The parking outside the room was really handy very clean rooms staff were really nice food was great would recommend the hotel one point it was hot in room could not alter any heating

Lovely hotel. Large, very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Food was very good having both evening meal and breakfast. Although Hotels.com website says there is air con there is actually no air conditioning in the executive double only in more expensive rooms. I checked hotel website and no there isn't so needs to be changed on Hotels.com website.

The staff were amazing and explained that there would be a wedding on the Saturday night, so maybe expect it to be bit noisy. Rooms are accessible from the car park - motel style. Lovely breakfast - with a sausage for the dog! Very large bed so room was a bit tight for space but had lots of storage.

2nd time staying at Beamish Park, the most dog friendly hotel. Staff were all so friendly. Food was really good, and dogs able to be in set locations in the restaurant. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Will definitely be back as it is literally 5 minutes in the car from Beamish

Only thing that would help is better phone and WFI connection not good

Lovely long weekend. Loved the patio doors and being able to park outside our room. Very warm weekend but patio doors allowed for cool air to circulate. WiFi kept failing but if in dining area WiFi was good.

Hotel needs modernising - pictures make it look 5/5 but needs work. Very focused on wedding market. Staff nice enough and would probably stay again if needed too but it wasn't what I expected. No AC in room and windows creaky to open, towel rail on 24/7 which when 85F outside makes it interesting...

Good room with car parked outside and patio doors to access the car. Large comfy bed.

Good location for Beamish Museum. Room and bathroom good, breakfast choices very good. Only strange thing is you have to walk through a wedding venue to access rooms and some rooms are in the wedding venue itself which is a bit strange. There was a wedding on while we were there but didn’t affect us as we were out early and back late

Staff were superb. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was the cleanest I have ever used in an hotel. Husband appreciated being able to park adjacent to room.

No pillow proctectors. Stained pillows and mattress. Asked cleaner to change pillows, which see did. Bedroom could have done with some updating.

Very friendly and very clean

First off, the staff at this hotel are brilliant and are worth their weight in gold! The hotel overall too was a nice place - great location, the common areas were tidy, the food in the restaurant delicious… it was just small things that let the room down a little. Dust/cobwebs in the corners of the room and dust around the edges of furniture where a hoover can’t quite reach. The side tables next to the bed are meant to be mounted to the walls, but both were leaning off slightly so things would slide off them. Also, super picky, but in this day and age of phones, smart watches etc. there are 0 plugs next to the bed/by the bedside tables. The back of the sofa in the room had a drink spilt on it at some point and was still there all down the back of it - not super noticeable I guess because whatever the drink was, it was brown, as was the sofa. There were a couple of stains on the curtains - some ominous looking ones right next to the bed… that’s all I’m gonna say. The curtains also protrude like a good 4 inches from the window, so let sunlight stream in waking you up the moment the sun starts to rise. The mattress on the bed is just a standard spring one which, to be fair, wasn’t too bad, just not the most comfortable. Stay overall was good. Would I be in a rush to come back? Probably not. Appreciate it’s hard, especially when it’s family run, but it does feel like the whole place needs a little bit of modernisation and brightening up.

The room it's self was fine BUT when we turned back the covers at 10:30 pm there was the most disgusting STAIN on the bottom sheet!!! It resembled dried blood but without proper analysis we may never know!! We then had to find a night manager (11pm) and have not only the sheet but also the mattress protector as well changed for clean bed linen. NOT a standard one would expect from any hotel let alone one which is part of the Hotels. com group. Upon reporting this disgusting episode to the receptionist in the morning the reaction was disbelief and shock. She offered her apologises and deducted £25 from the bill. The house keeping in this instance was deplorable and must be remedied to a much higher standard . Needless to say we will not be using Beamish Park Hotel in any future visits and will be very wary of Hotels. com. Photographs were left with the hotel but would be too gross to include with this review!!

Smooth check in, nice spacious room and bathroom, very clean. Staff very freindly and helpfull. Food really good. Food and drink reasonably priced. Overall very good.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Looking a little dated and need of a refresh. Very strange smell in the bar area and the floor on the bar and dining rooms are very ‘sticky’

The standard room size was good. It was clean, although some of the furniture was worn in places. Chips to the veneer. The fixed showerhead needed updating, water pressure was low. Breakfast was excellent value with plenty of choices. Would recommend. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. A great base for exploring the Beamish area. Would visit again.

