Property is under renovation but was not told this until I showed up and saw all the construction material and equipment in the lobby. After asking if I should move to a different property, the gentleman who was desperately trying to help me finally found a room that was ready for occupancy. Since I had already paid and had no confidence they would reimburse me, I opted to stay. Not sure what was going on or what the property is like when it is clean and efficiently run but it was so cluttered and dirty I couldn’t enjoy the amenities they advertise. Breakfast room too dirty with days old food, no water in pool, no outside furniture, uncomfortable bed, and TV didn’t work. Very disappointed traveler. They should have never accepted my reservation or, at a minimum, given me a discount.

A seriously affordable hotel with nice clean rooms. Every room has a patio or balcony facing the pool, and we used it's everyday! We actually would have dinner out on the patio. Parking is super easy, very easy check in check out, a pretty decent breakfast although I felt like it started at different times every morning. They even have a Tesla charger! I would definitely stay here again.

There were plenty of outlets in the room, which was good. The bed was just the right size, and very clean. The other furniture was a bit shabby, however. The view was very nice; didn't use the pool,, but I would have been glad to if we'd had time. The ice machine was useless. You need to replace it.

Beautiful setting. Exterior of building looks recently redone. Our bathroom was only half painted. Personal employee items left sitting around in furniture making us feel as though we were intruding. They were very pleasant to work with but need to work on an ice machine and the small touches to make guests feel more welcome

This was my second time staying here while visiting family in the area, and I absolutely love it. The staff is very friendly, the rooms/beds are very clean and comfortable, and I love the swimming pool just within steps of my room. This is a real hidden gem for those visiting Beecave or Spicewood, TX. Two thumbs way up.

First I have to say that the hotel surroundings were beautiful. We came in on a stormy night and the view from our patio was stunning. It was quiet and comfortable and we rested well! The staff was helpful and pleasant. We had never been to Bee Cave before and found the location easy to access other towns as well as Bee Cave. We had a few problems with the condition of our room. The drain stoppers for the sink and tub were missing. Also, the dead-bolt on the door was missing - we had to rely on just the door knob lock. The paint on the back of the bathroom door was peeling and the toilet made a weird whine for a while after flushing. Other than that, we found the room comfortable and the lobby breakfast quick and convenient. The pool, view from our balcony, and hiking trail were all really nice. We enjoyed our stay!

Room was clean and had nice tile floors. I love hotel rooms that don't have carpet, it always feels cleaner. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The provided toiletries like shampoo, soap, etc were lacking. There was mismatched shampoo and conditioner and our room didn't have soap (thankfully I always travel with extra). I was grateful for the continental breakfast but they need to provide a few more options. Overall, I would stay here again. It was a good value for the cost.

Dust on a lot of things walls and furniture. Fixtures loose and missing hardware. Ceiling fan with lights out and no cord to control speed. No usb to charge anything. Walls with holes and damage. Light switches and plugs old with rusty screws. Tv powered by seen extension cord going up wall. Clock unplugged and sitting on desk. Looks like mold in tub and shower faucet. Would not stay here again.

Hot water was very slow. The beds were a bit soft. The smell of the cleaning solution used for the room was very strong. The hotel was nice, we enjoyed our stay. Water in the room would help with coffee. We would come back, but needs a few things to be 5 star.

My stay was ok. The property is older and the room I was in was kind of run down. The are lights on both sides of the bed. One worked, one didn't Bedside clock didn't work and couldn't be reset. No drain cover in the bathroom sink. The price was low, but that is really the only reason I see to stay there.

The door was hard to open and close. The door knobs on the bathroom were loose. The iron wouldn’t get hot for me to press my pants. The housekeeping staff was efficient. The front desk personnel was not available when I checked out.

My experience may be one of the few but it was my first such abysmal experience and service. Waited for almost 1/2 hour for front desk to show up. And when the receptionist did show up she was so disjointed and disconnected. And after some trying times getting her to do her job I had to get another hotel. I tried to be as patient as possible having had customer service experience…it isn’t an easy job but this experience was at a different level altogether.

During the stay, the toilet had problem and we informed the front desk, the response was “here you go with this plunger you can fix it” and handed is a plunger. After I tried to fix it and it did not work again I informed the office and I was told “our maintenance guy is not here and you should wait” meanwhile we could not stay in the room due to horrible smell. Finally the sent someone to fix it but they made a mess inside toilet and smell worse, couple hours later they sent cleaning crew to clean the toilet. Another note was their breakfast service, they offered one family size cheese and butter for all guests instead of individual package, very disorganized and disappointing service overall. Pictures in Hotels.com convinced me its a nice place but dont be fool, there is nothing similar to what you see online.

