We had a Studio Suite and it was spacious and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was very friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. So was the cleaning staff. The fitness room was minimally equipped but everything worked as expected. The primary attraction for us is the location at the junction of Interstate 20 and highway 378. It provides easy access to most places in the greater Columbia area.

Name was changed but no remodel so far. Tape was placed over any wording that had Wingate. No body wash or conditioner was in shower. Has some mold in caulking of shower. Would have been nice to have fruit and yogurt at breakfast and the coffee is horrible. Exercise room is small and dark with one treadmill, one bike and one elliptical. They have dumbbells and one weight machine. Ok for sleeping and leaving.

There was pretty significant road noise until after 11 PM and lots of kids just being kids. Since I was close to the elevator, it wasn’t as quiet as I would have liked it to have been. But, staff was friendly and accommodating, and I would stay there again. I was happy the bar was open for a couple hours & breakfast was ready bright and early.

Staff was very friendly at check in/out and during breakfast. The rooms were very clean, absolutely no odors and temp was perfect (no humidity). The beds and pillows were nice (not too hard or soft) and super comfortable. No complaints! Could not have asked for a better stay!!

My second stay at this hotel. Once again absolutely no issues. The property sits conveniently off I-20 and close proximity to Prisma surgery center. The lobby is well maintained. Room was very clean, bed and pillows comfy, and good quality bathroom towels. They had the requested wheelchair.

Ladies who checked me and and out were kind and efficient. Breakfast provided decent options. Room was spacious. Bed was firm. Bathroom needed attention. The tub was gross. It looked dirty. Either stains that looked like throw up or dirt My family and I didn’t shower bc we didn’t feel comfortable. We had a long day and just wanted to get sleep or I would had demanded a new room. I let the front desk know that we couldn’t shower. Showed her the picture of our tub and she agreed it wasn’t something she’d shower in either and apologized.

Decent price. Cleaning lady was kinda curt. Reception lady was very nice. Upstairs tenants sounded like they were doing Tai-Bo. AC was jet-engine loud. Also, it was either too hot or too cold. No happy medium with that thermostat.

There was no comforter on the bed when we entered into the room. Staff quickly brought one to the room, yet we had to put it on the bed.The water pressure was very low in the shower. and the shower was leaky. We were tired and very disappointed in the accommodations after traveling several hours.

Check-in staff was not welcoming. Apparently, she was stressed due to a busy day. She was rather rude. The morning staff was gracious. No breakfast!!!!! I was on a schedule and was expecting to receive breakfast at 6am. At 6am, I was told that breakfast was going to be delayed for about 25 minutes. I waited. At 6:35am, I was told that it was going to be delayed for an additional 45minutes. I had to leave. NO BREAKFAST!!!!!!! Very inconvenient!!! Very disappointing!!!!

The location is the best thing this dated property has to offer. We had to switch rooms and then had to get new room keys a total of five times, even after we told them we were staying. Very confusing. And forget an orderly breakfast if any size group is visiting. Will probably have to find a new “ go to” spot.

I booked a room for 5 people, 2 queen beds and a couch. When we got there, they gave me a handicap room and not what I booked. When I addressed it, they told me that’s all they had but did confirm that I did book a room that sleeps 6. Seeing how we are 5 adults, one person had to sleep on the hard floor in the room because it was already 3 in the morning and we couldn’t find anything else in the area. We were tired and expected the hotel to atleast provide some extra blankets or something since they couldn’t provide us with the room I paid for, but nope. Nothing.

The Wingate is a great option if you have a car. Easy on/off highway and easy to get to USC campus. It was clean and you could easily get to Target or Walmart.

The only issue i had with the hotel was the breakfast. The bacon was paper thin and the powder eggs were horrible. The highlight of the breakfast were the waffles, pastries, and coffee. Other than that the hotel was n prefect

The room we were given hadn't been cleaned. The room we were moved to didn't have a king-sized bed, which is what I requested when I booked. The thermostat in our room didn't work. The breakfast buffet was really bad. Would not stay again. The cost of the room vs its quality did not match.
