Spacious hotel and beautiful property! The outdoor pool and bar have a beautiful view of the ocean. The hotel is ON the beach, the only issue is that the waves on that side of the island have strong currents, so swimming isn't encouraged there.

Super chill spot. Great place for adults wanting to getaway yet also very family friendly - two connected pools, hot tub and beach water front. They have Pool tables, foosball and arcade games. Bartenders are very friendly - one in particular customizes drinks from local fruit!!! Super delicious. Would stay here again. They also free parking which was a huge plus since most places charge daily - it isn’t covered and they have a lot of birds, your car may be covered in bird droppings - other than that we were able to find a spot at all hours of the day.

Great location on the ocean. Very well maintained landscaping. The pool faces the ocean, clean, well maintained. Family friendly, although this location is adult oriented with just enough for the kids. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Everyone was so hospitable and helpful with any questions. The room was very tidy and we would come back to a made bed nearly ever day after going out adventuring. The pool was wonderful and we loved the game room they had. I would really recommend paying for the Luau learning about the culture was so needed and the food was top notch in my opinion. Breakfast in the morning was SO good. Also I recommend eating at Moa Moa for dinner at least once. We went twice because of how good the food was. Just overall very happy with our experience. Hope to stay again.

Beautiful property with a jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. Large rooms with comfortable bedding. Live music aeound dinner time. They let you borrow a beacj chair, umbrella, and cooler to take with you to other beaches. The only downside is the beach is unswimmable due to the reef and rocks.

Love the openness of the property. Offers a lot of convenient things to check out for free such as beach towels, bikes to stroll around town, umbrellas and even beach lounge chairs. The coffee bar was delicious and entertainment live music and pool were awesome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort. Staff was friendly, informative, knowledgeable, kind and fun! The facility was beautifully remodeled and appointed. The pool and landscaping were very well maintained and lush. The restaurant was delicious. We used the bikes and played corn hole and connect 4. It was restful and re-energizing!

I booked this property at the very last minute as our previously booked hotel did not work out. We were so happy to see the property when we arrived. The reception lobby is beautiful, each clerk was kind and helpful, we love the valet staff, and the rooms are easily accessible. A favorite is the beautiful infinity pool, which we were in every day of our visit. Walk a few steps and you are on the beautiful sandy beach. They have a nice game room for kids and young adult adults with pool tables and vintage video games, etc. Nice outdoor bar with quick food and live music in the evenings. We plan to go back there at least once or twice a year, just to enjoy this beautiful property.

Dirty sheets, didn’t change the dirty sheets after we asked them to. Rude staff when you ask for a basic service. Dirty bath tub with stain on it and l took video and pictures of it. Beach towels not available most of the time. Poolside restaurant served our food after 55 minutes we ordered. Old carpets in the room and even in the dining breakfast area. Starbucks sitting benches had all very shabby and worn leather which was discussing to sit on.

BUSY SEASON REVIEW(DECEMBER) The hotel itself needs some exterior improvements. Walls had cracks and hallways still had carpet. Due to half the hallway being exposed, carpet was moldy. The rooms were nice and clean. Updated and bed was comfy. Pillows were a little too soft for personal comfort but overall pleased with the room. Staff (desk staff) needs some training in customer service, they all had an attitude and wouldn’t even make eye contact with you as you spoke to them or asked a question. Parking was terrible if you leave for the day and come back at night. It was such a mission to find parking, however hotel allowed you to park along the bushes without an issue. Just needed to have parking pass displayed on your dash. Overall LOVED visiting Kauai! Beautiful place, hotels just need a little work.

I was let down with this hotel. As soon as we arrived, we found a toenail in the bathroom, gunk around the toilet, hair in the drawers, stains on the sheets, dust on numerous places throughout the room, and dirty floors. *** Just to make sure I wasn’t over exaggerating, I took a Clorox wipe to the dirty areas to make sure they were in fact dirty and able to be wiped away clean. And yes, all of the dirt and grime came off easily with a Clorox wipe. Not only were we informed of a $500 hold/deposit (nowhere was the stated online upon booking. It wasn’t an issue, just would’ve been nice to know about), we were also made aware that sheets would only be replaced every three days. For a resort, that is not acceptable, especially being by the beach. Housekeeping did not do much at all and the laundry room was filthy. I’m sure it does not get cleaned because the floors were filthy and there was lint everywhere. The washer also had a mildew smell. The staff was really nice, which was a big plus. However, cleanliness is top-tier for me personally, and this hotel did not meet those standards at all.

