Kauai Shores was a wonderful time! The renovated rooms were spacious and new, super clean, and had so many amenities. The hotel itself had 2 separate pools, free morning yoga, free valet parking, included beach towel service, and so much more. I loved how there were so many restaurants and stores walkable from the stay, and you’re right on the beach. Not to mention the lava lava beach club right on the premise, they have delicious drinks and great ahi tuna nachos. Definitely a great option for an all in one experience, not to mention you’re in the middle of the island so it’s easy to drive on the north and south side. Best quality bang for your buck place on the island!

The pool and the beach were wonderful! So beautiful! Staff was great. Food at the restaurant was very good. The only reason I'm not giving five stars, is that there is no elevator, and we had a hard time dragging our suitcases up and down the steps.

Two pools. Balconies. Clean rooms. Quiet for most part. No swimmable area but can sit on sand and watch waves and sunrise. Close to airport. Middle area of island. Stores and coffee and food nearby. Parking lot sucks, tiny spaces and most cars encroaching into spots or can valet. Nice front desk. Food and bar on property but expensive. Place to wash clothes. About 30-40 minutes from north and South located beaches to snorkle and hiking.

Very quite place, excellent for families with kids, they have free bike rental, yoga and other programs. Groceries, food cards are very close by (easy to drive or bike or walk). Only drawback is the parking gets filled up fast in the afternoon, but they do have free valet service which is good.

I liked that we could borrow bikes , there are 2 pools and the beach access is right on the property. It’s not a huge beach but to get in the ocean for a little while it’s perfect.

Loved the place. Coffee and reading with the waves on view. Daily morning yoga with the view and sounds of the ocean was a wonderful bonus as well as the refillable water bottles and stations around. Pool and hot tub were nice. The restaurant was good too!

We enjoyed our stay at the Kauai Shores Hotel. It is centrally located, on the beach and a great restaurant on the grounds, free valet parking, bikes, yoga classes and daily housekeeping. We also liked the fact that it has a small laundry room. We would definitely stay there again. Mahalo Kauai Shores.

I was referred here from a friend and I glad I listened. This is a great place especially when considering affordability. Very comfortable place. While not the most upscale, it is still very clean and well maintained. Great pool and is also just steps from the beach. Nightly fire pits and live music at Lava Lava on the property. Rooms are perfect size and beds are nice and comfortable. Lots of good shopping and food nearby. Easy parking . The staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back

Staff was great. Rooms were clean but came across around 2 cockroaches daily in our room. Parking is a problem. Tight spots that are taken up a lot of the time. Forced to use vallet parking (free, but tip right). Beds are comfy. Lava Lava restaurant attached. Our server Kay is the best in the business bar far. Close to swimmable ocean. Would stay again for sure. Just wish no cockroaches.

The newly renovated rooms are very comfortable, with quiet split-level AC, premium bathroom products and very comfortable and stylish furnishings. The mattress was very comfortable. The parking is quite difficult, given the extremely narrow stalls.

My husband enjoyed having someone come in and clean up our hotel rooms. Since 2020 and COVID, we have traveled to several nice places and housekeeping didn't enter the room until you are leaving. The housekeepers made sure we had clean big towels, threw the trash out, and straightened up. The rooms were clean and the grounds were very Hawaiians with all the beautiful plants.

Very convenient location in Kapaa and great resort amenities. Walkable to Coconut Marketplace. We have two young kids (non-swimmers) there's a little kiddie pool (Lae Nani Beach) that's nice and safe. Guest services was very responsive for anything that we needed or had questions about. Cleaning was good for the most part but sometimes inconsistent on the details. Parking in the evenings is challenging but they do have complimentary valet (however not super friendly). Overall the property conditions were great, service was solid and combined with its location, I think it's a great choice for families.

The location of this property is great. Easy to get to the north or south parts of the island. The front desk staff is incredibly nice. Parking can be tricky but the complimentary valet is nice. We did have an issue with the room service. Our room was not cleaned once the entire time we were there, and we only had the garbage dumped once. Unfortunately, the time they did dump the garbage and swap towels, the room service staff did not close our door all the way when they were done. Our room had the door cracked open for the entire day while we were out exploring the island. When we returned, we noticed that nothing was missing, but it was still a concerning experience. Utilize the safe in the room for smaller valuables.

This hotel was terrible. The "vip" room perk was a bottle of wine & a room with a horrible view of a dumpster, shed & unusable veranda due to employees vaping & taking their break outside our room. The stinch of trash & dirty laundry was terrible. When i asked to please change rooms i was told no. The next day we ate at the Lava Lava beach club which was the only good thing about this property. We then decided to try to use a couple of bikes (at least that might justify the $30+ resort fee) but the bikes had broken seats & we brought them back a short time later. For over $300 per night we will never be back. Avoid room #123 if you can! Awful.

Beautiful remodel. Old Hawaii with modern elegance. Absolutely staying here again. We got in a day early and booked this hotel for the night. Then headed to the more expensive Hilton Garden Inn. Wish we had stayed at Kauai Shores for the whole stay. Free parking, better beach, far superior rooms.

Cool old motel updated in great location on the beach with the Lava Lava bar and restaurant adjacent. Also a good spot if you are exploring both ends of the island, it’s right in the middle and minutes to airport. Rooms are small but updated very nicely.

Ocean view room is more like a view of the lawn and the main building with a peak of the ocean if you sit on the deck. Arrived early before 4 pm check in and it didn’t feel very accommodating for that so don’t expect an early check in. The front desk person said oh they are almost done with lunch so maybe it will get done sooner but they didn’t seem to communicate with staff about which rooms might have people waiting. I was just tired from traveling and had a recent injury, but I get the check in policy. Room has coffee maker and a fridge. AC is strong.

