Comfortable room and pretty good breakfast but if you’re a light sleeper you will be kept awake by the half-hourly trains hooting their horns for about a minute all through the night. Beats me why they can’t use flashing red lights as a warning during night time hours. Didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and inviting.

Check in attendant not very friendly/welcoming. When we got to our room, the card keys did not work. Pool was dirty. Could not sit outside looking at dirty water. Roach in our bathroom. Checkout attendant was friendly

Was riding my motorcycle from Monroe to Baton Rouge for a bike ride the next day. Grounds were well lit and safe. Hotel allowed me to park my bike under cover which was nice. Chantorya who checked me in was new but extremely nice and helpful. My room was updated, clean and very comfy. Bed and pillows were perfect. Bathroom was very clean. Shower water pressure was a touch weak but still nice. Only complaint was my room was hot when I arrived so I turned the ac on and went out for dinner. When I returned it was cool and kept me cool all night. They even give out ear plugs at the desk and I wondered why but I learned why at 11:07pm when a train come through. It didn't last but a min so it wasn't bad. Otherwise it was quiet all night. Breakfast was your typical continental items but was all good. I would stay here again over staying in Baton Rouge because of price and convenience plus you are only 20 mins away from the downtown BR area. Definitely would stay here again.

Went on a 1 day trip to enjoy the pool with our kids and check out the free breakfast that was advertised. It was all we hoped it to be. Room was clean, pool and pool are was nice and clean. Breakfast was very exciting for my 4 year old and myself! Very nice variety of hot foods, fruits, cold foods, pastries, milks, juices. Loved it!

This is an amazing and perfect place to stay it is clean and very nice the morning breakfast is pretty good and great lots of choices and they have a pancake making machine in which you press a button and it makes it for you. Plenty of parking and very well lighted so did not feel u safe and again clean as well as the place smells very fresh the only downside (which is not there fault ) is the trains that go by and blast the horns the hotel do provide ear plugs but to be honest unless you are the lightest sleeper you will be ok. I will be back and if you are looking for a great spot to stay this is definitely the place to book with

We didn't check in until after midnight because the LSU game ran late. The lady who checked us in was not rude but she CERTAINLY wasn't friendly or welcoming. She didn't seem happy to be working and could have cared less about me as a hotel guest. The room was fine but the mattress sank in the middle. The white towels and shower curtain were very dingy. The laundry department definitely needs to invest in some oxiclean or bleach or maybe both. There were hairs from previous guests in the bathroom and on the shower walls. i know it's impossible to get every single hair out of a bathroom but if this shower wall would have been scrubbed and rinsed, these hairs would not have been there so it was obvious that was not done.

I like that the area was quiet. The room was clean and the temperature adjustment was not a problem. The staff was helpful and polite as well. The one big issue that made me give an average rating was that when I came for breakfast, there were fruit flies all over the pastries in the pastry cabinet! It was disgusting and nauseating! I was wary of anything else in the breakfast room after seeing that. Apparently, they appear to leave food over from the day before. The lady who was working the breakfast room was very sweet though.

Staff and breakfast corner are above what you would expect. AC works but makes a lot of noise and even worse the freight trains that run 24/7 - they have a terrible horn signal that is gonna wake you up even on the flip side of the building.

Everything was great! From the friendly staff to the quick and easy breakfast.. the only downside to this place is the MF train... it runs 8-10 times a day.. 24/7.. and blows the horn all the way thru town.. 2am and 5am are some of the times. Never missed a beat

We have stayed at this location (Plaqeumine, La) at least twice a year for last 10 years. City of Plaquemine as best Veterans Day observance of all I have attended. BW employees (Nick, manager, Tillie, front desk & Hilda, food service, treat us 'better' than family.

First time staying in Plaquemine and was disappointed on many things. My family and I where sleeping and someone opened the door at 7am while we where sleeping. Then there is a loud train that comes back and forth in the am , very loud. Very bad experience

There are railroad tracks across the street and the trains come through 24x7 every 3-4 hours and blows it horns as loud as possible. It's incredibly loud! It's why they have a bowl of earplugs on the front desk. Believe me they won't help. If you can sleep through a nuclear blast you will be fine.

The hotel was fine, but it is located across the street from the railroad tracks. Both nights we stayed we were woken up at 3am by a train that sounded like it was rolling down the hall way. There were several trains each day. It wasn't mentioned on the web site when we booked the room and no one mentioned it at check in. Tat would be good information to have!
