Property is run down. In the room the TV doesn’t work, WiFi is inoperative, there are cigarette burn holes in the bedsheets, open holes in wall and a black tarry substance in the ice bucket. Area is noisy and makes it difficult to sleep.

It didn’t have any bugs which was a plus, but it was dirty everywhere else. The sheets, blankets and room smelled like smoke. The pool was nasty and you couldn’t swim. Filtration system was off and it had mold and green algae growing in it. The baseboards, shower, mini fridge were gross and plug covers were missing from the plug ins, microwave was a little dirty and the phone didn’t have a cord. Blankets and sheets had burn holes in them. The floor was dirty, the shower rod was broken and we were only given two towels per day.

The app says this location would have a fitness room, one of the amenities I wanted. They do not, I was told they had never had one. My room looked like it was under current construction, the bath didn't drain so a shower turned into a 2-4 inch bath. The curtain rod was barely hanging on so there was water all over the floor after my shower. There was no bathmat either. The desk clerk was very friendly. Breakfast the next morning was nearly gone by the time I popped in around 9:00 with nothing but cereal, 3 bread heels and some muffins.

Breakfast only had two cereal options juice dispenser was only working for the apple juice the oj was coming out as water. The pool was closed everyday of my stay. Was told day one was due to cleaning and the other day due to rain. I could understand if there was lightning storm but just having rain falling out of the sky didn't make sense to close the pool since you get wet in a pool water from the sky wouldn't make a difference to me. The staff I dealt with was very friendly. The bathroom of the room I stayed in badly had a cracked shower ledge. Overall I give it two stars.

The motel is very run down, old furniture etc. One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Mold in the bathroom, musty smell, air conditioning old and loud. The pool was not usable (in August) and there is no fitness room as written on the side. Breakfast includes coffee, toast and muffins. There is nothing else, not even jam.

I know this is a budget hotel but it does not mean DIRTY. It was poorly maintained as well as the room as the so called FREE breakfast. Bad coffee, only toast abd biscuit was offered. A dirty plastic 1lb jar or marmelade, sticky everywhere and ditto for the butter. Both items were empty. That was the so called free breakfast. Rooms were dusrt and sheets were spotty. Rooms were noisy and the airco unit was overly noisy. Bad pub for Econo Lodge

After booking online, I was horrified at the condition of the entire hotel. The outside of the building showed damaged vents, garbage cans overflowing and poor maintenance. The front desk clerk sat behind a plexiglass partition. She was polite and cordial. That was the highlight of my interaction with Ecnolodge North. When I was given my pass keys to the room, the clerk said, "They're should be a microwave and a fridge in your room. If they are not there, let me know and I will have one brought up to you." (Cue Red Flag) Went into the room and when I moved the curtains, they fell down off the hooks. The floors did not look clean at all with the corners of the room having black mold and buildup that looked as if it had been there for months. There were holes in the walls. Microwave was punched in, and I didnt dare open the fridge. Upon entering the bathroom, the tub/shower was not clean, there were black stains in the corners of the bathroom, & rust stains on the walls. I went to call the front desk. When searching for the phone, I found it in the nightstand drawer. Between the phone a and the Bible I found what looked to be human excretions....white... that was it. I marched down to the front desk and stated there was NO WAY I could stay here with my child. Never again, will I trust the reviews from online sites. I WILL RESEARCH the reviews via google away from whatever app I happen to use.

The room was terrible. It was dirty, had roaches in the bedside stand, in the bathtub and on the floor. The facilities were unclean and the beds were very worn. We did not stay and demanded a refund and stayed elsewhere. I hope this is not the standard for Econo Lodge hotels.

It had black mold around the bathtub and behind the toilet. The smell was of mildew, and it was infested with BED BUGS. I was awakened by them biting me on the leg. They refused to reimburse full two days refund (only returned one night stay). When maintenance came into my room to inspect for the BED BUGS after pulling the bed out from the wall, there were used condoms and woman dirty panties discovered on the floor. WORST experience of a lifetime.

