Hoover Dam Lodge

I feel like a VIP every time I stay here. Parking is close, EV chargers everywhere. No hustle and bustle like in the Vegas Valley or on the Strip, but we can still get anywhere within 15 to 30 minutes. Parking is free! Drink prices are less than a third of what you will find in the other casinos.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not hot (quite cold actually), nor did the jets function. It was a nice, comfortable room and the location was quite close to the Hoover Dam.

The staff was super friendly, and the convenience store is really cheaply priced, great for late night runs! it is very outdated, but nice if you like the 80s ski resort aesthetic. The view is beautiful, and you can hike down to the railroad trail from the parking lot. Best by far, however, is their gym. It is fully stocked(in hotel gym terms) with dumbbells up to 75, a cable machine, 3 benches, mats, and a lot of cardio machines! It’s 24 hours a day as well!! Overall very cozy and a great affordable option!

It was the quietest Casino I have ever stayed in. The price was right but all of the ice machines were broken.

Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. The rooms were slightly dated but very clean and had excellent views. Pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Moments from lake mead and few minutes from downtown Boulder City made it very convenient.

The facility itself is extremely nice. But they have no ice machines on the floors you have to go to the front desk for ice. There are no restaurants for sit down meals. They do have a couple snack bars but they are poorly stocked. They have no pit for poker, roulette, craps, etc. Its all high cost machines. It does have a nice swimming pool. It saddens me to write this review because we've been coming here for years and the decline in amenities is heartbreaking.

We are return guests of this hotel. We appreciate many things about it, but we see signs that it may not be able to continue. The restaurant was closed - as far as we can tell it is closed permanently. Food is available, but not a restaurant. Not a good situation especially when no other restaurants are available without a 20-30 minute drive. Additionally, one of the two elevators in the tower we we in was not operating. Since there were only a few people staying there it was not a big deal. However we were there on week days so it might be an issue on weekends. Security for the car - not confident in the arrangements. AC was loud and the TV speakers soft - not a good combo. I wish I could be more positive, but we might not be coming back.

The pool was not working. The one rest

Hoover Dam Lodge was a great stayover on our way back from the Grand Canyon. Very comfortable and clean accommodation and very friendly staff. Has a good pool and gym.

Hoover Dam, Boulder Ciry, Arizona Border are all close. Swing/Evening shift staff was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable,& hospitable. The morning shift was NOT. Complete opposite...rude even. The hotel is old but decently maintained. Pool is outside shaded by building, open until 11pm. 24 hr workout room was nice with up to date equipment. The General Store open 24 hr has souvenirs, drinks, & snacks. The eating establishments advertised as 24 hr do NOT actually cook food; more like frozen dinner meals. We went into town (must have car) but go before 10pm because Boulder City shuts down after that. The standard room was clean, bed comfortable, had refrigerator and microwave, the shower water pressure was a drip literally and when brought this to front desk attention long delayed wait for "would you like me to send someone to fix it?" Hmmm. Yes the morning staff was unpleasant. Considering that the hotel was like a ghost town expected a little more. Last, a third party kayaking co. is located in the hotel...that the morning staff seemed to not know anything about it. The store was open/closed throughout day, never made it out kayaking due to road closed to beach, but seemed like it would have been legit. So hiking, padding, eating, and big lake which we had partial view of was all great adventures outside the hotel and would say it's cool for a day or two.

Clean room and great reception

Had a great stay! The room was clean and nice with plenty of room. Friendly staff and so many beautiful places to see nearby. Had a fun time playing video poker in the casinos. I’d stay here again and look forward to my next stay!

when we arrived no one was in the reception.I have to stand for a while and wait.I called the receptionist sitting at the side.In the room there was an open newly popped popcorn on the ground.5 pcs. of facial tissue by the sink and a tear on the bedsheet.It was 9pm and my family was tired to change the room.

Sheets on bed stained and shower head was so gross we couldn’t even use it. We were just passing thru and needed to sleep and shower, nothing fancy. Pretty disappointed we couldn’t even do that.

The rooms were outdated and dirty. Not like the pictures at all. The shower handle had bolts falling off. The walls were disgusting and had old blood smeared on them.

Wonderful place to stay and close to Lake Mead. Staff is wonderful, rooms are cozy and clean.

They don’t clean the room every day , only every three days so if you stay there for four days they won’t clean it because you leaving after the third day , they don’t pick up the trash unless you call them to do it , rooms stink and when they offer lake view they don’t tell you that the “ view” is just a tiny piece on the window , also the hotels.com it’s not accurate , the three restaurants they said they have now are only slots machines and they offer frozen food , when you go to the bar and ask for a drink , you need to wait for 30 minutes before have another one , they don’t have ice machines , you need to go to the front desk to ask for ice and they will give you a small amount and you just entitled to two serves of ice when it’s a 115 degrees outside , overall terrible terrible stay , I don’t recommend it at all , the only good thing about is just there by the lake

Walking into the hotel lobby you are hit with the smell of cigarettes. There is no designated smoking area, the entire first floor is the designated area. The nonsmoking room was fine. Housekeeping didn’t come by everyday to empty trash or change/replenish towels/washcloths. However it is only 35-40 minutes from Las Vegas and close to Boulder City. 3/5 stars.