The beds were super comfortable. We had a kitchenette which made it very convenient for us to have some meals in our room. Would have liked more counterspace but that is a very minor thing! Overall the room was spotless and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was also super clean. The oceanfront was spectacular and we really enjoyed the free bicycles which allowed us to explore many miles of the coast. The staff was very friendly and always made us feel welcome.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Housekeeping came daily to switch out towels, stock coffee, empty garbage, and make beds, if needed. The rooms are equipped with a fridge, keurig coffee maker, a safe and ample storage (closet area, 3 drawer dresser, desk/vanity, open area at end of bed for suitcases, shoes, etc).

Very beautiful, just wish the ground floor rooms had a light curtain on top of the black out curtain so i could let some light in during the day. Sadly, I had to keep the curtains closed as people were always walking by outside.

I had a great experience at this hotel! The facilities were excellent, and the complimentary valet service was a huge bonus. The premises were very clean and well-maintained, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Another major plus was the location there were several stores within walking distance, which made it super convenient. We were also able to easily drive to all of our tours, as the hotel was centrally located to the main attractions we wanted to visit. Overall, it made our trip smooth and enjoyable. We had a great stay here. We just needed a place to stay for the night before we could get into our timeshare, and this was a fantastic choice. The service was excellent. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was even a free photo booth in the lobby that my daughter just loved. Would definitely recommend this as a great great place to stay.

The Good. Location on the island, Lave Beach Club, Beach, Pools. The Bad. If there is a line at the check in desk, You Will WAIT. The front desk does not function well when there is a line. The front desk staff can also be snippy and unconcerned at this. The front desk also handles towels and bikes. So, if you would like fresh beach towels and there are a bunch of people checking in, you Will WAIT to get new ones. Twice the room was not serviced. We then had to call every day to remind them to service our room. Front desk staff couldn’t bring themselves to say Thank You for staying there upon checkout. If the hotel could fix the front desk issues, it would be a very good hotel.

First I tried to check in 2 hour early. Front desk says nothing available. Fine. But told me they would text me when 1 becomes available. 2 hours go by no call. Get to hotel at 3:30 still nothing available even though they checked in 3 other couples in front me. The front desk girl says I found a room it just wasn’t the room they had assigned to me (even though it was the same kind of room I had reserved) I asked the manager there at the time if I could be upgraded. But she said Nope just like that without even asking what happened. So she sucks!!! Her answer was “we do not check in people till 4pm”. (Even though as I stated before 3 other couples just checked in ahead of me).so she lied right in my face. So I told her your customer service sucks. And she was alful after that laughing it off like she had all this power. Very rude stuck up manager

I have to say that this hotel’s website doesn’t do the hotel justice. We booked expecting a nice, lower-priced hotel that would mainly be a place to sleep between adventures. What we got was a wonderful hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The only negative experience we had was no fault of the hotel; someone stole our water bottles when we left them unattended on the beach. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

The staff at the front desk was a 10 plus along with their valet staff parking employees. The hotel room was always cleaned daily and the staff that cleaned the room were so nice and very honest. I left money under the pillows several times as a tip but they never took it they put in on the night stand next to the bed. I definitely would stay here again because of the location and the amazing staff at the hotel. It’s nice to have a staff now days that provides excellent service. Thanks!!!

Perfect location on the beach, walking distance to coconut marketplace, that hosts farmers markets regularly, and has a small grocery store and multiple food options for each meal of the day. The valet service is a nice touch, you can text them while you’re still in your room, and they will have your car waiting . I would go here again, but I would suggest a 20% discount to the restaurant and bar for guests of the hotel, plus a free bottle of wine, which I think Expedia offered me .

Laid back vibe, clean rooms. On site restaurant has good breakfast options. Quality of dinner options I would say are average. Staff responded promptly to questions and or requests. They provide valet parking which is helpful as the parking lot car spaces are small and tricky to park well. We had a very relaxing time at this hotel and preferred it over the bigger resort area we stayed at on a previous visit to Kauai.

Its a very convenient location with easy beach access. The beach itself is not swimmable as the water gets deep quickly and there are rocks at most places. However there are couple of areas where swimmers can be seen. Make sure you get rennovated rooms. We got rennovated room and it was upto mark. But anything below that would be undesirable. Swimming pools are nice. The hotel setup is little weird and parkings are tiny and hard to find, but free wins. Do find out when the cultural show at coconut market is, we had a good time watching the performance. Front desk staff is below average Lava lava was a disappointment. Poke bowl was less than 100gms of mahi mahi with hard to eat chips. Even the poke bowl from nearby coconut market was more appetizing. Salsa was pineapple, never having it again. Fried chicken and Garlic shrimp disappointed as well. The presentation and service is excellent. Location cant be beat. Yoga needs to improve. It is so exciting to be able to do yoga beach side. But the content is too light and demonstrator is not great. This is probably the only yoga studio that starts with "gratuity is appreciated". Dont malign the divine practice. If you want tips, go wait tables.

Very cool, unique hotel. Staff was great and free bottle of wine was a nice perk. Loved the decor. Staff were wonderful. Great restaurant with beautiful ocean view. Thursday night dinner had live music which was fun. Nice pool area and lawn area for kids to play plus corn hole. Highly recommend.

The hotel is an older hotel but has recently undergone a full renovation and the renovation was very well done! Rooms are great with all the amenities you need, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, moisturizer, hair dryer, small fridge, AC, coffee, water. 2 very nice pools and a great hot tub! Very good restaurant and bar that overlooks a beautiful bay! Also had free valet parking. The staff were very warm and friendly!,