After I tried to fix it and it did not work again I informed the office and I was told “our maintenance guy is not here and you should wait” meanwhile we could not stay in the room due to horrible smell. Finally the sent someone to fix it but they made a mess inside toilet and smell worse, couple hours later they sent cleaning crew to clean the toilet. Another note was their breakfast service, they offered one family size cheese and butter for all guests instead of individual package, very disorganized and disappointing service overall. Pictures in Hotels.com convinced me its a nice place but dont be fool, there is nothing similar to what you see online.

We reserved a king, they gave us 2 queen. The a/c didn’t work. No one was ever up front to get help. When we got there, the shower was still wet with open shampoo and only 1 towel and 1 wash cloth. Tried to go up front, again, no one was there. Called the number for the front and no one answered. Cleaning came in and made the bed, but didn’t change out the towels or leave more towels so my husband and I literally shared a towel and wash cloth all weekend. Then the next morning when we went to leave and get coffee and breakfast it was locked up tight with no one there.

Breakfast starts at 8 am, it's nearly Brunch. Everthing is unmaintained and not clean. Door locks not working right and tv could operate with remote. I guess nobody cares, just to make money. The best of all, when I was sleeping late at night someone from the staff just came into my room. NEVER EVER AGAIN

First I have to say that the hotel surroundings were beautiful. We came in on a stormy night and the view from our patio was stunning. It was quiet and comfortable and we rested well! The staff was helpful and pleasant. We had never been to Bee Cave before and found the location easy to access other towns as well as Bee Cave. We had a few problems with the condition of our room. The drain stoppers for the sink and tub were missing. Also, the dead-bolt on the door was missing - we had to rely on just the door knob lock. The paint on the back of the bathroom door was peeling and the toilet made a weird whine for a while after flushing. Other than that, we found the room comfortable and the lobby breakfast quick and convenient. The pool, view from our balcony, and hiking trail were all really nice. We enjoyed our stay!

The Mountain Star Lodge is a nature lovers' oasis nestled in the midst of a bustling Austin suburb. The lodge is set back from the road, on a hilltop overlooking a lush green valley full of birds and othe lical wildlife. The accomodations are rustic, but clean and spacious. The small kitchenette was an added bonus. The setting is quiet and peaceful, while being just a couple minutes from upscale shopping, entertainment, and offices. The proprietor "Sonny" was friendly and accomodating. If our travels bring us to the Bee Cave/Dripping Springs area again, we would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect for our family visit and the rooms were nice; hotel has some great views. The breakfast was very basic (waffle maker, toaster, cereal dispensers), had to “heat your own” breakfast sandwiches, but they were good. Breakfast beverages were available. The staff was friendly, room rates were great and we had no issues! Would definitely stay again!

Room was clean and had nice tile floors. I love hotel rooms that don't have carpet, it always feels cleaner. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The provided toiletries like shampoo, soap, etc were lacking. There was mismatched shampoo and conditioner and our room didn't have soap (thankfully I always travel with extra). I was grateful for the continental breakfast but they need to provide a few more options. Overall, I would stay here again. It was a good value for the cost.

Property is under renovation but was not told this until I showed up and saw all the construction material and equipment in the lobby. After asking if I should move to a different property, the gentleman who was desperately trying to help me finally found a room that was ready for occupancy. Since I had already paid and had no confidence they would reimburse me, I opted to stay. Not sure what was going on or what the property is like when it is clean and efficiently run but it was so cluttered and dirty I couldn’t enjoy the amenities they advertise. Breakfast room too dirty with days old food, no water in pool, no outside furniture, uncomfortable bed, and TV didn’t work. Very disappointed traveler. They should have never accepted my reservation or, at a minimum, given me a discount.

Checked in late but the front staff was awesome. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was terrible. I was told that the coffee in the canister was made for a gyest the evening before and I could just heat it in the microwave?? Yeah NO! The OJ had a weird flavor, the muffins tasted old. The waffle mix was in the fridge and needed to be stirred to be used. Would probably pass on this one when in Austin.

We had the suite, 1 bedroom. It was clean and large. The bathrooms are updated and very nice. The door going to the patio is missing the rubber seal so the sun shines through, bugs can get in and the heat/cold can come inside. The sheet on the fold out couch, had holes in the sheet. Not sure why. Maybe the cleaning crew isn't checking the fold out couch?? All in all we slept great.

I love this place, but I ended up taking a cold shower. I wish he had told me that the hot water took so long to come out. The ice machine didn’t work, so he said he would bring me ice, but didn’t.
