Element by Marriott Lexington

Amenities here were terrific, from the gym to the heated salt water swimming pool, the hotel breakfast, and on site laundry. The staff were exceptional. They held our bags while we went out to see the battlefield and lunch. They also helped me find my glasses, which were left in the room after checkout. This location is highly recommended.

Staff were incredibly kind, check outs at 12 which is awesome and pool was great! Beautiful hotel will definitely be back

A completely bizarre experience. I was in town for a family event. I booked a suite in case others travelling wanted to get together we would have a bigger space. From the beginning..they gave my room to someone with the same last name. They kept her name on my room the entire stay. The "suite" was barely bigger than other rooms. There was a table with no chairs to sit around, the bathroom door didn't close and there was no fan, the TV speaker was blown so it sounded like static. On day of checkout (12pm) I was called at 9am and asked if "I was leaving or checking out today?" My reservation was to leave that day. 45 minutes later the housekeeping crew showed up saying checkout was at 10am. That same time the person who's name remained on my room was told their reservation said they were checking out when they had pre paid for another night. Oh, did I mention the pool was closed but we could use the one next door where they were offering children's swimming lessons?!?! I forgot the best part...non ice machine!??? Not even ice trays in the freezer in the room. Front desk didn't have any trays but had 1 zip lock bag full and offered it to us but asked if we could just take some of it as they didn't have more! It would have only taken a few adjustments to make this a much better review, it's a shame.

We have stayed at the Element in Lexington several times over many years and we love this hotel. It is conveniently located right off the I-95 with free parking. The rooms are spacious with a kitchen (including full size fridge and dishwasher). We appreciated having self-serve laundry onsite and the pool is always a hit. Breakfast is good and for anyone who's wondering - they have gluten free options (Udi's bagels and muffins)! The staff are attentive and friendly, always looking to please. Highly recommend.

It’s as if they have no budget at all for maintenance. The AC in the pool and fitness room didn’t work, it was so hot it was probably hazardous. Shower drain was clogged they didn’t fix it during our 8 day stay. The one car charger didn’t work, the oven didn’t work so the included breakfast was very sub par. A number of desk people barely looked up from their computer game to talk to us, The hallways and elevators were always hot. The pools were closed all together the one day our son could have used them. The positives were great design of the downstairs shared space and wonderful breakfast staff who were super friendly.

No EV chargers on site, as advertised. I should have called, rather than trusting Expedia? the hotel? as there were NO chargers. Front desk staff informed us the chargers were removed more than a year ago. Someone obviously didn't update the web site. In addition, the breakfast service was beyond pathetic, and, no one was monitoring... both mornings, coffee and hot food ran out, and we had to ask and waiit for more food, during the MIDDLE of the advertised breakfast time. To be fair, the bed was comfortable and the night desk staff were friendly, but it was HARD to get over the lack of advertised EV charger and honestly, a Marriott property can and should do a better breakfast. Huge disappointment. Won't be back.

I specifically picked this hotel because it listed EV charging. (Not sure if that is Expedia or Element problem) I was disappointed to find no chargers present. These are simple to add (or should be for level 2). Anyway, I was able to find a way to charge elsewhere for a higher price. Otherwise it is a great place with great people.

Preferred parking for electric vehicles.

Our room was nicely laid out -- with full size fridge, dishwasher, stove, and microwave -- none of which we needed, but thought they were a nice addition. The workout room is excellent and the pool very nice. We really liked the lady who was in charge of the breakfasts each morning, though she said she normally works at Aloft and was filling in for the person on holiday. She was super friendly, helpful, and full of energy. The front desk people were nice, though not out of their way friendly. On the whole we loved our 6 night stay there and would do it again. Thank you very much!

I've stayed here a few times and am generally happy with the value and offerings. The late check in was appreciated and the staff is great. This time the pool wasn't available, part of the shower didn't work - nozzle, and one elevator was out of service. The facilities could use some service and upkeep. But the location is a good one, the pet friendliness is appreciated, and overall it was fine.

We had a great stay. There were three of us and we stayed for 5 nights. The location was ideal as we were visiting family at Harvard. We had about a 20-25 minute drive depending on traffic. Our room and the pool were clean. The breakfast offerings each morning were good. The staff was friendly. The only improvement could have been the cleanliness of the common areas like the hall ways, lobby, and elevator.

Overall had a good stay at the Element in Lexington. Room was clean and well equipped. We had a sense that the place is efficiently staffed if not well-loved. Nice daily breakfast with a lot of options including non-dairy milks. For the price point of this property the experience is very good.

This was the worst hotel ever Walked in to register Smelled like Dog !!!not kept up. Fan in bathroom wouldn’t shut off. Maintenance never came to fix it. No light in shower. Mold on tiles broken toilet tissue holder. Torn shades in living area Sticky floors in lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast awful. Spoons in jars of peanut butter and jelly. Very unsanitary. Very disappointed. Never experienced this before. Back to Homewood suites for us. I called Marriott. No response yet

Rooms were fine. Service people were fine. Common areas were not clean with trash and dirt scattered around. Noisy.

The room left much to be desired. I found hair in both the shower and on the bed, and the room was in clear need of repairs. The bathroom counter was cracked, and the outlet was hanging loosely from the wall. A lot of the finish work appeared rushed and poorly done. On the positive side, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated having streaming options on the TV. However, the walls were quite thin—I could hear children and a baby next door, which made it very noisy. Additionally, the pool was under maintenance during my stay. The lobby was pleasant, breakfast was decent, and the location was convenient, especially being close to Minute Man Park and the highway. Overall, I’m unsure if I would stay here again. I expect a higher standard from Marriott and Westin.

The commune area smells bad… smell dog. We don’t take the breakfast even it was included.