The only positive in this experience was the lady at the front desk. She was most helpful and extremely friendly. The nightmare started when we got to the room. The room was filthy. There was months worth of dirt in the bathroom floor/trim. The shower had multiple hairs everywhere. The bathroom walls were stained and splattered with god knows what. The light in the bathroom had not been cleaned since installed.... The shower curtain rod was broken and would not hold the curtain closed. Water splashed into the floor... However this was a good thing.. it at least loosed the filthy and dirt. The floors in the room had not been swept and had grit all over them. The sink faucet was partially attached. Blankets had holes. We had 1 wash cloth and 1 bath towel for 2 people. Again, check in with the lady was great. She was amazingly friendly and welcoming.... It was just the condition and maintenance of the room that was extremely poor.

This was the most disgusting motel I have ever stayed at in my life. Cockroaches dead and alive, mold everywhere in the bathroom, blood stains in the sheets, mystery stains all over the walls and chair. I cannot believe this place doesn't get shut down by the health department. Never ever again. I went cheap and paid the price.

The place was falling apart there were holes in the wall the room was missing a smoke detector the face on the microwave came off when you hit the button to use it the door was missing a screw there were roaches in the bathroom people walking through at all hours of the night being loud obviously on drugs would not recommend

We were warned by the lady at the front desk that our room didn’t look the cleanest, but she assured us it was clean. First, our key didn’t open the room door, so we had to get maintenance to let us into our room. Once we were in, we were mortified. There was mold on the ceiling, burnt cigarette holes in the blanket, exposed electrical wires, the smoke detector was missing, there was no toilet paper, the bathroom light didn’t work, and the whole place smelled like stale cigarettes. We lasted about 10 minutes total before we went back up to the front desk and checked out. The 3 hour drive home in the middle of the night was more desirable than attempting to survive the night in that terrifying room. We missed our event the following day and got home around 3am to avoid spending the night.

First room smelt like someone had smoked 20 packs of cigarettes even though i asked for a non smoking room. Also the bed bolt did not work. Got moved to a new room. This room was better. Smelt like mold and just stagnant. Walls were dirty. Bed did not have a mattress cover. I did not sleep u see any of the covers. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I did not feel safe at this establishment as there were a lot of homeless people hanging out in the parking lot. People selling things out of their cars in the parking lot. Just overall terrible place to stay. Tried to contact Hotels.com and they pretty much told me to deal with it or lose the money on the stay even though the images and description on the page were completely false.

Bed was worn out, not very comfortable. When i take a shower, water flood in tub - took a long time for it to go down. I reported it to front desk, they said the’ll send a maintenance guy, disnt show up. Few hours later i followed up with front desk, finally the guy came. I mentioned it needed a drano. Instead he used plunger. It didn't help. He left and didn't bother to solve the drainage matter. Breakfast was not fresh, seems to be leftovers and tasted old. Would be great they replaced the beds. Other than that its great!

My bed is sunk in and broken. The toilet is hard to flush, and has rust on it with a rust stain in the ground. The floors are not cleaned. The bedding has cigarette hold in it. The room was 84 degrees when I walked it.
My bed is sunk in and broken. The toilet is hard to flush, and has rust on it with a rust stain in the ground. The floors are not cleaned. The bedding has cigarette hold in it. The room was 84 degrees when I walked it.

You get less than what you pay for! The pictures posted to the listing are not at all what is actually provided. Got a King Non-smoking, but walked in and reeked of cigarette smoke. The bed was clean with new, clean sheets- but only 3 pillows and the mattress is VERY thin making it hard to sleep on. The curtains were tattered, limiting our privacy. There were holes in the walls. There was mold in our bathroom. The bathroom door looked as if someone had tried to rip it off the hinges. The TV in the room was poorly mounted to the wall and hanging on for dear life. The wall outlets by the bed did not work. The drawers were not cleaned out from the previous tenant- found an old pair of socks and plastic hanger from a new pack of socks. I've got pictures which have been provided to management. We were only staying one night, with a super late check in time. With spending less then 8 hours in my room before checking out, I'm very disappointed for the price I paid. Not to mention, the "continental breakfast" that was advertised was unwrapped chocolate chip muffins, dry slices of bread, and water.

We drove 3.5 hours to this establishment to only find out our reservation had been CANCELLED without our knowledge. We were able to get another room but the older lady behind the desk was SO RUDE in helping fix the issue. Then she tells me that she’ll give me the same rate I booked previously online for—how about I was charged $20 MORE! The breakfast was awful. The loitering homeless and drug addocts outside the hotel all hours of the night made us very uncomfortable. I would t recommend this place to anyone!

