We booked a mountain view but at some point were downgraded to a standard room. We saw the mountain view wasn't really a mountain view but the parking lot view didn't fit in with all our other rooms for this trip. The balcony was old and not very comfortable so we decided maybe the decrease in price wasn't so bad a deal. The lounge closes at 10. I tend to be a late night reader and tend to leave the room so my husband can sleep. There was no place for me to go except the car. Breakfast has some amazing croissants but the coffee machine made the worst esspresso and then added water on top of that to provide what was supposed to be coffee. There was a very limited tea selection. I truly believe that this place was amazing in its heyday be that day is long past. I will point out that we did not have time to enjoy the pool and it is possible that could have turned around our estimation.

Perfect Romantic Getaway! We had an amazing stay at the Vienna Hotel in Windham — cozy, spotless rooms and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect romantic escape, close to Hunter Mountain and local restaurants but peaceful and relaxing. Loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary EV charging station! We’ll definitely be back for another getaway. ❤️

This hotel is awesome! I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff are - Sam and Holly went out of their way to answer every question or request he had! Book this Hotel now if you are staying in the area! We used the outdoor decks to relax and have a cocktail, the pool and sauna and had a fire in one of the firepits!

Wow, what an incredible surprise! I wish I could have extended my stay. Holly at the front desk was incredibly kind, so thank you for making our trip even better!! The facilities were great: not only was the pool pristine, but there was also a sauna outside! There is also a path on the property which is an excellent way to start the morning alongside the delicious pastries and coffee.

Beautiful property. Room was great, the bed was so comfy! Nice continental breakfast. Pool was great, just wish the jacuzzi was running but they do have a sauna so that was nice. Definitely will stay there again!

We were immediately turned off by the smell in the bathroom. Looking closely, there are areas of red bacteria growing on the walls and the soap/shampoo dispensers. The shower curtain did not stay closed especially by the shower head so water got everywhere, which likely adds to the bad smell once bacteria/mold grows. Bathroom was also very small. FYI, if you arrive after 10 pm, there is no checkin person so call ahead for instructions. Breakfast area was nice with a patio outdoors. Pastries, yogurt, 3 cereals, coffee and a couple other things. No eggs or fruit so be prepared. Indoor pool was NOT heated at all. Maybe because of summer. It is in a separate building across the parking lot. The sauna and hot tub were not working. It seemed a bit understaffed. Often found no one at the front desk. They were cleaning up the breakfast area or doing things outside.

Rooms were big and staff (owner) was extremely friendly. They are dog friendly as well, which was a big help. They had delicious continental breakfast every morning with coffee. I would return here. My only concern was the bathtub was extremely slippery, the toilet needed a little more cleaning from prior guests, and the water is brownish in color. The water pressure for the toilet was also pretty low. Bed was slightly hard, but for the most part comfortable. Everything else was wonderful.

Great little hotel- especially for the price! Hotel Vienna was clean, had some nice touches, updated bathrooms, and a great sauna and pool. I felt safe and welcome here staying alone with my son. Would recommend!

The hotel is clean, quiet, and conveniently located close to the ski resort, which made our trip very easy and enjoyable. The staff provided warm and friendly service, which we greatly appreciated. However, some of the facilities do feel a bit outdated. One issue we encountered was that the bathroom exhaust fan was leaking water, and unfortunately, it dripped right over the toilet, making it unavoidable when using the bathroom. It would be great if this could be fixed for future guests. Despite this, we had a good experience overall.

My husband and I had our anniversary trip here. The surroundings were beautiful. We found the room pretty clean - though tub had mold. The shower could’ve used a wider curtain. It was a quiet room, and we enjoyed the balcony. We are early birds and prefer coffee and breakfast sooner than 7:30, so we asked for coffee maker for our room. The room was huge and newly renovated. Tasteful design except for the bathroom which was ancient but serviceable. The location is beautiful. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. However, there were two major issues that resulted in a poor night’s sleep. First, the pillows are so soft that my neck was in an awkward position all night and I could not get comfortable. Second, the router has a bright blinking light on it that won’t go off unless you unscrew it from the ceiling and hide it—something I only figured out after hours of tossing and turning. If I had slept I would have given this hotel a great review. Luckily these are easy fixes.

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was newly updated and a nice size. The bathroom was small but nicely appointed. This was one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in. We never heard any noise from rooms on either side of us or noise from the hall. The breakfast was adequate. Not a huge selection but enough for us. The front desk people were great. I had forgotten something at breakfast and the woman from the front desk tracked me down and returned my property. We had gorgeous weather and took advantage of the nearby walking trail. If you need a place to stay in the area I highly recommend this hotel.

