Heather, as she was very helpful in getting the room charge removed from my credit card and she apologized for the problem.

We had about 30 numbers to this hotel for a family funeral from 2-3 days All of us everyday had to get new key cards for the rooms. Then waiting at front desk for awhile to get sone help even called front desk several times while standing In front of it

The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and personable. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was really clean, right off I-70 and had a great free breakfast. There are also multiple gas stations/coffee places nearby if you’re just passing through it’s a great place to rest and refuel.

Our key was not programmed correctly so we had difficulty entering our room. The "complimentary" breakfast was a huge let down- no fruit, no drinks, barely any cereal. We like the breakfast in the hotel for time and convenience so we were inconvenienced because we went out for breakfast. There was no water - I wanted to buy a water bottle but the machines were out. I was not impressed and will not return

We were very disappointed. It showed a high rating, but the first room they assigned us was dirty and unmade from previous guests. Then they gave us a suite that was musty smelling. The hot tub was not in service. Breakfast offered no warm eggs, no options for waffles or any other cooked items.

Overpriced for what you get, the breakfast was a huge disappointment after reading glowing reviews from 2024. Choice Hotels made a cost-cutting decision to take away all the hot items and just leave some cereal, toast, not even a waffle machine. Our check-in was slow and the room we were assigned had not been cleaned. The clerk was very nice, but was a fill-in and had not been sufficiently trained on their computer system. There are very few hotels in Abilene, KS. But if we ever come back, we will stay down the road in Salina rather than in Abilene. However, did fine a great new Asian restaurant in Abilene-Fuji's!

First the good, breakfast was good for a hotel. Many different choices from bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, pasteries, fruit and drinks. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very large, as clean as it could be for how old the property is and the shower had great water pressure Now the bad. This is an old hotel, they are building a new one across the street. Pets are allowed so the smell of dogs is in the hotel. Very thin walls. You hear everyone outside in the hallway. The bed was super stiff making it almost impossible to sleep. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. There used to be one but it was removed making it possible to see into the bathroom next door. Some signs of black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and a ton of rust around the door frame of the bathroom. Non working tv which isn't that big of a deal. Way overpriced for the area and was expecting so much more but i was very disappointed in the upkeep of the property. I would not stay here again. Drive a few more miles down the road.
