Pros: Owner was kind enough to let us in early. Plenty of room for my crew. Secluded and quiet location. Saw a bald eagle. Interior was tidy. AC was up to the challenge of the 95 degrees days.Cons: The image from the webpage showed the property on a lake. Unfortunately, the water in the cove was stagnant and anything but alluring. I don't know if swimming was advertised so make sure you ask. Beadspread in the master had a light yellowish brown stain which I did not notice until the last night. A lot of pots and a small fish pond with green standing water which adds to the mosquitos. Master bath tub needs attention. Could use more flatware. Exterior could have been better kept (microwave on front porch, lots or STUFF on the back porch, broken down chest freezer. There was a propane grill but needed a serious cleaning.

Wonderful stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Pat’s Place! Our family enjoyed many meals out on the spacious deck . We enjoyed watching and hearing the wildlife. A great yard for games like badminton, frisbee, sling shot glow in the dark “spinners”. Plenty of room for our adult children, spouses and grandkids. We liked the private location and spectacular view of the night sky. Our host was easy to communicate with regarding questions , needs and places to visit/eat. We did not get a chance to take the kayaks out on the lake behind the house…maybe next time. Would highly recommend for family “get always”. Sharon and Phil

Stayed 4 nights

The house was lovely, nicely furnished and the perfect size for us. It was quiet and exactly as pictured. It was close to the water but the reason for 4 stars and not 5 was that the water was pretty much inaccessible by kayak or paddle board. I understood there was no dock and I’m comfortable launching watercraft from shore. But the shoreline was so overgrown, there was no way to wade in. Luckily I had family renting a house 5 minutes away and they had a dock that we used. With a dock, I would for sure rent again but not without a better way to access the water.

The house provided multiple areas for being alone or as group; living room, huge den, sunroom, large deck, front porch, and the yard!! Handrails in the tubs would have made the perfect touch to this wonderful house!