The front desk was rude and yelling at the Expedia employee on the phone .bad customer service the room was dirty and smell like marijuana people we’re hanging outside being loud. Don’t stay here the photos are not to be expected they are fake

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable my first night was awesome. Garbage needs to be done more often and house keeping left a huge bag of dirty something right outside my door along with an ice bucket. Pool needs lots of work hand rail isn’t even sturdy and a few other things needs repair. Second night noisy people had to have front desk take care of it not your fault some people shouldn’t be allowed in public.

My family and I drove down from Greenville, NC and was staying there for my daughters graduation party weekend. Once my self and my sister and children arrived, the receptionist said that they couldn't find our reservation. After asking more questions, he told us that since we didn't come right at 3pm(we walked in at 4:40pm) that our room was canceled. He also said that they run our cards at 4pm and since no money was taken off the cards that he gave our rooms away. We asked why he didn't call us and let us know, because since we were traveling, our cards were locked and that we had plans to pay in cash. He said it wasn't his job to call and notify. Then said he would callus around 5:45/6p, if he had anyone cancel. Then I asked in 40 mins our rooms were booked and sold. He said no that they had over booked for the weekend and since we were not in the hotel he had given our rooms away. He also stated that we could ride around and look for another hotel. We picked this hotel because it was 7 mins away from the graduation party and explained that to him. He was persistent that he had nothing to offer my sister and myself and that we could ride around and look for a open hotel. Needless to say we had to ride around Charleston for over a hour to look for a hotel for our family. Extremely unprofessional and disheartening. He also never called us.

Breakfast only had two cereal options juice dispenser was only working for the apple juice the oj was coming out as water. The pool was closed everyday of my stay. Was told day one was due to cleaning and the other day due to rain. I could understand if there was lightning storm but just having rain falling out of the sky didn't make sense to close the pool since you get wet in a pool water from the sky wouldn't make a difference to me. The staff I dealt with was very friendly. The bathroom of the room I stayed in badly had a cracked shower ledge. Overall I give it two stars.

Checked in, but they couldn’t find my 2nd room I reserved so they got us other. The guy made a photo copy of my license and my debt card. Okay awesome. Next day at breakfast, which wasn’t much, don’t let the online pictures fool you, there was hardly anything to eat, I check my bank account and it was almost drained. They charged me for the room, that they couldn’t find, but somehow managed to charge to my card along with our 2 rooms. A deposit, okay I can understand that and then two separate random charges. I talked to the guy behind the desk and he found the room that he couldn’t find last night and said he would refund me for it and then said he would refund me the deposit. Printed things out to show my bankers when we can get to them. Okay. Checked out a few hrs before we had to leave and skipped the breakfast. Waited and for some reason yesterday the 2 random charges got refunded, but not the unused room. Disputed charge because no sign of it being refunded after 4 days. They never had me swipe my card or sign anything. Do not trust this motel. Update: after the dispute being filed they immediately sent the refunds.

The smell of Marijuana was overpowering, my husband and I don't do drugs or anything but you can smell it when you get on the property and when you walk out of your room. The only good thing was rhe beds was comfortable but the furniture, fridge and microwave was ready for the dumpster. The staff was wonderful, location was good but getting in and out of the property you had to take your life in your own hands it was scary at best.

First off the hotel ran my card on file and since I did not move my money into my account for them they canceled my reservation so I had to rebook my stay. Staff was rude. Once my family and I got to our room it was nasty and unclean. Baby bottle of rotten apple juice left in fridge, something red inside the safe, toilet wouldn’t flush properly, the tub and bathroom walls were filthy, food crumbs in the chair and desk chair, mirror had spots on it and sink had hair in it. I took a video of the room but only took one photo of the safe. To top it off there what looked to be prostitution going on there and also my husband was approached by someone asking him if he wanted crack! We locked our door and wedged the desk chair under the door knob slept for the night and then checked out the next morning. No way were we staying another night with our 5 kids!! Thankfully we were refunded for the second night. The pictures definitely were deceiving and they did not offer breakfast per the amenities say. Very disappointed.

It generally felt unsafe. There were aggressive homeless people in the immediate area looking for a handout. I complained to the manager who ignored the problem and said there was nothing he could do except call the police, but they'd be right back.