The Element is starting to show its age, I'm afraid. Norhing in paricilar, just a general sense of tiredness. Our bathroom was pretty grubby when we arrived, but front desk did a great job of getting a housekeeping team to get it cleaned up. We couldn't use our sofa because it smelled like a dog's bed. Breakfast was limited, but ok, and there was enthusiastic friendly service keeping items tidy, stocked etc.

Sheets were bumpy and stained didn’t seem freshly cleaned. Pillows were awful

The room was large and set up nicely but the large window in the room was cracked in half and taped with package taping. The bathroom door does not close all the way. The worst is that the room they put me in is near a door in the hall that started slamming over and over again at 7:20am, very loud. If you stay here ask for a room no where near the stairs or elevators

The ac unit was so loud. The fan could not be lowered. Stayed on high and loud. It was impossible to sleep w it on and the weather was hot. We left after the first night and did not stay the second night. Paid over $500. Not happy!

Staff was responsive and friendly. Room was clean. Location was convenient. Internet and TV were horrible barely working, and make me unable to recommend even though the rest was great. The company should really invest in the basic amount of bandwidth for customers.

The room was clean and comfortable and had a full kitchen. Shower has a true rainfall shower head with a hand held wand. There are plenty of good sized towels. However, the room is woefully run down. The furniture is nicked and scratched and both faucets in the bathroom sink leaked. The hotel is trying for a more upscale vibe, but the shabbiness of the room dooms the effort.

Room was perfect for a business trip although ours was just an overnight stay. The room had a full kitchen, spacious workspace and a sitting room separate from the bedroom. Rainfall shower was nice, king bed was comfortable. Very satisfied.

It's getting a little old. Probably about time to do some renovations. The tables at the dinning area need to be replaced, the furniture in the rooms needs to be replaced, or at least re-painted. The shower head was not very good. the tiles in the bathroom a little broken...

Room was clean and very functional in terms of layout, furnishing, and proportion. The included breakfast was very reasonable and the breakfast area was clean. Water pressure was insufficient, with a wimpy shower and only a trickle through the sinks. Service resisted cleaning the room and providing linens.

Isaac and his team were incredibly friendly and professional. When we got stung by a wasp while lying on the grass, Isaac quickly took care of us with calm, caring support. Their emergency help made a big difference. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, with a very clean kitchen. Our room was spotless, and the whole stay was pleasant. Big thanks to Sophia and Isaac—we’ll definitely be back!

Great staff everytime we visit.

The absolute worst experience. Arrived with my entire family and a prepaid in full reservation to be told that they had no rooms available. They offered absolutely no assistance to rectify the situation.

When we arrived to check in at 10 p.m. there was nobody at the front desk,nobody in the lobby. No security. I walked behind the desk, opened doors looking for people and calling out "Hello? Hello?" This lasted about 10 minutes. Finally someone who was not in any kind of special attire arrived to give us our key. The presence of staff has been sharply reduced since Marriot took over. If they are not going to have anyone at the desk, they should bring back self check-in.

Made and paid for a registration…checked in the day before…when arrived they did not have a room

The rooms weren’t done in time. It took well over an hour somewhere past 4 o’clock, where I could check in in the lobby was filthy.

I must commend the wonderful staff. It has been a long time since I’ve been to a hotel that had every single staff member attentive, happy and to always eager to greet the guests!!!

We booked this hotel because we had a wedding and had an 8 1/2 hour drive. When checking in it was very pleasant. We loved the room. However, whoever was at the front desk our first night when asking him questions he didn’t seem interested at all and looked like was on his phone. We were told breakfast was from 6 AM till 10 AM on Saturday morning. We came down at 9:30 and there was NO food. Only breads. And when clarifying with the staff about what time breakfast they admitted that they started clearing breakfast at 9AM!! When questioned about this they were saying anything other then an apology. ( I did bring this up to other staff and it was corrected in the way of points being added to my account) but just know if you book here you won’t know if you will make it in time for breakfast.

The front staff was very pleasant! The young lady upgraded our room because our executive suite was not ready for check in at 3 PM. We were only staying for one night. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen. The bed was super comfortable but the suite furniture and walls were worn down. The bathroom was not completely clean, some hair in the shower and noticeable dust in the bathroom vent. We did not complain or requested a room change. Over all if they had more staff on site, things would improve for the best! Thank you

Clean, and modern at a reasonable price, right next to Route 95. I'll be staying here again

Everything was fine apart from the relative isolation of the hotel. As I didn’t have a car, I was dependent on the bus system and with only one bus an hour on Saturdays and NONE on Sundays, this very much limited my movements. Taxis were impossible to get without an hour’s notice, fine if you know that ahead of time. Uber is your only real chance of getting around if you haven’t arrived by car. That being said, the nearest bus stop is quite close by, if only the buses were more frequent. Consequently, I saw very little of Lexington itself, which is a pity.

Great location near a trail. Quiet and safe area. Bed was super comfy.

Very close to the National park visitor center and trails. Not too far away from Boston. My room connects to another room. Voices from guests next door was loud. In general a good stay.

The room was very comfortable great amenities. The hotel was close to where I needed to work. One does need to travel a bit for restaurants and entertainment.

Quality, flavor, and choices of breakfast items has decreased from our previous stays, the shower door mount was not straight and so got the bathroom floor pretty wet each time the shower was used, but all else was very good and every staff member was excellent.

For 2 of the 3 days there were no pancakes, waffles, or French Toast, nor cooked oatmeal (just packets). The yogurt/granola was good though the yogurt ran out and it took a few minutes to replace. The bagels could be better quality/taste. Also mixing up the pastries and available fruit.

Room was clean and comfortable. Great shower, wifi & TV. Only stayed one night and didn't have time to use the health room or swimming pool. Dining options on site were negligible.