Friendly and efficient cleaning and waiting staff ensuring spotless rooms and serving hearty and well cooked breakfasts, whilst overlooking rolling hills. Good sized and well equipped comfortable rooms with patio doors that lead straight to easy accessible parking outside of your accommodation (ground floor only.) Quiet hotel and location, with rooms set well back from the communal areas. Would have scored excellent but bath/shower was very high to climb into and with no grab rail slippy bath and stiff shower controls we found this quite a challenge. Next upgrade, I’d suggest replacing with just a walk in shower. Also, the addition of one socket per room with usb device would make an inexpensive but worthy addition. Overall, a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

hotel excellent a little dated but staff freindly and helpfull room was first class as i said room a little dated but it was clean and everything was there even tooth brushes would i stay again the answer is a positive YES

Enjoyed our stay. Room was lovely. We had a suite so we had plenty space. Mattress could have been more comfortable. Service in restaurant was great.

Hotel was a little dated, however, the staff and service was second to none. We also booked dinner in the bistro and that was absolutely delicious. Bistro was very nice and staff were excellent, delivering excellent service. Nothing was to much bother. We asked for lattes after our meal to drink in the lounge next door to the Bistro, and staff were very accommodating. We will definitely stay again. Great place to stay

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and the customer service on reception is equally on par. Booked a double bed and got 2 single beds pushed together. No ideal with a pregnant partner. Very uncomfortable and the worst bed I ever slept in. It’s like having a dip on the bed. Didn’t get a wink of sleep at all. Brought the issue up with the receptionist on the morning to be told every hotel does this and it’s stand practice. Spoken to like I was an idiot. Got no offer of a refund or any discount. You book these things for a little break we feel like we need a little break to get over the break we just had. Drained from no sleep at all and on edge my partner wound fell through. Surely a risk assement need done for these beds. Again receptionist didn’t want to entertain my complaint at all just made it like I was stupid thinking I ordered a double bed. Toilet seat didn’t stay up so you had to see down to pee if your a man. Other horrible thing is the fact there’s no plugs near your bedside. Food on the night times were spot on. Friendly staff, and can’t fault them. Very nice. Breakfast was a nightmare. Got showed to a table which was wet which had just been cleaned but still dirty to the fact the lady flicked the remaining crumbs on to my lap.

We stayed at the Beamish Park Hotel for two nights as it is ideally located for a visit to Beamish museum. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. We had breakfast and one dinner at the hotel and the food was good. The bar and dining areas were nicely decorated and comfortable. On the negative side, we really didn’t like having to walk through the wedding venue to get to our room and didn’t like that some of the rooms were actually located directly off this area. Also, the hotel is not very appealing from the outside. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and would definitely return.

All hotel staff professional, friendly and helpful. Receptionist provided us with a good discount on local attractions, maps and an easier alternative drive. Restaurant offer varied and chef is creative

We arrived at the Beamish Park Hotel after being involved in a accident (no injury) but with a non drivable hired car. The staff greated us with empathy and with a couple of platter of sandwichs and drinks. It was so refreshing and welcoming since we were exhausted from the ordeal.

A family run hotel, with a family feel. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Beamish Park Hotel, it was perfect for our visit as we wanted to visit Durham and Beamish Museum.A lovely room with a very comfortable bed,good parking outside our room.We both really enjoyed the breakfasts, which had a great choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, full English, porridge, eggs and toast.Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is easy to find, and ideally located for visiting Beamish Museum. It is very attractive, and the bar and restaurant areas have great views westwards over the valley. Each ground floor room has its own car parking slot - wonderful! The staff are friendly and helpful, and a small bonus for me, the malt whisky is cheaper than the pub down the road .... I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area, there was nothing I did not like.

Lovely place, friendly staff and comfortable room, food was good, out in the countryside near a golf course, so not for those wanting nightlife. I will definitely stay here again and bring golf clubs for driving range

A lovely country hotel not to far from Newcastle good base to stay and explore the area by car or public transport.

Ideal for visiting the nearby Beamish museum , lovely cooked breakfast in the morning with beautiful views and surroundings, but not in walking distance to anything, lovely place to stay though for a couple of nights

We stayed for two nights in this very nice hotel. We had a room on the ground floor where we were able to get the car parked right outside of the room , so didn't have to go far with luggage etc. The staff were really good and helpful. We had breakfast twice and an evening meal during our stay, the food and service were first class. We were visiting the Beamish Museum during our stay so it was very handy for that being only about five minutes drive away. We will certainly use this hotel again.

Warm welcome at reception, lovely spacious room which was clean and warm. It might just have been my choices from the menu but the evening meal was quite poor, very bland, poorly seasoned food which left me very underwhelmed. Fresh coffee for breakfast which is always a bonus.

Perfect for 3 couples on a weekend get together. Decent size rooms with parking outside room and patio window. Lovely staff always pleasant. Good breakfast and had meal in restaurant one night was very good. Great location for Beamish and Tanfield Steam railway (Sunday and Bank Holidays only) NB Early close for dinner on Sundays 6pm