The only nice thing was the hot water… No roaches in the room but outside and on the stairs. People stare at you all the time. They hang out in the balcony and watch you. Whenever we entered or left the room all of our stuff came with us. Also I’m fairly certain there are prostitutes all over. We did leave an expensive speaker in the room when we left in a hurry and the guy at the checkin counter found it and returned it to us.

I like that the man at the front desk and maintenance guy was good. However, the area is sketchy. I did not too much mind it, but I had family with me. It is not a safe place just to walk around the hotel or walk to the nearby restaurants.

The property has transients camped out in the front Abandoned vehicle and the side of the building Chainlink run down the side of the parking lot..looks like prison yard. Did not stay... Manager doesnt want to cancel booking with refund

Scary place, ghetto is what they call it. Didn’t sleep all night due to people outside. Many people outside, smoking and hanging out. Worse experience ever. I arrive late night in town and pick this place without reading the reviews. It is not safe there.

I didn’t stay it’s not safe there. I checked in and go to the room to see ppl standing out there doing drugs and drinking like that’s the hang out spot. Police was called and they said nothing they could do unless they was fighting. I wasn’t the only one that checked right out there was three other ppl that checked out first.

I know this is a budget hotel but it does not mean DIRTY. It was poorly maintained as well as the room as the so called FREE breakfast. Bad coffee, only toast abd biscuit was offered. A dirty plastic 1lb jar or marmelade, sticky everywhere and ditto for the butter. Both items were empty. That was the so called free breakfast. Rooms were dusrt and sheets were spotty. Rooms were noisy and the airco unit was overly noisy. Bad pub for Econo Lodge

The app says this location would have a fitness room, one of the amenities I wanted. They do not, I was told they had never had one. My room looked like it was under current construction, the bath didn't drain so a shower turned into a 2-4 inch bath. The curtain rod was barely hanging on so there was water all over the floor after my shower. There was no bathmat either. The desk clerk was very friendly. Breakfast the next morning was nearly gone by the time I popped in around 9:00 with nothing but cereal, 3 bread heels and some muffins.

The motel is very run down, old furniture etc. One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Mold in the bathroom, musty smell, air conditioning old and loud. The pool was not usable (in August) and there is no fitness room as written on the side. Breakfast includes coffee, toast and muffins. There is nothing else, not even jam.

Never had an issue with Econo before but never again will i stay, especially at this location. Hotel was dirty and not welcoming, bed sheets were stained, mini fridge and microwave probably never cleaned, bathroom had mold on walls, faucet on tub was stuck not allowing my wife to take a bath, picture frame was broken with the glass pieces still present, the breakfast was very minimal and basically gone by 630am. My family was here for a whole week (out of town dance comp) and due to tourist season we couldnt find another hotel. Id avoid this Econo or even the area itself. Definitely got a "hood" vibe from the area.

With spending less then 8 hours in my room before checking out, I'm very disappointed for the price I paid. Not to mention, the "continental breakfast" that was advertised was unwrapped chocolate chip muffins, dry slices of bread, and water.

First off the hotel ran my card on file and since I did not move my money into my account for them they canceled my reservation so I had to rebook my stay. Staff was rude. Once my family and I got to our room it was nasty and unclean. Baby bottle of rotten apple juice left in fridge, something red inside the safe, toilet wouldn’t flush properly, the tub and bathroom walls were filthy, food crumbs in the chair and desk chair, mirror had spots on it and sink had hair in it. I took a video of the room but only took one photo of the safe. To top it off there what looked to be prostitution going on there and also my husband was approached by someone asking him if he wanted crack! We locked our door and wedged the desk chair under the door knob slept for the night and then checked out the next morning. No way were we staying another night with our 5 kids!! Thankfully we were refunded for the second night. The pictures definitely were deceiving and they did not offer breakfast per the amenities say. Very disappointed.

A dive motel, pool was closed, (garbage floating in it). Many men sitting outside rooms, smoking and drinking with load music on til 2am. needed sleep to catch early flight, up impossible! Scary ! Very unpleasant.

Breakfast was nothing like the picture posted here. Probably 1/10 of it. This was the grossest hotel I have ever stayed at. They didn't have an ice machine, attendant said someone would bring some in 5-10 minutes, 20 minutes later now one had showed up. Ants and spiders in the room. The ceiling of the bathroom was collapsing and the tubs finish was almost entirely peeled off. People outside the room, including other guests, yelling and banging until all hours.