Spacious, comfortable room at a reasonable price. The good: This property has direct access to the "Windham Path," which is a two mile walking trail. Unfortunately, much of the path is not shaded, so in this Summer\'s heat it was very uncomfortable. The included breakfast was just ok, but the chocolate croissant were great. The room on the mountain side had a relaxing view, even if it was more of a tree view. Hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The not so good: Much of the property seems worn out and needing repair. The screen on the sliding door couldn\'t stay in its track, making it hard to open and close. There isn\'t an elevator, so if you have trouble taking your luggage up a flight of stairs you should request a first floor room. Fortunately, there are only two floors of rooms. The ice machine in the lower lever doesn\'t seem to work very well, with the ice sitting in a pool of water. The refrigerator in our room didn\'t stay cool, The common areas didn\'t appear to be air conditioned, so they were very hot and humid during the day.

After 40 minutes of trying, at 8:50 PM, although we had already paid for the room, we were ready to give up and find another hotel. Then another guest told us that the desk clerk said she would be back at 9:00 to lock up so we waited. When she finally showed up, she was defensive, saying she was all alone and busy down in the laundry and she barely apologized. The next morning, we told the day person what had happened and she said that the boss (owner? manager?) would want to talk to us and that he would either call or come to our room. Two hours later, when we were checking out, we told her that we hadn't heard from him so she called him again and he soon appeared. He didn't introduce himself but did apologize saying "we did give you a late checkout". He later said that they would discount a future stay...but gave us nothing in writing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vienna! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a family emergency and had to cut our stay short, and they were kind enough to refund the remainder of our stay. The room was clean and very spacious. Would highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vienna! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a family emergency and had to cut our stay short, and they were kind enough to refund the remainder of our stay. The room was clean and very spacious. Would highly recommend.

Decent stay for a weekend snowboarding. Room smelled like air freshener, had to unplug that from the wall -- all of my stuff smelled of it when I unpacked my bag. Bed didn't get made by the maids and they didnt tidy the room after our first night. Greyhaired woman at front desk replied with, "I need to check the cameras" and was defensive about it -- just apologize next time! Sauna was awesome. Hot tub was not open in pool area, which was part of the reason I booked this hotel, although they dont advertise having the hot tub so no fault of their own, I just saw it in the pictures so assumed it would be operating.

The front desk was extremely courteous and helped us pick out a nearby restaurant. The geounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the heated pool and lounge in the basement.

This hotel is awesome! I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff are - Sam and Holly went out of their way to answer every question or request he had! Book this Hotel now if you are staying in the area! We used the outdoor decks to relax and have a cocktail, the pool and sauna and had a fire in one of the firepits!

The hotel: The manager is very rude with people with disabilities and service dogs. I am considering making an ADA complaint against the hotel. I have a cardiac alert dog who works at night during my sleep and my daughter has a psychiatric service dog. If your disability can not be seen then people like this are skeptics. It is not acceptable. Hotel room: Very uncomfortable mattress and pillows (extremely firm), bath tub was dirty and electrical plug unsafe.

It was great until 9am the general manager banged on my door saying only “general manager” I told him he can’t come in! And i was leaving today and he needs to wait. How dare he! Friendly staff and check in. Nice location with pretty view from the balcony on the Mountain View side. Large room, although a little bare and furniture somewhat dated. Clean bedroom, bedding and bathroom. Only complaint is that the mattress was quite hard and uncomfortable. Really enjoyed the continental breakfast with yogurt, fruit and fresh baked croissants. Very very affordable for off season rate. Promoted breakfast and we had morning activities each day. The breakfast turned out to be oranges and rotten bananas. There was packages of oatmeal but seriously when there are no places to eat that early it made for a hungry morning til lunch.

Looks absolutely nothing like the photos!! There is no view of the Catskills from the property and rooms are slightly run down. The front desk offers some beverages but closes down by 7 pm. Breakfast was so sparse we went into town to eat.

Convenient location, nice staff and comfortable rooms! One thing to note: there aren’t coffee machines in the hotel rooms (or microwaves). They do offer coffee for free throughout the morning, but if you’re an early riser or night owl, you will need to bring your own! Bathroom in the room was dated, but clean - would return to the property again!

Cons: No elevator, bed was was too firm, towels were nothing special, chair in room was ripped, no dresser for clothes.

A great experience overall! Super surprised how well the property was maintained. The pool was great and the sauna heats up very well. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is renovated with great water pressure. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to be back!
