We visited family in Winchester and booked two rooms. The staff were friendly and efficient, The service station is small enough to be easy to get around and nothing's too far away. We have stayed before, on the South side, but easily navigated the service roads between the two. Very good value.

Grateful there was a member of staff in the office to check me in close to 2 am. No Days Inn spaces left so parked in main car park, only a little further away and well lit. After a long day I needed peace and quiet and got these from room 5 at the back of the building. All on one floor so no stairs to negotiate in my sleepy state. Glad I added an hour onto my check out time; leaving at midday and only £10 extra. Took the discounted offer of paying £7.50 for £10 worth of breakfast items at either McDs or Costa as the services prices are higher than a local McD and Costa. The friendly lady cleaner and man manager tried to help fix the stuck bath button, so had a refreshing shower instead. I would stay at Days Inn North again as the price is good too.

Bathroom is tired and requires refreshing. Location is poor with limited parking and on dual carriageway. Food on site is not best and expensive. Eat somewhere else or have food with you

Parking was easy, with easy access to the 24/7 services next door. I had to wait a while for the staff to come back to the reception to check me in. The bedroom smelt like someone had been cooking in there that day.

Not a good place to stay. An infestation of flies (yes in December) throughout hotel including the bedroom. Plug socket hanging off wall, hand soap out, shower boiling & had to spend ages getting it even usable, no tea bags & coffee (given when asked, but no apology). Was a one night stay so bearable but wouldn't return.

Absolutely awful experience - the room (No. 31) had a strong smell of mould that clung to everything. I had to wash all my clothes afterwards because of the stench. Maybe other rooms are better, but I seriously doubt it – be cautious and check before staying!

Unfortunately room 8 had a damp smell which was very noticeable on entry and also there’s specks of black mould on the bathroom ceiling and cobwebs in the corner of the room. Was expecting a premier inn type budget hotel but this was far below my expectations and I will not be booking again.

Very noisy at night with the Lorries passing outside. Very cold room and only 1 small electric heater which didn’t warm the room at all. The hairdryer was broken and didn’t switch on. The floor was unclean and the carpet hadn’t been hoovered properly. (There was a used plaster and a glow stick under the table area) No plug sockets next to the bedsides.

We booked four rooms at this hotel and unfortunately had a really poor experience. The first room had a broken bed as soon as we entered. The second room smelled awful, and despite complaining, we weren’t moved until the following morning — which meant staying the night in a stinking room with a child. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking on site. Room was all set up for 3 people when we arrived which was helpful. Limited plug sockets which makes charging devices tricky (we had to unplug the TV in the end) and the shower wasn't very hot in the morning but overall was a good low cost place to stay.

Very simple - and cheap - accommodation when the family had to break a journey. The rooms were clean and importantly quiet. No luxury but a comfortable clean beds in a quiet room. Perfect for a nights rest.

In need of a bit of TLC, but you get what you pay for and this was half the price of other hotels. The room was a good size, and very quiet. Unfortunately, the radiator wasn't working, and the member of staff on reception didn't seem too bothered.

I booked a delux room with one double bed and the photo showed a sofa in the room. I got a room with one double and one single bed and no sofa. The reception said there was no such room as I had booked at this hotel. ? The bath/ shower only had the hot tap working so the shower became very hot and was unable to cool it. Otherwise a very comfortable and quiet night.

Just one night, only its convenience made me book this at short notice. For that it was acceptable but really the price reflected the condition. Aged, in need of refurbishment and updating. A damp musty smell emanated from the bathroom so opening the windows and keeping the bathroom door closed freshened the bedroom. Thankfully it was a warm night. The staff were friendly but the whole building has not aged well. On the positive the bed was comfortable and the linen fresh.

Sat nav sent us to the wrong side, staff checked where we should be and directed us to the short cut. The staff are lovely in both the hotels and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel could do with a bit of updating and refreshing but we understand this is happening so we look forward to our next visit as we have family nearby.

I arrived with a blown out tyre only to find that I was actually booked into the northbound hotel not the south bound one. Staff were amazing swapped my booking over to the southbound one helped me organise a mobile tyre company and were kind and compassionate.

Well, you get what you pay for so wasn’t expecting the ritz but the hotel is actually quite run down. It’s got an awful smell of damp and our room was dirty, I question whether our room was even cleaned before we checked in because it was full of rubbish. The staff are not friendly at all. I went to the front desk in the early hours to get some snacks for my toddler as he was hungry but could not walk across the road to the service station as my daughter was still sleeping. The card machine was not working so I suggested paying on check out but I was told I could not take the items without paying, despite my child crying. I mean, it was £3’s worth when they could surely just charge it to the card I paid for the room with, not one million pounds. Luckily I had enough change in the room. The rooms are battered, falling apart. I just wish I paid extra for a better quality hotel.

Only issue with this hotel is it’s the same postcode for north bound and south bound so need to double check as you can’t just rely on postcode to get you to the correct side as we found out and the customer behind us
Only issue with this hotel is it’s the same postcode for north bound and south bound so need to double check as you can’t just rely on postcode to get you to the correct side as we found out and the customer behind us

Good value for money and easily accessible off the A34 at the Shell fuel stop. Note that there are two Wyndham Sutton Scotney motels either side of the A34. South and the North - and they share the same postcode....Google Maps will invariably take you to the South motel. A rat run across the A34 will get you to the North motel.

Make sure that you get the right side of the road - the postcode is the same for the hotels on both the northbound and southbound carriageways. Was a useful stop off on our way for an early start in Southampton

Both Southbound and Northbound hotels have the same postcode so map is incorrect if you're staying at Northbound. Accurate directions required for Northbound hotel. Reception closed in morning went to WH Smith to get breakfast vouchers. Man insisted on proof of stay, showed him booking on phone but he wanted to see room key. Explained keys had been posted in reception box. He said breakfast voucher has to be obtained at check-in not check out. There was no mention of this when I checked in. When the single was pulled out there was a chip and the area looked unhoovered.

Discovered that in the same post code there were 2 DayInn hotels, one on the North & another on the South. Sod's law, we went to the wrong side and had a -nightmare- getting to the other one. Very noisy at night with the Lorries passing outside. Very cold room and only 1 small electric heater which didn’t warm the room at all. The hairdryer was broken and didn’t switch on. The floor was unclean and the carpet hadn’t been hoovered properly. (There was a used plaster and a glow stick under the table area) No plug sockets next to the bedsides.

Grateful there was a member of staff in the office to check me in close to 2 am. No Days Inn spaces left so parked in main car park, only a little further away and well lit. After a long day I needed peace and quiet and got these from room 5 at the back of the building. All on one floor so no stairs to negotiate in my sleepy state. Glad I added an hour onto my check out time; leaving at midday and only £10 extra. Took the discounted offer of paying £7.50 for £10 worth of breakfast items at either McDs or Costa as the services prices are higher than a local McD and Costa. The friendly lady cleaner and man manager tried to help fix the stuck bath button, so had a refreshing shower instead. I would stay at Days Inn North again as the price is good too.

Not great. No food deliverable from uber eats, just eat or deliveroo so stuck with McDonald’s from the services Room felt and smelt damp and cold so had to put heating on, even bedding felt damp. Like the room hadn’t been opened or used in ages
