Location, location, location with an amazing room terrace looking out to the Cathedral Giralda rooftop bars rooftop pool with same views. We were fine but accessibility would be fine for some as lift kept breaking (4 times we were aware of in 6 days) and only one bar open on the roof where we mostly had to carry our own drinks up and down several staircases to take them to the quieter terrace by the pool. Staff only offered to help carry or bring drinks over twice most of the time we had to cope. It’s a stunning hotel and location can’t be beaten but details on service just felt a bit lack-lustre / careless although everyone was very friendly and lovely.

The hotel’s location was great, but that’s about it. Our stay started poorly when we were given a room without a shower, though they did upgrade us to a larger room (fourth floor). However, it was right below a noisy terrace bar, and the room wasn’t soundproof. The gym was small, outdated, and not well-maintained. The spa was even worse—we paid €60 per massage plus €25 for spa access, only to be rushed out after 30 minutes without prior notice. The hotel refused to offer any reimbursement. Accessing the gym and spa was inconvenient, requiring guests to step outside—even in the rain—to reach a separate elevator. The layout felt poorly designed and hazardous. Staff engagement was minimal unless we were complaining. Overall, the hotel felt overpriced and more like a 3-star than a 5-star. We wouldn’t recommend staying here.

You will love the location of this hotel. Nice pool with the view of the cathedral. Very friendly staff. Rooms are small which are expected in the old town, but everything was clean and comfortable.

I love the rooftop and the location of this hotel and the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. However, I think the hotel could do with a bit of an update. There is some obvious wear and tear around the hotel, the pool has some bits falling off of it and some of the steps are cracked. We had to call reception at 5pm as our room had not been cleaned yet. We had a great stay but think overall it could have been better for a 5 star hotel.

Firstly the location was excellent. We walked everywhere and the maximum walking time for us to get somewhere was 15 minutes. Other than that the staff was outstanding, helped us with everything we needed and they never fail to put a smile on our faces. The rooms and the hotel was really clean and modern. The terrace bar was astonishing with the views of the Cathedral. Overall it was a pleasure for us to stay there and would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s going to Seville.

We had an amazing stay at EME Catedral Mercer Hotel in Seville! From start to finish, the service was top notch. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, the manager even reserved us a table at their beautiful rooftop terrace, which offers absolutely breathtaking views. One of the highlights was the pool that overlooks the cathedral such a unique and peaceful spot to relax, especially at sunset. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, right in the heart of the city with everything within walking distance. Our room was excellent: stylish, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we felt truly looked after throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Seville we’ll definitely be back!

The stairs is dangerous due to lack of lighting and there was no hand rail. There was a construction going on during the operation. The rooms are not very clean. The breakfast buffet was over priced for the foods they served.

La ubicación fue inmejorable y la atención del staff excelente. En recepción nos ayudaron a reservar todas las atracciones, fueron increíblemente amables y pacientes con todas nuestras preguntas y nos hicieron sentir verdaderamente bienvenidos en la ciudad. 5/5 estrellas. En cuanto a la habitación, nos pareció que estaba un poco descuidada en especial el baño que tenía un olor poco agradable al llegar y se notaba viejo y mal cuidado. Si el único problema hubiese sido el mantenimiento de las habitaciones, le habría dado 4 estrellas, sin embargo, la última noche de la estadía a eso de las 2 am, empezamos a escuchar gritos y golpes afuera de la habitación y en una de las paredes que compartíamos con la habitación del lado. Después de unos 10 minutos de esto, lo que sonaba cómo varios hombres en estado de ebriedad empezaron a golpearnos la puerta con mucha fuerza y a gritarnos cosas. Mientras yo llamaba muy asustada a la recepción, mi esposo se puso al lado de la puerta, en caso de que lograran abrirla, poder retenerla mientras llegaba seguridad. Fue una experiencia horrible y nos hizo sentir muy inseguros…. Los gritos fuera del cuarto siguieron un rato más hasta que después de unos 30 min por fin se callaron…. Definitivamente, a mi parecer la seguridad debió haber intervenido mucho antes y más rápido, y jamás permitir que estas personas incomodaran e intimidaran a otros huéspedes. Me parece que fue una situación inaceptable.