We had to request repair services for out room literally 6 different times. Water leaks in the hallway carpet causing a moldy/mildew smell daily. Window shutters didn't close. Sheets didn't get changed. Coffee didn't get restocked. Staff brought kids to swim daily. Kids were wild and unmonitored.

Nice beach front and pool area to relax. Unfortunately a nightmare stay when it comes to rooms and service. Checked in and my room had a funky/musty smell. I asked for a different one and they provided one - room 358. First night was seemingly fine… I wake up and go to the bathroom and find a roach on the mirror. Now, it’s Hawaii, I understand this is a thing in the tropics. I brush that off. Then I notice some smaller ones later on in the day. I go to the Longs Drug store across the way to buy Raid and some other pest control stuff (thinking again, its Hawaii there’s bound to be some pests that get by). Come end of the day (second night), I realize my room is INFESTED. I see multiple roaches crawling in various sizes. I am freaking out and I probably had to kill about 8/9 total this day and night. I call front desk several times to no avail. Went to check if there was anyone I can talk to at the desk in the middle of the night - no one. I managed to get through the night (still not sure why I thought this was acceptable and I should manage till the morning). However, I did not sleep at all. I kept the lights on thinking I would wake up to these things crawling on me. In the end I switch rooms and they just give me a $50 credit…appreciate the room switch but $50 is a ridiculous amount for a sleepless night of just killing cockroaches. I don’t blame the woman who got me a new room, but the management. Everyone else was so dismissive as if I was making it up.

At first glance, this place is truly beautiful. With a closer look, we were met with broken ice machones that soaked 25 foot sections of carpet, making the hallways wreak of mold and mildew. My in laws who were staying at the same time had to get their door fixed twice because it was falling apart. There were cockroaches at the bar and at the hot tub areas. The room blinds were broken and wouldnt stay closed. For how much money you're spending, I wouldn't recommend this place.

No exhaust in the bathroom made everything foggy. No hooks in the bathroom made changing difficult with the family. AC did not go below 68 degrees and the room was hot. The room service did not always clean the room even after asking.

It’s a nice property, but the room was nothing special. Although the bed was comfortable, the AC In the room is super loud. The bathroom is extremely small with inadequate lighting and the balcony is also extremely small. Housekeeping was excellent as was the engineer who came quickly to replace the battery in our door. The beach is covered with pieces of wood and the water is good only for strong swimmers, but the view is still beautiful.

Big squawk: Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach connection to the Internet is atrocious and largely unusable. WiFi signal is strong in the lobby and in the room (250), but retrieving content and uploading content is worse than frustratingly slow. My wife and I ended up going down to the lobby where we had a good cellular signal and used cell data to interface with the Internet. Hardly ideal for a relaxing visit. However, we have no complaints about the rest of our stay except one minor inconvenience when the in-room safe's battery died necessitating a visit from Engineering.

We have stayed there twice now, and when we come back, we will stay there again. Great, centrally located spot, easy to get to tons of stuff. Huge parking lot. Great pool and awesome beach spot. Staff are all amazingly helpful and super friendly. If you go to Kauai, this is the place to stay!!

We reserved a king bed sea side and upon checking in we’re told none were available, and none would be available for the entirety of our stay which turned out to be a lie. It was a long travel day so we didn’t argue. The wrong room they gave us had a broken coffee machine, a broken toilet paper holder, and the shampoo dispenser didn’t work. Next day filed a complaint and 1 hour later were moved into a king room seaside. After that terrible first day everything else went perfectly.

You won’t find Aloha spirit here, barely even a smile. Bartender will upsell you $3 on a mai tai without telling you the “local” rum is more. Staff engage is their own convos for you to overhear or wait for them to be done so you can order coffee or ask a question. The welcome lei? The obligation spirit is the only thing that comes with it. Hidden fees. I called and aaked if they had free parking. They said yes. It’s Free” by being included in the resort fee & that fee isn’t on Expedia. What a waste of money.

