Sheraton Kauai Resort

The oceanfront view was great. Parking was limited. Dining on site was very expensive.

This place is perfect. Right on the beach, lots of amenities, beautiful sunsets on the lawn…stargazing at night and many more memorable perks. The bed was comfy, pillows were perfect, water pressure strong, and a beautiful pool area. I highly recommend this tropical paradise. ((The burritos from Da Crack were great, as was the Thai Food from the food trucks nearby))

This lovely hotel is nicely situated right on beach, with large waterfront pool and hot tub, as well as a lovely ocean/pooside resraurant open from breakfast til 9pm. The free self parking is right beside hotel and never had trouble finding a spot. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Of note, the luau held on property is held in open view of hotel and beach guests when not raining so guests get free show if interested. There is a watersport rental near beach that offers surfing lessons and the waves break close to the nice sandy beach. Beds very comfy and resort clean. Would highly recommend.

The pool, pool bar, beach and beach restaurant were fantastic

Excellent location, perfect views, great swimming pools and poolside service. The mahi mahi tacos at Lavas were fabulous. Housekeeping staff are excellent and attentive. This property is aging well, not as fancy as the Grand Hyatt, so it’s more affordable and less pretentious.

My ocean view was perfect. I didn’t mind the Luau just outside my room on Monday and Wednesday nights, although it made parking less convenient. The beach there is quite nice

We are at the restaurant rim fire and struggled with the sun in our eyes. Won’t be back there. The gym needs some updating.

It’s a great location. Really close to a couple of shopping centers and restaurants. Great views for the beach front rooms. Had snorkeling gear, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. to rent. They have activities to do everyday if you want. The snorkeling areas are great. The restaurant on the beach will bring your food/drinks to you. The worst part of the stay was the air conditioning didn’t get as cold as I like, but I like to sleep really cold. It was probably ~70-72 F. Overall, it was a really great experience. I would definitely recommend this stay.

I can not say enough positives about this resort! We did opt for ocean front and were very impressed! We couldn't have asked for a better room! The resort was quiet, had lots of things to keep you busy (yard games, pool, fire pits, etc.). The room was clean, had plenty of room, and the set up was great. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and very helpful. We will come again and stay at this Sheraton!

This is extremely expensive hotel the amenities are very dated and few. The room was dirty I had to ask for it to be cleaned and explain why I think it is dirty, they did clean it well after my conversation with them . For the money I spend on what supposed to be a resort on the beach I get what looks like a cheap motel. This made our trip to Kauai a very difficult one. I will never use Sheraton for the rest of my life the money I spend averaged 1000 a night for really bad place . Pictures in Expedia are very deceiving and I think they do so deliberately to rip people off

Our experience staying at the Sheraton Kauai Resort was overall excellent! The resort is a beautiful, with beautiful grounds & gardens to explore and amazing views of the south coast of Kauai. It's located about 25 minutes from the airport and we found that any points of interest on the island was very accessible, no more than 1 hour drive from the hotel. Our room was an oceanfront room with a beautiful view (yet felt very private & quite) and we found it spotless, BIG and roomy. The little market and pool side restaurant was good and service was on friendly & on point. Their concierge helped us quickly book excursions that were well worth it, as they have connections to good & apparently reputable excursion companies (we did kayaking on Wailea River with hike & a Napali Coast sunset cruise!) We recommend this hotel to anyone staying on Kauai!!!

Amazing location and gorgeous beachfront property. This place was immaculate and the staff were all friendly. They take great care making this place clean and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again!

Located close to numerous restaurants and shops. Very close to the beach. This is our fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and will probably stay again.

Our balcony never had the trash cleared during our 6 night stay. Also the room was made up every day and cleaned fresh towels but empty cans etc were not thrown away or removed. The Lava restaurant was a total disappointment. The food and service took forever. From the taste of the food I figured microwaving food would be quick. Asked for a $45 steak to be cooked medium rare and was told they couldn't do that..all cooked same. Mine was burnt table next to us had same dish and his steak was a nice red center. Other meal for breakfast was just as disappointing. The prices were even more inflated for amount service and quality of food. A double patty burger was $35. Don't waste time there. Go off of resort or maybe splurge at rumfire..but it's only open dinner few nights a week.

The best place to stay in Kauai!! The resort is easy to find and is a good base from which you can explore the west or east or north coasts. Food was wonderful. Immaculately clean. Big comfortable room where you can see whales and the sun set. Terrific!!

The property is clean, beautiful and located right next to the ocean. There are some great restaurants and shopping nearby. We enjoyed the coffee shop on the property. The lady at the reception desk that checked us in was not very friendly, but she seemed like she had a cold and maybe she wasn’t feeling well. Everybody else that worked on the property was wonderful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property!

I would recommending staying at this resort! It was super clean, staff is nice and helpful. We had no issues with our room and it was really big and kept super tidy everyday!

We had to change the room because of noise coming from the swimming pool pump. out key did not open the door 3 times during one week stay. about one day apart every time. The batter was dead, as I understand it. But why didn't they fix it correctly the first time.