I upgraded my room to a suite with a view. The first day was great. The two fallowing nights the room was not clean with glass still at the floor from a broken bottle. When we got at the hotel at 6:00 pm the next day I requested for the room to be clean because there was still glass on the floor. They came and clean the room and left the floors wet and because the door was wet I suffer a horrible fall hitting my head and lower back. I couldn’t seat or walk. They can careless!!! I requested a refund of this two nights. They ruin my vacations. I have a bruise in my back and suffer a concussion. They can careless and told me that I book a room with no refund policy... really??! Is not the money is the principle that they can careless and they will get away with bad service. I needed to delay my trip one week because I can’t seat. Hotels can get away with substandard conditions because they will not be accountable. This is a top hotel in the area and I was in one of their best rooms. I’m a physician and have severe osteoporosis so I know this is the beginning of a long painful recovery and they can careless. My mother and daughter trip was ruin!!! HORRIBLE!!! Do not stay in this hotel! Sevilla was 104F and their AC was not working and the rooms were not clean. Is incredible!!

Great location since it was next to the Giralda tower and many restaurants were located around the area. Also walking distance to the tram station or bus tours pick up/ drop off stations. Comfortable beds and great AC unit. Hard to find an actual AC that really cools down the room in Europe. Very quiet rooms. Easy check in and they were very helpful booking tours at the reception for you. Rooms was clean but shower area needed some attention for mold

This property was amazing . It was super central and the views of the cathedral were breath taking. I stayed in the Junior suite with the private terraza ( I requested it ) it was the nicest room in the hotel and it felt like a dream. Book this place today ! The only thing I want to say is if you have a hard time sleeping due to small noise then maybe you won’t like this place . At night I could hear people on the streets but it wasn’t loud I slept fine

Very high highs and very low lows. Service is excellent at the reception and in the restaurant — professional, attentive, and efficient. Unfortunately, the room is a major disappointment. The shower water constantly alternates temperature at all times of the day, making showering unpleasant. The room layout is incomprehensible: there is space, but no proper wardrobe; one side of the bed has no bedside table; the toilet and shower areas are large, yet the sink has no usable counter space.Although the windows are double-glazed, they do not effectively block street noise at night. The location of this hotel is perfection and I loved the room. The area is loud so earplugs are a good idea. Also for those coming from a cooler climate, we found the room a bit warm even with the thermostat turned all the way down. Still would highly recommend and stay again. Such a neat spot!

The location was perfect. Our room was overlooking the Catedral de Seville. All main sights are within walking distance, averaging 10 minutes, with the cathedral and alcazar 1 and 2 minutes away. Lots of great small restaurants with amazing food nearby and reasonable prices. We loved being able to return to the room for short breaks, outfit changes or bathroom stops without disruptions to our day. We had booked the suite with view as we were traveling with our adult children. This consists of two rooms with their individual bathrooms. The main suite is spacious with separate bathroom and seating areas. The second room which is a standard room is a bit tight and had no closet, and very little room to get around the bed. Since we were mostly out and about and only returned to sleep, this did not pose a real issue for us. Rooms were very clean (and we are picky). Bathroom was very clean and sinks are separate - more efficient when getting ready. A couple of things to note: 1) the TVs were not connected to anything other than displaying a welcome message. It would have been good to have it for end of day but no major impact as we wanted to maximize our sightseeing time. 2) storage space is limited: only one closet with two small drawers in the suite and no closet or dresser in the standard room. 3) wifi was good for texting but a bit spotty for streaming. My husband and I chose to stay at the EME Catedral Mercer hotel for our week long stay in Seville for our wedding. The service was impeccable- the staff was so attentive to our needs and the many many many needs of over 25 other guests we had staying at the hotel. They helped us coordinate a private brunch on one of the roof terraces and also helped us with some transportation. We were also able to seamlessly store our luggage and my wedding dress with the hotel while we were gone for a few nights on our honeymoon, and then returned back to stay in Seville for one more night. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and personable and could not recommend staying here enough! Beautiful views, perfect location, and truly stunning rooms and accommodations. We cannot say thank you enough!!