The property is lovely. Great check-in experience. Kai was helpful, professional and super nice. I was able to upgrade to an ocean front room with a beautiful view and the sound of the waves. The other front desk person I'd like to mention is Mikah. He was able to get me a late check-out and since my flight was later in the evening, offered me a hospitality room. Nice to enjoy the beach and pool, return to shower and leave for the airport. Really good experience.

Loved our stay at the Sheraton. Our checkin was amazing. Comfy bed. Nice amenities. Not only were we able to checkin super early they have a program to let you stay after checkout and give you a hospitality suite to clean up before heading to the airport. We will definitely come back to this property.

I would make the front desk people much nicer and accommodating. They really didnt greet us in a great way and very SLOW service. Maybe they all are on island time. If your working in hospitality you need to be on your A game.

Our stay at the hotel was great! The highlight was Lissa who assisted us with check in as well as check out! She was incredible, always checking in on us and offering guidance! The rest of the staff was also great and accommodating!

We loved the resort for its central location to all the activities we had planned on the island. After spending time on excursions the pool was a great place to relax and recharge before our next big adventure. The staff were the heart and soul of the hotel and were an absolute pleasure.

This is a beautiful place right on the water and the pool area is lovely and lit with tiki torches in the evening. It is located midway between the north and south shores so it is easy to explore both areas of the island. The beach in front of the island is beautiful, but has a reef that would make it dangerous for swimming.

Had a great experience at this resort. Well located to explore both sides of the island, Coconut marketplace was a 6-8 minute walk or a 1 minute drive. Property was well maintained and the kids loved the pool and hot tub (pool was a little chilly for me). The only downside was the beach isn’t swimmable at all, was nice to watch the sunrise or drink a morning coffee on but the rock shelf that was just a few feet in from the water edge made it impossible to swim in or around. The island has so many different beaches as options it wasn’t an issue for us at all. Staff was friendly and helpful also. They even have a couple pool tables and a shuffle board table that were a nice option when we were looking to escape the sun for a few minutes. Overall this was a excellent experience and definitely worth the price.

This is a very nice property in a great area (Kapaa). The location is fairly central and easy to access. It’s also next to the Coconut Marketplace which was very helpful. (The ABC Store has some good supplies, souvenirs and groceries.) There’s a Safeway nearby as well. The grounds and landscape was gorgeous, the room was clean and the room was fairly quiet at night.

The property itself was beautiful and in a wonderful location. The strict closing of the bar/pool/game area was off putting and seemed contradictory to the otherwise laid back vibe. Also Moamoa had a great breakfast, however the dinner there was our worst dining experience in our 10 days in Hawaii. Extremely slow staff, obnoxiously expensive, food was mediocre and some dishes came out cold.

Room 221 the door will not shut all the way by itself. The crooked surf smells like pee and stale beer. My wife ordered the fish and chips for dinner, I had the hamburger. The wait was 45 minutes for the food. My wife had 1 bite of the fish…. It was cold and soggy. I asked for a well done burger and it was solid pink in the middle. I pointed out the issues with the meal to our server. He promptly brought us the check. We did NOT go back to any of the restaurants on the property.

Loved the resort - just the right combination of size with plenty of options for food and recreation while also not too crowded. Love the pool area and the chairs facing the beach. Checked out bicycles and rode the bike path up the coastline. Easy access to beach towels, chairs, etc. Enjoyed the coffee shop. Splurged on restaurant breakfast one morning and it was delicious. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

Although you could tell the property was a little aged, we generally enjoyed our stay. This was mainly because of the employees. They made our stay very comfortable. The food prices were a little high but most were worth the price. My thanks to the chef for adapting meals to my gluten-free requirements.

Property was in a great location, easy to walk to many restaurants. The beach was AWESOME! The resort staff were really nice and friendly, but the majority of the food and service staff were less than helpful, generally a sour demeanor. You expect the resort to be overpriced, but the main dining was significantly overpriced and not worth the money.

Very nice resort hotel in a good location. Seemed like plenty of services available via the concierge, I had all mine planned beforehand so didn't use. Food and drinks at pool bar were very good. Didn't use the full restaurant for dinner as was traveling alone. Decent shopping center within walking distance.