Staff was very friendly; however, rooms were very dated and dirty. The carpet had not been swept, the bathroom floor was disgusting (hair, dirt on floor), stains on walls.

Not nice. WiFi didn’t work

This is a great economical place to stay if you’re visiting the dam or want to stay outside LV. The rooms are a bit outdated but who cares. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The TV didn’t work when I checked in but it was replaced within 15 minutes of me letting them know about the problem. That was outstanding.

We went on a family trip to the Hoover Dam. First when you get to the doors, they are dirty.. then you walk in and get hit with old smoke, mildew and cleaning products. The room was comfortable-ish. The beds were kings. There were 3 SMALL pillows on each bed. That was aggravating. The bed frames were also very creaky. But all of that was liveable until the curtains happened. Oye. They did not close all of the way and we were facing the 'lake'. That is the room we paid for. But we were facing the parking lot. And if we looked to the left corner, there was the lake. Come morning time, I was for sure facing the sun. Super crappy. That makes the whole stay worse. It could have been all so much better. Perfect. And this would have been a big deal. Huge bummer.

We were traveling as a family to see the Hoover Dam. This property was the best place to stay to get there early, best the crowds, get tickets for the tour. The lobby was impressive and the pool was refreshing (and open until 11!) The kids were shocked at the general smell of cigarette smoke. We were all taken aback at how outdated the room felt. Old carpet, one floral loveseat. And unfortunately there was no breakfast included, though we knew that when we made our reservations. I wish we could have spent a little more time exploring the hotel, because it seemed to have a lot of character, but we were eager to get to the Dam and happy to be so close.

Nice hotel. Has lots of pictures with the history of the area and the dam all around the lobby and casinos. The “restaurants” that they claim to have are a lot like the food stands in an airport. They weren't the sit-down and be waited on type of restaurants that they make them appear to be. Very disappointed with that. Booked a room with “lake views”…. If you stood right up against the window and looked hard to the left, you could see water. Other than that, it was just a view of the parking lot. At the front desk, the first girl, who checked us in, was very quiet. We had to ask her two or three times to repeat herself so we knew what she was saying. When we talked with the second lady, she acted like we should have known the answers to our questions. Rather condescending to us and others. Overall, its a mostly clean older hotel where you can rest after a long day of visiting Hoover Dam.

The hotel was nice and clean and the room was pretty good even when booking the lowest price room. It was nice and convenient to have a microwave and a fridge. The microwave was good quality. The view of the lake was beautiful.

Roooms are very spacious

Our room in the tower with a lake view was HUGE! All was very clean and comfortable, including the mattress. As is typical for casinos, the ground level/lobby/casino smelled strongly of smoke, but the room and hallways did not. We received vouchers for 2 coffee's downstairs, but would have preferred a coffee maker in the room. Maybe it was due to it being mid-week in winter, it was very quiet everywhere. Location was perfect for being at the dam in time for an early tour. You will have to go off-property for a full meal, but there was bar food available. Price was a good value. Despite not being gamblers, we would stay here again.

When we got there there was no one at the desk. We waited 5 minutes for someone to show up. When they came out they wanted to know what we wanted. Not if they could help us check in.

The room was nice and clean. Betty at the front desk was amazing, she was super nice and gave us a great overview of the area. Thank you Betty!

Checking in was really bad. Only one desk clerk and I was behind four people. I waited for at least 45 minutes before I was checked in. My impression was that the computer system was not operating properly. The one clerk could not deal with all the issues quickly. Some of my information was not transferred to them from Travelocity and needed to be manually entered. The room itself was only so-so. It is part of a casino so the price was reasonable.

Customer Service was incredible! The most accommodating and friendly staff we have ever experienced in the hotel business ever.

Check in lady was awesome, full of information and very helpful.

I didn’t like the night staff that was up front. She was very rude and made it difficult to check in. The water wasn’t cold and I had two kids that barely could take a shower because it was hot. Was not worth the $170 that I spent

Check in was world class. Lady at desk took extra time to make sure my stay was best. This lady was so impressive!

The property smells strongly of cigarettes. I had a cockroach type bug in my bathroom. The front desk lady (can’t remember her name, long, thick blond hair) was very rude from the moment we walked in. We got to the front desk and instead of checking us in was telling us to grab a luggage rack and that we should have used the handicap door. I told her several times I did not want a luggage rack and just wanted to check in. The check in process was somehow incorrect and she had to re-enter all of the information I had already entered via the Expedia app. Not sure if their system is just old or if she was continuing to be difficult. The rooms were booked together but she rudely asked me to go and get checked in with the other front desk staff and then proceeded to ask what my problem was. We ended up having a loud argument as she continued to be rude and unhelpful. She finally adjusted her attitude and gave us good food recommendations and told us about where to see the goats. The property surrounding the hotel was beautiful and conveniently located next to the Hoover Dam. Boulder City is a sight to behold and I highly recommend walking around in that cute little town.