The WIFI is awful, and i needed it to work- was down for two days. Also, when I checked in they gave me two queens instead of a king and I had to argue with the front desk to get a new room

Anniversary trip with hubby, so splurged on an ocean view room, which was very nice, huge sliders to balcony, great view, etc. Bedding was also very good, and they swapped out feather pillows (after having to be being reminded....). Facilities overall were clean and nicely kept up. BUT.... I wish I'd realized our room was overlooking the pool area, which was too brightly lit (esp. the blue pool lights) which are on ALL night - not a nice vacation experience really. Room also overlooked the noisy poolside restaurant (live music every evening), and the pool area staff room - people coming and going not really quietly at 6-7am kinda ruined the 'sleep with the doors open hearing the ocean' vibe. Other disappointments: serious paucity of healthy and/or vegetarian options at onsite restaurants, steep added costs for the cabana or covered lounge chair rentals. Even borrowing beach umbrellas was extra, despite paying the 'extra' but required daily resort fee. This was annoying, and Expedia really did make the listing sound like it was a final price, that parking was an elective extra fee, etc. Just to note, I also booked another resort, and they emailed me in advance to clarify their extra resort fees, and these types of amenities were included (as I'd expect). Just saying, gotta read the fine print. The ocean and pools worked out well for us, the snorkeling nearby was great, and we would return to this resort .... but we'd request a room on the other wing :-)

Fantastic hotel with a great beach and pool area. Lava’s restaurant was excellent with great service. Building 2 had some water and power issues along with no internet for two days, but the hotel staff was very helpful and kept us well informed. I would definitely return to this hotel

The gardens are beautiful, the food at the Lava Restaurant was good but the rooms are dated.

Stayed in an ocean view room. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. Called the main desk to request extra coffee packets for the coffee maker in the room and they were delivered within minutes. We talked to various staff members while there and they were all very courteous. Nice pool and beach. Food served at the Lava Restaurant was high quality.

This is a great spot if you want to be right on the beach. The rooms are a bit dated, and the walls are quite thin. It's within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, and plazas. Note that you'll need to rent beach chairs daily to use on the beach. The hotel offers convenient access to the ocean, and the views from the rooms can be quite beautiful. Just be prepared for some noise if you're staying in a room close to the common areas. Overall, I would stay here again—it's the best location on the island, in my opinion.

The chef was walking around asking people how their food was, which is a high-end restaurant thing to do. I have a few complaints. Like a lot of these resorts that nickel and dime you. A $40 resort fee? Why not just put that into the price of the room? The concierge tried to get me to go to presentation on time sharing, which, you know, is kind of crass. Everything at the pool costs money except the towel. The pool itself is nice, but the area is kind of small, and the beach is also kind of small. That's just the geography of the place, so it is what it is. And the internet was crappy. It didn't work reliably. Still the overall area is nice, and I spent most of the time away from the hotel doing the things that Kauai has to offer.

The service was very poor. The phones in the room were not working , So had to walk to the building where the front desk was located. Asked for extra bottles of water and the staff said I need to talk to front desk. Felt the resort did not care for their guests. Asked for a late check out extend by an hour - Not accommodated. Did not feel welcomed.

Nice place - great staff - great beach - no so thrilled about the push for the 90 minute sales presentation (didn’t do it) - everybody has a “club” or gimmick these days - gets old….

The Sheraton Kauai is in an excellent location with great shopping and dining options a short walk or drive away. Grounds are impeccable and hotel is well maintain, clean and very comfortable. The only slight concern is the cost of everything (not just the hotel, but all things in Kauai). For Canadians, it is a very expensive island to visit given both recent inflation and the Canadian dollar exchange.

Loved our 3 night stay, large suite for my fsmily of 4 with stunning ocean views. Great restaurants, close to everything.

The location right on the beach is phenominal. We had an ocean-facing room, and the views were incredible. The staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and modern. Very close to many good restaurants in the Poipu/Koloa area.

Beautiful location with the manicured grounds. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The beach by the hotel was clean with easy access. We will stay here again.

While the hotel was clean, quite and comfortable there are drawbacks. The RumFire restaurant is closed the first half of the week thus limiting the places to eat on site. Very limited transportation off site. Very very minimal shopping as in only a small convenience store/snack store available.

This is a beautiful beachfront resort! I splurged on the oceanfront room and the view was gorgeous. The room was clean, ac worked great, and the bed was comfortable. Check in did take longer than expected but the lady was friendly. In room dining was not available due to staff shortage but this only affected the first night I flew in as I was exhausted lol There is some free parking but with the resort being so large you could be far from your room or have to park on the street. I opted for valet because of that.

The property was well located. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, but not as client oriented as other resorts at this price range. Biggest problem: WORST.FOOD.EVER! Other than the coffee shop, which was fine, the other main restaurants served low quality food, were terribly noisy, and not at all responsive to our requests. We literally had to go off property for every meal.

Perfect location, wonderful waitstaff at Lavas and beach activity desk. However there is no room service and we struggled to find our room alone in the dark

Wonderful property. We stayed on the beach side in an oceanfront room. It was perfect. Both restaurants on site were good - especially Rum Fire. Will definitely return to this property.
