I booked this hotel during a long travel with family. After 5h in the car the kids were really looking forward to going in the hot tub, which is advertised here. However when we arrived both the hot tub and pool were closed for renovation. If I knew of it by the time of the booking I would have chosen a different hotel.

As of 12/2023, hotel is under construction. Pool is closed (disappointing to my kids) which wasn't mentioned at booking, were open paint cans in stairwell,and they also charge a $44 fee for pets (also wasn't listed during booking). Claimed to have a rollaway bed available for free use, but when asked for one was told is only for "suites." We had a very loud buzzing in hallway all night that could hear in room. Breakfast pretty good and areas where reno was complete were nice. Staff was nice, but couldn't do much to help. Disappointed that hotels.com doesn't have all current info on the hotel. Holiday inn claims they don't control "third party" Info, which I have a hard time believing they can enforce better accuracy. Probably won't stay again just bc not worth the risk, but might be a great place after reno.

I loved everything except the pool. It was frigid. I choose hotels with heated pools and get disappointed when they aren’t even the least bit warm. The hot tub was great!

We were traveling from Florida back to NY and booked two rooms. The price was great. Rooms were very clean, spacious, and bed comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast that was included in the morning was very good and had a wide variety of choices. The worker that was working the food area for breakfast overheard that it was my son's bday and gave him a cookie that she had just baked, which was so thoughtful! Would definitely stay there again. I have zero complaints with this hotel.

The hotel looked nothing like the pictures online. There was brown crusty stuff on the bottom of the tub. The lining on the underside of the mattress was pulled off. The carpet had stains on it and dirt & trash and there was Black Mold in the bathroom between the wall and the sink (left side). I would like to request a refund as this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Please call me at (804) 317-1717. Thank You!

The bathroom was not clean. There were tie nail clippings in the sink shelf and hair in the ceiling above the shower. Coffee pot was very dirty too. The staff was amazing and the Libby and breakfast are were very clean. The room tho was not up to par

This place had a very pungent smell-starting with the gentleman at the front front desk then continuing into the room. The bathroom apparently had something ripped from the wall and dirty wash clothes in the shower. The top and front of the fridge were filthy, there were stains on the carpet and the curtains were pulled off from the tracks. I have photos.

Easy check in, nice staff, room was spacious. Good for a nights stay on a quick weekend errand. The only thing was we had what looked like fried chicken tender pieces under our bed.

Staff and Service were great. Everyone was very nice and willing to help or get anything you may need. The room we stayed it was okay. Not as clean as I would like and kind of dated and needed up dated. The room and bathroom lighting was dark couldn’t see to well in there unless the blinds were pulled up. Breakfast lots of options - the bacon was delicious. The pool and hot tub were nice. My children had a lot of fun swimming.

The staff at Holiday Inn Express, Princeton wete excellent. They erte kind, caring, and efficient. The hotel is very basic- you get wsat ypu pay for. The location is excellent with easy access from the interstate. My only complaint is the rooms are quite noisy. I could hear every word spoken in the room nextdoor and every footstep in the room above me. It was difficult to get to sleep and hard to stay asleep with noise from other rooms.

It’s in a high-traffic area, which noise is to be expected. Of no control from the Holiday Inn Express staff, the neighboring dogs in their fenced in backyard, barked a couple hours in the late evening. Fortunately, the owners finally took them inside. Rooms are good but a little worn, and the bathroom exhaust fan sounded like a plane taking off. There is no vanity light at the bathroom mirror. Otherwise, clean & comfortable.

I have stayed here in the past, and I booked through Expedia again. However this time, my room smells like smoke and the bathroom floor is all busted up. The toilet is loose and leaking. They are booked up so I can't switch rooms, so they reduced my rate to $80, but said since I booked through Expedia I would not get that money back.

The hotel was over priced for what it was. The bathroom had one light that was also the fan, which was dark and loud. The noise from the hallway was a lot. It was fine, but I would not recommend.

I had reserved a suite, but when I got their with 5 other people it was not available. So they put us in a room with two beds, a roll a way bed, and a pack and play. It was quite congested. Then their was no TV who has a hotel room without TV. My husband can't sleep without the noise.We had to go buy a TV to use. Our trip was rather uncomfortable.But the gentleman at the front desk John was very nice and tried to help us as much as possible. I am very glad he was their otherwise it could have been heated.

Checking in the lady never said welcome or acknowledged us. Once she was done doing here chores or whatever she was doing, she checked us in, so that was fine. The only room available reeked of smoke. So bad that we had a headache the following morning. I went out to get something out of the car & there was a semi-nude man making food in the closed off kitchen area- not sure what the story was about that one. Certainly won’t be back. That said - the AM staff (this morning) were friendly/outgoing/polite

When we got there, our room was given away. My card was charged a minimal fee to hild the room. Said there wasnt anything she could do, the hotel was full. Stated she tried to call. No call or nessage was received. I want my money back.

Was a great stay except that the king size bed we requested was not what we were given. Even though I booked my reservation over a week in advance the two girls explained that all request for king rooms no matter when they are reserve are looked at that morning and are assigned out. When there are no more king rooms they just are given the double beds. I have never been done that way before. Or given that resoning why we didn't get the room we requested. But when asked to see a manager she said there was not manager in duty but she would see what she could do. First she said that she could give us a king room but we would be bumping someone else out that had not checked in yet. Then she she said she found a handicap king room we could have.

We had car troubles traveling from Ohio to South Carolina and needed a last minute stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The free lobby cookies were delicious and the breakfast was amazing. The room was clean and quiet, the bed soft and comfortable. We were supposed to get up early but the blackout drapes and the comfy bed allowed us to sleep in so well that we didn't even feel bad about it. 10/10 would definitely stay here again!

Affordable hotel with lots of dinning options nearby. It's right off the interstate so it was easy to get back on the road. They had comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast was better than average. If you are a light sleeper, I would ask for a room that's not facing the main road. It was quite noisy and the shades are not black out.

Comfortable, clean and convenient access to I-77 and restaurants. The staff, especially the gentleman who checked us in, was super friendly. Great option of skiing at Winterplace. The 20-25 minute drive is worth it, given the limited options near the slopes. Beckly is -5 minutes away, but you will pay tolls each way.

Clean unit and beds were comfortable. A bit run down ; needs money spent in upgrades. Toilet loose at base ; has been caulked as a repair but not the best way to secure a toilet base. Breakfast was mostly inedible- probably the worst of all my travels.

Only frustrating experience was the breakfast buffet. Available at 6:30am but a lot of the options were not available until 6:45 or so. Example…..grandsons wanted the pancakes but the batter was not out until 6:45. I wouldn’t normally complain but the buffet attendant was on her phone several times when she should have been filling in items.

Everything was great except breakfast in the morning. Clean, comfortable room, easy check in/check out, pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was not ready at 8:30 in the morning. After 15 minutes we just left to get breakfast elsewhere

This is an older Hi Express and it shows its age. Management is doing everything they can to keep it up and clean. They also are conducting an active refurbishment. We’ve stayed at a lot of HI’s and this one has the best breakfast buffet of any.
