We had a wonderful time during our stay at Residencial Marés. We spoke with two different staff members; one on phone before our stay, and another at the reception. Both were very helpful, and nice to talk with. We had a room with balcony view towards the river, which was amazing to spend the mornings and evenings at. When the balcony doors are closed, you won’t be disturbed by any noise from outside. Air conditioning worked well in the heat, and a small fridge to store cold items. The bathroom and beds were always clean and ready made when we came back for the day. We will definetily recommend this hotel, and will most likely book again for future trips to Tavira.

Firstly, it’s an older building and that adds to the charm, so don’t expect an ultra modern room. The young lady on reception was outstanding, she couldn’t be more helpful when I wanted to connect my Firestick to the room tv to watch live football 😉. Breakfast included was excellent and plentiful and although I never thought we would use it, the food at the Bistro attached to the hotel served really good food - with the bonus of a 15% discount as a hotel guest. Location was perfect for everything Tavira had to offer

We booked a room with a terrace. That meant being on the third floor and no elevator. The trade off was that we had a beautiful view of the river watching the passenger ferry come and go. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for eating and activities. The hotel was the perfect place for us to relax at the beach after spending 10 days driving the entire length of the N2 from North to South. We would stay here again.
