Super 8 by Wyndham Ripley

Our room was on the second floor. There is no elevator or any type of luggage cart. Everything had to be carried up two flights. Not easy when you are in your 70's.

Made the reservation thru Hotels.com. We have made them aware that my wife is handicapped. When we arrived we were given a room on the 2nd floor however they don’t have an elevator. They apologized for the mix up and gave us a room on the first floor. Beds were okay. Unfortunately the guests above us kept waljing around and played their tv loudly. In the morning we were awakened by someone outside our room talking loudly and playing his boombox.

Wyndham should be ashamed to have this facility in your portfolio. Dirty, worn and unsafe with outside access to the facility unlocked. Poor.

The staff was very friendly and informative of all the policies, my room was clean and everything worked. Breakfast was pretty slim pickings but that’s okay. The one thing I did not like about this property is the parking lot was pretty dim. I travelled alone with my dog and arrived when it was dark outside. There were people hanging out around the parking lot that did not appear to be employees or guests. Also, there is a lobby entrance door and a door on either side of the building. Typically in hotels the side entrance doors are locked but these remained unlocked until 11pm and there signs posted on the door saying so, so anyone could come in without a key card. Being a female and alone, It did not feel safe in my opinion. I would stay here again but probably not by myself.

The room SMELLED. I had to spray perfume to make it tolerable. Parking is limited and we had a trailer. Otherwise room clean, I guess.

I didn’t have the mini breakfast. Bed was comfortable, king and 1 st floor, no elevator. Internet not working. Restaurants close by, also a grocery store.

Okay place near Highway, restaurants, and grocery store. Nonsmoking rooms are upstairs with no elevator. Staffed by people who don’t care. Upkeep minimal.

The sign was not working so it made it a little more difficult to find in the dark.

Stay was good, very reasonable. Like that it was pet friendly. The establishment could use some updates in the rooms and improve the lobby area. Lobby is first thing a customer sees. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

No elevator?

Bathroom floor was filthy. Windowsill was covered with dead ladybugs. Cobwebs in upper corner of window.

The room was dirty and the doors where broken. The bathroom still had hair on the shower walls. The toilet had looked like someone peed all over the toilet seat. If you want I have a video of the room when I arrived.

It served its purpose well, needed a room for the night. Conveniently located and close to restaurants and stores. Not fancy, not new, but clean. Mattresses are getting worn but sheets are clean. Smelled clean. Didn't eat breakfast, looked simple but once again, it was clean.

Live bugs in the room. Lumpy soft pillows and not enough of them. Towels, sheets and comforter were stained. Floor was filthy.

We stay when we visit family. This hotel is consistently clean, comfortable and has friendly staff.

The room was dirty, full of stinkbugs, tv was broken no picture at all. Only one set of towels and would no give any more towels or extra blanket.

Shower was so disgusting I couldn’t use it!

Pillows and sheets dirty. Bathroom was moldy. Room smelled terrible. Would not stay there again.

I know this is a budget hotel but I at least expect it to be clean. It was very dirty.

Would have been nicer if we had a room with no one above us. The people above us paced the floor all night long. We were tired from a 6 hour ride and didn't want to switch rooms. Next time I will ask for a top floor room. The bathroom light in 105 is broken. If you need light, the fan also turns on. We wanted to leave the bathroom light on at night but couldn't stand to hear the fan run too.

The person checking me in was a little bit on the abrupt side and reminded me that he had. ”already answered my question once,” which was a little bit condescending – – – as he probably meant it to be. Otherwise, the other staff members were very polite. The free breakfast was better than most I’ve seen in hotels.

Walls are thin

The rooms are small but relatively clean. The bathroom needs a good deep cleaning. The cloth chairs in the rooms need replaced. Very worn. Otherwise is was a decent stay.

The bed was comfortable but the room needs to be updated.

Comfortable bed and a great shower

rooms are old and there is mold in the bathroom and neither the sink or bathtub drained properly. The wifi was broken. The clerk checked someone else into my room. I had requested something accessible as I am elderly and full of metal joints and due to the mix up I had to walk farther to my room which was difficult. The best part was the air conditioning.

The television was terrible. The light didn’t work in the room. The first set of keys didn’t work. They served breakfast but all the yogurt had expired a d the best before date on the milk was the next day. The staff was very friendly but the rooms and furniture is pretty worn out.

Great budget hotel in the area, we will stay here again. Beds were comfortable in our room, the area peaceful and well lit.

both the day clerk and the night clerk were very helpful to me on now two stay.

I reserved two rooms. I sent an email and my cousin also called as she was for one of the rooms to make sure that they were handicap assessable and on the first floor as everyone was handicapped but at least one needed to also be handicapped accessible as at least one guest would be an elderly person. I received an email saying things would be on the first floor as requested. Everything was taken care of per the manager. When we checked in, yes the rooms were on the bottom floor but none of the rooms are handicap accessible and they said there was only one available and it was booked. Since I broke my room about a week or so in advance, and I sent the email on Monday. It is now Saturday and I received the email from the manager on Thursday. I don’t understand why we did not get a handicap accessible room. We could not get my mothers walker through the door without folding it, which created a fall risk, there was no rails for her to get up and down from the toilet another fall risk. This is just to name a few issues. If you’re looking for a place to stay, and you are handicapped or elderly, I do not recommend this hotel .

Staff members were extremely friendly and helpful.

Convenient to the interstate, clean and quiet. Could use a good update but otherwise quite acceptable.

Easily located

A solid choice for our trip. Right at the halfway point of a 2 day drive. Good place for the cost. Close to gas and restaurants.

Very good hotel for travelers. Pretty convenient with restaurants and groceries in walking distance.

This Super 8, like most, is a basic place to lay your head, nothing fancy. But with that said, it was an excellent experience. It was clean throughout and had efficient, friendly employees. The location was good too, right off I-77 at the north end of Ripley. Be sure to go to the Mexican restaurant that is just across the street from this hotel: it was outstanding!

Good stay for the money. Needs some updates. Breakfast ok. Staff was great.

There are a lot of parking lots and roads surrounding the hotel. so it is bare-looking, but there is a creek in the back that can be viewed from the window! It would be very hard to add landscaping to the property. Holiday decorations inside were wonderful and cheery. The gentleman receptionist was pleasant and efficient. AND, the coffee was ready right at 6 am, so we were able to be on our way ASAP. Loved it. Thank you.

We just needed a place to sleep on our trip up to Ohio. We liked this place, so we decided to stop for the night again on our way home. We liked it because it was reasonably priced and convenient, also had good morning breakfast offerings.

when we walked in the room the first thing I noticed was the ripped up chair. That did not give me a comfortable feeling. The welcome mat in the back of the motel was not welcoming it was completely worn out. At breakfast the milk was sour and they didn't even apologize. My cereal was ruined and not replaced. I also did not feel safe there.

The hotel is about what you’d expect from Super 8. The outside was less than stellar and the lobby was small. Breakfast was almost grab and go. The room was large, but could use a make over. Tub was worn, towels were threadbare, but the shower was very good.

Liked the convenience, the price, that it had breakfast, which was very limited and rather lame. The furniture in our room, a lazy boy chair, was in tatters. The vinyl was partially ripped off. But overall, it was a great place for an overnight stay during a trip. We'd stay again, as long as the price is still good.