The entrance area and the front desk staff are very nice and welcoming. That is where pretty everything ends in terms of positive impressions. The advertised dining opportunities at the hotel/ casino are literally absent unless you accept a fast food/ appetizer mix as ‘dining’. The bars carried no draft beers and the staff at the entrance was apparently unaware of that fact. The elevator didn’t have an inspection certificate displayed which usually wouldn’t be anything I would make a deal of but it seems as if only one elevator was actually operational (and there was no sign displayed that the other one was out of order, it just never seemed to move). The room, while relatively spacious, felt dated, no amenities such as a coffee maker (you get two vouchers for a couple for free coffee on the first floor). The bathroom was clean but the offered toiletries were in small plastic flasks, an environmentally irresponsible way, and - in my opinion - again not really contemporaneous practice. All in all the hotel had the feel that there was no investment made to upgrade the facility in years or decades. While the external appearance of the hotel from the road looks actually appealing, once you enter it feels as if this hotel is on the verge of shutting down.

The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant every time we interacted with them. Close proximity to the Hoover Dam was great. The ability to hike a trail from the property was also nice.

Great place to stay with only a short drive to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. The rooms were dated, but pretty clean. The front desk staff was very friendly.

A great spot near a bunch of interesting areas! There’s even a hiking trail in their parking!

This property is fantastic if boat parking and being close to Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. Stay in the Deluxe rooms with microwaves and refrigerator for easy breakfast you will need to Uber or disconnect your boat to go into town for a sit down dinner.

So far good to stay and very much closer to the Hoover dam. Better to hiking and morning walks.

Frienfly staff, close to the lake and the hike to the hoover dam is unique, big and clean rooms and also the free coffee, we love this place as much as we love Las Vegas

View of Lake Mead, very close to the entrance of the park view of Boulder, city, Nevada, and access to other points of interest Such a state parks I was there with a plain air group it was really nice place to paint. We did order some nachos and appetizers. It took what half an hour. I don’t know if it was delivered by DoorDash because that’s how it was put on the table stacked in 2 bags as if from another restaurant

This hotel is close to the hoover dam. Resonably priced, great location, clean room, soft beds and a nice sized gym. I'd definitely stay again!

Near the Hoover Dam.

The property is okay, but dining choices were near nonexistent! Restaurant had closed, another spot only had 1 egg roll, period, available! We stayed after the wknd crowd! Very quiet.

Extremely friendly people, a very nice room, very spacious with a good view. It claims to have 4 restaurants but it doesn’t. There are some limited menus for some warmed up apps but nothing fresh. We ordered pizza from Boulder City.

Everything about the place was just okay. The main restaurant was not open (which was not on the website) so you had to eat in one of 5 casino rooms. It was basically takeout which was fine. The beds were comfortable! But the wifi was not very strong and the TV was poor but I guess you are supposed to be there to gamble. Most of the staff was quite friendly but a couple of people looked like they did not want to be there. Overall just okay!

Good stay. The room wasn’t anything fancy but it was clean and affordable. Great location for us as we had an early morning excursion booked with Blazin’ Paddles, which is located on the main floor of the hotel. Cute and affordable General Store located inside the hotel. Food options weren’t great. The restaurants ran out of food early in the evening and what they did have wasn’t all that tasty…the front desk even recommended dining options offsite. Front desk staff were wonderful!

The room was very clean, the staff extremey courteous and helpful. We have stayed there before and loved it. However, they no longer have a restaurant, only bar food that is not very good. We were looking forward to eating at the Bighorn cafe because the food and service was good. They closed the restaurant. I won't stay there again until they reopen the restaurant. Such a pity because it is a beautiful hotel with many amenities.

No restaurant!! No cats allowed!!! The whole check in was a nightmare because the advertising was misrepresented!!!! The Hotel itself is lovely.

The casino is very small, which is nice if you don’t want to do a lot of walking. It wasn’t busy so having a really small casino floor didn’t matter. We found out the hard way they shut down their restaurant June 2024. So they advertise that they have all these little restaurants which is false advertising and they should really stop doing that. What they have Are snack bars in different flavors like Mexican Chinese American but it’s all pre-cooked frozen and when you order it, they warm it in the microwave. The employees are tired and most of them have very low morale which I understand because the hotel is dead so they’re not making any money But if you want a quiet little getaway without crowds without feeling like you’re at a truckstop, hotel and casino this place will work. But you need to plan on either bringing your own food or going into Boulder to get a decent fresh cooked meal.