Firstly the location was excellent. We walked everywhere and the maximum walking time for us to get somewhere was 15 minutes. Other than that the staff was outstanding, helped us with everything we needed and they never fail to put a smile on our faces. The rooms and the hotel was really clean and modern. The terrace bar was astonishing with the views of the Cathedral. Overall it was a pleasure for us to stay there and would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s going to Seville.

The Doorman was completely rude. They need a better system for roof top access, and guest entry. We stayed to nights and every time we walked in the doorman would be extremely rude and stop of from going in. We had to show our room card just to get in. Our shower would also leak onto the floor. The front desk team was some what helpful , they served us a glass of Cava upon arriving so that was nice .

La ubicación fue inmejorable y la atención del staff excelente. En recepción nos ayudaron a reservar todas las atracciones, fueron increíblemente amables y pacientes con todas nuestras preguntas y nos hicieron sentir verdaderamente bienvenidos en la ciudad. 5/5 estrellas. En cuanto a la habitación, nos pareció que estaba un poco descuidada en especial el baño que tenía un olor poco agradable al llegar y se notaba viejo y mal cuidado. Si el único problema hubiese sido el mantenimiento de las habitaciones, le habría dado 4 estrellas, sin embargo, la última noche de la estadía a eso de las 2 am, empezamos a escuchar gritos y golpes afuera de la habitación y en una de las paredes que compartíamos con la habitación del lado. Después de unos 10 minutos de esto, lo que sonaba cómo varios hombres en estado de ebriedad empezaron a golpearnos la puerta con mucha fuerza y a gritarnos cosas. Mientras yo llamaba muy asustada a la recepción, mi esposo se puso al lado de la puerta, en caso de que lograran abrirla, poder retenerla mientras llegaba seguridad. Fue una experiencia horrible y nos hizo sentir muy inseguros…. Los gritos fuera del cuarto siguieron un rato más hasta que después de unos 30 min por fin se callaron…. Definitivamente, a mi parecer la seguridad debió haber intervenido mucho antes y más rápido, y jamás permitir que estas personas incomodaran e intimidaran a otros huéspedes. Me parece que fue una situación inaceptable.

Très bel hôtel Mais ne s’intéresse pas au client pour l’exploration touristique Il n’y a aucune information touristique dans l’hôtel. Aucune information , aussi ,avant le voyage pour signaler que les billets pour visiter l’alcazar ou la cathédrale doivent être pris bien à l’avance et extrêmement difficiles à obtenir sur place. Nous avons dû faire 4 heures de queue pour en obtenir et donc perdre une matinée de visite et mon épouse n’a pas pu prendre son petit déjeuner , ce qui n’a pas troublé la réception de l’hôtel.et ce qui ne nous a pas permis de faire notre programme prévu. Il est désolant qu’un hôte 5 étoiles ait si peu soucis de ses clients

It’s a historic hotel in a very good location - short walking distance to main attractions. Very nice roof top. However, very loud at night (which is due to the area b/c of bars and church bells). I wouldn’t say this is a luxury property but a great, clean hotel based on location. Property needs a some maintenance.

This is a wonderful place to stay for several reasons. Close to everything, the staff is wonderful, friendly and professional. They give you all kinds of advice when you check in so you maximize your time here in Sevilla. The included breakfast is amazing, the view from the rooftop bar of the cathedral is fantastic and the onsite restaurants are just as good

A great hotel in a fabulous location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. A small criticism would be on the breakfast, which is quite moderate in terms of range and quality. But we would certainly stay here again.

The room was clean but the sofa in the room looked old and worn. There was even a hole in it which really brought down the presentation of the room. The male staff were friendly and helpful but the ladies at the reception desk were not very helpful. For example, when I inquired about laundry, one of the ladies just said I had to keep it in my room (although I had been instructed by someone else to take it downstairs), and when dealing with this matter, the woman at the reception desk simply repeated herself without adding further detail. Eventually, somehow I learned that the laundry service was outsourced and they had nowhere to hold it until the following Monday. Our phone didn’t work and I was trying to communicate by text through Expedia with the hotel and they would not respond there either. They did respond to one of my requests by bringing an iron to my room, but they did not text any replies leaving me feeling ignored. The pizza in their restaurant was great.
